I have been playing for over 50 years, I am a pretty good blues player but I never took lessons and never worked on speed at all. This is really good, and you are fantastic. Thank You, young man.

I've struggled with that lick, a variation is in VHs Panama. I could never make it sound right. Solution, "Hammer on from nowhere". Genius. Many thanks for sharing. No one else that I've seen has covered this, and believe me, I've been looking!

I like how you use a flat fifth in the first lick, not many players remember the flat five to add some extra voicing, kudos to you, sir.

Good stuff man, for 2nd lick i find it easier to pick b string than h/o because i dont have to string skip but each to their own, shows you everyone has their own approach.

Yes I have some more that I will upload in a new video. Patterns that go up and down pentatonic/blues scale. And then expanding that to some ideas that go all of the way down the neck.

hi friend, thanks for your video and information, I can see that your Epiphone Les Paul version is identical to mine, do you know what year, price or how can I get it, because Ive buy it yesterday on line to a other user and got no information about, do you think by serial number can I get all information about?, I cant see by your tuner the epiphone logo but in my guitar are an abalone or another similar shell inlay , grover tuners and no decals, well hope you can help me, regards

Hammer on from nowhere is faster only if you are physically able to hammer on that fast. I can't - and I get tendinitis in my elbow/forearm if I try to practice it.

Dont hear any schenker in ed at all, ed doesnt play pentatonic stuff like mike or lean heavily on aeolian like him at all. Only guy i can think of that ed took something from lick wise is clapton because there’s a live cream era lick from im so glad ed references and mutates in a lot of vh songs

@@knightfall9394 you've obviously never studied Eddie. His early interviews he said he got the "wah tone " from Michael. I met Michael and Eddie ,Eddie told me he loved Michaels tone . I'm 63 and seen a lot of great shows . No problem. Peace.

@@williamapolinar1018lol ive been playing guitar for over 22 yrs and own albums by both eddie & michael, and ive read quite a few interviews with ed and nowhere does he name drop michael or talk about getting the “wah tone” from him. Ed didnt start using a wah till the early 90s and he never used it like michael did
