The ground water pump does not need to be in water also, you can place it anywhere with power and it will pump water, or oil if its on oil land. You can also raise the ground water pump pretty high using "alt + (scroll wheel)' - Nice video, 👏
If you build a polluted water farm then you can use the more powerful stardust energy generators. They don't require any fuel and give you 35W of power as long as you're in a polluted area. You do need to get dirty water from a clean area but it's not that hard to take a trip to a lake and shove it into your car's trunk. EDIT: Also, you can create a switch to turn off certain parts of your base manually. I do this for my defenses and production facilities. If I need my defenses then I switch the production off and defenses on and once the defenses are no longer needed I swap back.

@@ComradeBigT The passive generation of both is slow but I can consistently get low grade fuel from car trunks faster than I can get acid. I've heard that the hospital is a good place to farm acid but that still takes a long time.
Have you tried EL making with ice tea? Link up a few purifiers, wait to have enough pure water then build a dozen refrigerators and make ice. While waiting go to a lakeside and gather lotuses and other herbs. Group up everything, make ice tea and sell it 300 a piece.

Nice tips, much appreciated. I did have the issue that when I tried placing my refiner in a separate building they went *through* my main one to get there! I'd also add that if you get the chance at Stone Structures: Intense Defense then *TAKE IT!* Gives the same structure HP as the enhanced but only costs materials for stone. That and Deluxe Storage Crate are the only ones I consider essential at this point but then I'm now waiting for week 4 to open up so I can go hunt the Forsaken Giant :)
If you just leave the crops and flowers grown and don’t harvest them they never die and will always keep your deviants happy so you don’t have to worry about replanting them kinda reminds of me how you make honey in stardew valley lol
The point of growing em slowly is to avoid the shroom pet to Harvest the grown goods. That is the only thing i can think of where slow growing is better for this purpose.
Series wiring tip can be risky. If any of them get destroyed, your wire link breaks. Especially so for power generation if you don't enclose it, vulnerable to AOE bosses and PvP.
Another tip: if u place the stardust filter thingy on a isolated platform on water the mobs cant reach it, only the ranged ones. The melee ones cant enter the water

Annoyed that this will go away when the new season starts. If they don’t change it for the 3rd season or even better the next one me and probably most players will never touch this game
I'm so glad this game locks extremely powerful content behind RNG dice rolls. I am nearing level 50, and I have yet to be offered the acid refining, gold / silver refining, and a whole bunch of other good stuff. They should at least make the rerolls take EL instead of a thing you only get once per week. As a solo player, you just get kicked in the head, not being able to refine such an elementary thing like acid, having to resort to farming it from mobs that barely drop any.
Get into the world chat and organise a refinery party. There are a few people on my server who organises the refinery missions in the world chat. Everybody will bring all the permits they have. Good thing is everybody gets the rewards you don't have to be in the team or anything just in the area where it's happening. Get the preserved deviated chops food item which increases your acid loot by 50 percent and just farm acid during the refinery missions from mobs that spawns. You end up with acid and premium fuel. I did this for 3 times and have around 6k acid now. Hope that helps :)
I have the acid making thing and it is not the main way I get it. It takes 4:50 to make 1 acid, which means when I make 99 it takes like 9 hours. It's more of a passive bonus while I really farm those refinery missions or do world events.

9:00 - That cave is big enough to do laps and you will run into respawns. Turn on a video or podcast while doing this and you will be in there as long as you want without running out of shrooms to gather. I also gather the calamus along the way (Might as well while you're there). In a way, this is a great cave for getting fertilizer mats. Mushrooms for Deviated fertilizer and Calamus for Seed Breeding fertilizer.

I started building chips using parts that I have heaps of and sold them for 15000 energy links each. There's a limit with each shop but you can just teleport to each town and use them. Kind of don't need to though. It was just some option in the mementics tab for leveling up (top left gold stuff). There's supposedly other ones as well you can get, make and sell. I see ppl selling copper for 10. Like man good luck. I don't have to worry about money now.
As an additional note on the Power Consumption of Deviants. You can, with proper wiring, put all or some of your deviants behind a switch so you can toggle their power usage. I do the same with my Guns, so that when its time to defend my base I switch off my pets and switch on my guns.

I'd go with biomass generators, they take anything alive and burn it for energy (spoiled food too) and they last forever when full (210 hours or so) and are easy to fill. They put out good energy and can be stacked too. No need for solar or water pumps or eels
lol that was funny to watch, you can actually max out your powergrid with as many turrets as it can handle without the inconsistancy of eel deviants taken into account, switch off your entire base's power, then power the "defenses". You just distribute power into 2 switches and hide the main connection nodes for defense location so they don't take hits if it gets too crazy later in game. now that s a tip you need also ;)
Video was pretty good but I think some of your timings are off, the fuel should turn 10 oil into 5 fuel over 1 hr. That’s means adding. 100 oil to the refinery gives you 10 hrs before it’s done. My setup is 5 pumps to 6 refineries and they have been running continuously since the day after I built it.
The most efficient way to farm portable gas and as well as polluted water is in the Blackwell Oil Fields, simply place your house near the stronghold, enough where your bag tics because of the pollution. I currently have 11 water pumps, which pump crude oil and as aswell as polluted water. 11 of these pumps are also powered by the Deviant Generators (which uses the pollution in the area as a source of energy). Now, I'm currently farming both Portable gas and as well as Acid.
Also the 6 deviant generators are also backed up with electric eels, from a generated 35W per generator it becomes 48-50W depending on the mood and stats of the eel.
I'm also doing that and it's great. The only problem i have is that im mining stardust and sometimes the mining plataform stops working for some reason! Idk if it's because of the power or some mobs atack but it's so annoying
any advice on hide farming as the gold sickles sells for 300 (copper version) and its made with 2 hide and copper great way to make energy for dirt cheap ive only found bears and crocs that only drop 2 hide
Hide will be more useful later on as its needed and a pain to farm, get silver and gold ingots, theyre easy to find, and sell for 6k for silver, and 12k for gold.
You can try to get the fatal bunny deviant that auto skins and gets hides and meat for you but its RNG had to kill rabbits for over an hour to get one at least 100 rabbits for me. Also does not seem to gather much despite mine being like a 4/2 deviant. I only got like 15 skins in like 12+ hours maybe 1 per hour the meats nice also... it gets all kinds of meat so eh?
You just need to place water pumps in an area with the black ground, they dont have to be directly on top. I also “merged” my base with a friend so all the crafting and defense is at mine so he can focus all the power at his for oil refining.
I don’t ever see it mentioned so it’s important to note that with the small water pump, it will make all pipes connected to it flow upward. So it needs to be at an elevation between your ground pump and where you want the water to go.
Its hard to find a spot that has both oil from the black ground and polluted water. Polluted water needs to be pumped up in a polluted zone, but I cant find one that also has the oil. (That spot in your vid doesn't have polluted water - only dirty water. )
2:20 i dont know if it was a typo on the description or just a huge nerf, but the ratio is now 50:1 crude to normal fuel, and 50:1 from normal to premium fuel. *edit* aaand they changed it again. but my refiners still only got 20 fuel for 1000 crude oil, its back to 10:5
At your tower of ascension how do you lower the floor the corner turrets are standing on? Looks like it is somewhere in the middle of the half wall and I have no idea how to do that.
It isn't the floor that's lowered, the walls are just quarter-sized walls. In memetics you can unlock half-sized walls and then quarter-sized walls. You place them normally as you would with any walls, they're just shorter.
You've made 2 videos so far that I've seen you talk about your tower, but neither video did you mention how you made it. In particular I'm talking about the raised section the turrets are sitting on, each time I try and build it the half walls cover them completely. What did you do to raise them?
For anyone looking for this info, he's using the small concrete half walls to raise the platforms. So it's foundation, small concrete half wall around foundation to raise it to half the height of a half wall (1/4), ceiling, then another layer of small concrete half walls. It should give you the look he has for the outside turrets.
Along with The thing that lets you make acid. There’s one That lets you make circuit controllers? I think that’s what they’re called but they sell for 12,000 and they’re super cheap to make!! It’s the Best source for energy don’t pass it by!

rust has been aroun for ever and you lose EVERYTHING in that... this is basically a base / map wipe. with house blueprints, its really not gunna matter

if you are in a area that generates polluted water, most likely you can also use the deviation generator for power which is the best one in the game edit: forgot to mention but the Buzzy Bee is not available on pvp servers
I am about in the same area as you, on the map. All I get from the water pumps in the oil is just oil. The water pumps in the river just give me dirty water. I don't see anywhere I can get polluted water. What am I missing?
@@P4wnyhof My back yard is a big oil patch. I noticed close to shore it is dirty water, but if I swim out, it is contaminated. I will look around tomorrow and see if there is an open spot with the right materials. Some of the stuff is buggy. The little pumps don't want to do what they are supposed to do, they want to put the water the wrong way. I have things hooked up to power, but they are not getting power, even though I am making enough. I have two eels, time to get more I guess. Need more Shroom guys too.

You dont need all 3 filled up to get full use out of them. I use 2 out of the 3 which makes no difference than if it was full and thats due to the perks making up for the extra 5% allowing better use at the base for more objects.

Not seeing it in the comments, but you can refine oil in the Super Refineries now. They FINALLY fixed the bug after many, many months.
You just need to place water pumps in an area with the black ground, they dont have to be directly on top.
I also “merged” my base with a friend so all the crafting and defense is at mine so he can focus all the power at his for oil refining.
I don’t ever see it mentioned so it’s important to note that with the small water pump, it will make all pipes connected to it flow upward. So it needs to be at an elevation between your ground pump and where you want the water to go.
You can stack deviant cages or whatever , does look pretty but it’s possible peeps

Its hard to find a spot that has both oil from the black ground and polluted water. Polluted water needs to be pumped up in a polluted zone, but I cant find one that also has the oil. (That spot in your vid doesn't have polluted water - only dirty water. )

2:20 i dont know if it was a typo on the description or just a huge nerf, but the ratio is now 50:1 crude to normal fuel, and 50:1 from normal to premium fuel.

aaand they changed it again. but my refiners still only got 20 fuel for 1000 crude oil, its back to 10:5
At your tower of ascension how do you lower the floor the corner turrets are standing on? Looks like it is somewhere in the middle of the half wall and I have no idea how to do that.

It isn't the floor that's lowered, the walls are just quarter-sized walls.
In memetics you can unlock half-sized walls and then quarter-sized walls.
You place them normally as you would with any walls, they're just shorter.

You've made 2 videos so far that I've seen you talk about your tower, but neither video did you mention how you made it. In particular I'm talking about the raised section the turrets are sitting on, each time I try and build it the half walls cover them completely. What did you do to raise them?
For anyone looking for this info, he's using the small concrete half walls to raise the platforms. So it's foundation, small concrete half wall around foundation to raise it to half the height of a half wall (1/4), ceiling, then another layer of small concrete half walls. It should give you the look he has for the outside turrets.

Amazing build & tips. My concern is many lik me, are not keen on a wipe and likely to restart once but noway would restart a 3rd or 4th time. I wonder in the game longevity on this...
rust has been aroun for ever and you lose EVERYTHING in that... this is basically a base / map wipe. with house blueprints, its really not gunna matter

if you are in a area that generates polluted water, most likely you can also use the deviation generator for power which is the best one in the game
edit: forgot to mention but the Buzzy Bee is not available on pvp servers
I am about in the same area as you, on the map. All I get from the water pumps in the oil is just oil. The water pumps in the river just give me dirty water. I don't see anywhere I can get polluted water. What am I missing?
You need to get close to a polluted region to get polluted water!
@@P4wnyhof My back yard is a big oil patch. I noticed close to shore it is dirty water, but if I swim out, it is contaminated. I will look around tomorrow and see if there is an open spot with the right materials. Some of the stuff is buggy. The little pumps don't want to do what they are supposed to do, they want to put the water the wrong way. I have things hooked up to power, but they are not getting power, even though I am making enough. I have two eels, time to get more I guess. Need more Shroom guys too.
@@P4wnyhof this morning I checked my map, compared to yours. I am on the other side of the road, just north of you. The river says dirty water. I don't see polluted water. Is it a translation thing? Not sure if you play in the English version or local language.

for starchrom purification, build your base in deep water. youi just have to deal with flying mobs. others cant reach
they need to buff the range on the shotgun turrets, they cant even reach past sandbags placed directly in front of them

Be careful with having the stardust filter on only 1 foundation. The rewards can bug and get stuck under the foundation.
You dont need all 3 filled up to get full use out of them. I use 2 out of the 3 which makes no difference than if it was full and thats due to the perks making up for the extra 5% allowing better use at the base for more objects.

Press L removes the wires and pipes for you but everyone else still see the wires / pipes just better management with cables and pipes you won’t have to hide anything lol

Was loving this game like no other until I found out you start over each season lol. I was like wtf. In what universe is this a good idea. It is a shame because my last discussion about this game was the fact that it was fun and laid back. Well, it figures. They will for sure lose all of their casual players which make up most of gaming today. It's a damn shame. Could have been the next best thing in gaming I thought.

2:29 You said "In one hour, that is 9 x 5 fuel" Unfortunately, thats incorrect. Its 5 per hour per 10 crude oil. So that 90 would give you 45 fuel in 9 hours.

@@RealStudBrownie That IS what the facility says yes, but you do get 5 fuel per 10 crude oil, so I am assuming either the facility means 10 per 1 craft or its one of the MANY errors in this games displaying of English information.

How the heck are you getting the guns to clear the half walls? It almost looks like you have a foundation at quarter height or something, but I cant seem to work out how you did those. Anyone know?
i somehow made it using "small half wooden wall" then placing ceiling wood over it
theres also a small stone half wall one which i didn't notice earlier, you can use those
