    That seal being tight as it was seems like a good one

    Thats pretty cool. I've actually been experimenting with making paper wads with the paper that amazon sends in its packages. Seeing this video gives me some great ideas of how to make mine better.

    I don't ever use steel for targets but I have used these in 6s on teal and woodcock and it did preform very well and I loved knowing that what goes down range shouldn't be harmful to anything but what I want it to. Great video man!

      Thanks for the info about field using on these. Sounds like they’re working for a lot of people.

    I, like you, am happy to see Federal experimenting with solutions to the environmentalists. It will be interesting to see how they work.

    I hope all the shot is contained inside the shot cup/sabot. Because not all trap guns have chrome lined barrels/chokes. It would be hard on your gun.

    It kind of looks like a thick cardboard tube. Does it have some kind of wax or something on it? Seems pretty simple I wonder what took so long to think up a cardboard tube? Very cool great video man

    Loads of clay grounds over here have banned plastic wads. But those fibre wads from clay and game are not financially viable for target shooting. £20 for x100

    • @theshotgunscientists

      I think those are more meant for hunting. Ain’t nothing wrong using plain old nitro cards and fiber wads though, I love using them.

    Hope someone can help me with this question. I live in California and I work with cattle. My boss is wanting an H&R dart gun just like yours here in the video because he'd seen it can propell darts as well. Now, do you or does anyone know if these require a veterinary license to posses or does a person have to be a fish and game officer to buy/own one? When transferring one, is is transferred/registered as a shotgun, a rimfire, a modified shotgun or what? Because it says Cap-Chur does it have to be registered as a tranquilizer gun? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    • @theshotgunscientists
      @theshotgunscientists  Před měsícem

      It’s just a normal 32 gauge shotgun with a rifled bore, transferred as a shotgun, but you do have to have a vet license to get the tranquilizer meds as far as I understand it. Anyone can own the gun and darts but not the meds.

    • @user-gu6nj8lf3w
      @user-gu6nj8lf3w Před měsícem

      @@theshotgunscientists yeah, we have no use for tranquilizers and our vet does all the Rx dosing. Now and then he'll tell us to go to Tractor Supply and pick up a bottle of this or that and gives us a dose to inject, however, some cows refuse to get near our chute so a dart gun would really be handy. I figured it would be transfered as a 32 gauge shotgun. Thank you
