which version of Illustrator you use? I am using CS6. My direct selection tool does not work like yours.

You might have basic knowledge of software, but there are many beginners who want to learn from the beginning. So, providing shortcuts is not the right way to educate beginners. As it's an educational channel.

Obviously, ideas come to mind and everybody thinks according to their interest. Designers have different ways of working. Some start with the paperwork. But I am used to directly starting with the software.
