    Awesome video man! Just got my DJS. In the end when you perform your remix it seems like the reverb on the effect knob is only effecting your LFO-pad. If that is the case, how do you do that?

    Helpful video. I think the LFO is a little confusing to the uninitiated. It would be nice if it had a progress line to clarify where you are along the cycle.

      Yeah it's more there for a diagram then really functional preview - would be nice to see it active

    I’ve basically come to have every piece of equipment you have haha - your tutorials are awesome man! Any chance you’ve done one on how to control the Djs with the squid? For example set up 16 sounds on the DJS and sequence them with the squid?

      It's something I've not actually tried yet, I've been meaning to but not got round to it. Will do soon!

    Hi, would you ever consider using the DJS as a production tool ? Write a beat/baseline/chords using 3rd party samples. Get a basic arrangement, then route it back into Ableton (if this can even be done). It’s something that interests me as I like look of the workflow and would consider getting one. Anyway keep up the amazing work. James

      I know there are many that use it for production, DJ sneak for example has written 100s of tracks/ideas on it. Like any sampler it is great for coming up with ideas. I’m lucky to have both the DJS-1000 and the SP-16, which the later I prefer to use in the studio because of its form factor & slightly different feature set (Dave Smith filters, extra FX slot, etc). For me the DJS is something I really only just use to perform with but that’s just my workflow & how I use the kit.

    Nice video but can you use this masterpiece right on a computer and sounds coming out of the computer speakers? Or does it have to need an own sound system?

    • @DirtySecretz
      @DirtySecretz  Před 2 lety +1

      The only direct connection with a computer is via USB for USB midi, if you wanted to get the sound into your computer you'd need to feed the output into an audio interface connected to your computer.

    I have a question considering the usb Connection of the DJS, what Kind of purpose does this have, MIDI? Or is it possible to Export samples with the project creator Software onto the Unit?

    • @DirtySecretz
      @DirtySecretz  Před 2 lety

      The USB connection on the back of the DJS is purely for USB midi. When exporting it’ll just export to your usb stick/hard drive

    Can the LFO’s be sent by midi?.. to use in eurorack?

    • @DirtySecretz
      @DirtySecretz  Před 3 lety

      The LFO can send via CC1 or CC2 so would be possible to map the LFO to midi. For example the LFO on the DJS could control the pitch bend of the midi channel that pad is assigned to. As to whether it’ll work with eurorack I have no idea though!
