I was wondering what time should I avoid the bike traffic at Davis 😨? Im a freshie and a new biker so I'm a dangerous combo haha. This video helped me a lot thank you!
+Anna Bui Hey Anna! Passing periods are the worst times to bike... so like from 1-1:10, 2-2:10, etc. Also 11:50-12:10 is pretty bad lol If you don't have back to back classes, I would suggest waiting until the passing period is over and then bike back to your dorm :) I used to wait until about 4:15 or so before biking back after one of my classes and almost nobody would be out at that time

So I am going to be coming to UCD and I was wondering if cheap department store bikes get stolen that often? I honestly find it a bit much to buy a $30 U-lock and cable for a $90 Target mountain bike. Would several cable locks be just as good to try to deter a bike thief?
+supergi184 The thing is, cables are really easy to cut through. A lot of people use just U-locks (rather than a u-lock cable combo) and try to get their front wheel locked in too. I would definitely say U-lock over cable. One of my friends advised me not to get the $10 RiteAid cause it breaks right away lol so I'm sure if you get one from Walmart or Target you'll be fine

the bike shops in Davis are not cheap! especially the one on campus! haha I would recommend target or Walmart
also, people sell their bikes on Craig's list and the uc Davis free and for sale page

Crystal Chai at davis? YES!!! I hate biking and do it as little as possible 😂 I haven't even used my bike this year
