It might be just to lock them up for 5 to 10 minutes, we try to find fault in others before knowing the truth , she could have sold them are left them out in the street , but she is feeding all kittens and they look healthy
This is a prime example of a VERY BAD BREEDER. Cage Free breeding is the only way to rear them. It is heartbreaking to know these breeders exist. If your kitten is raised in a cage then it will not have the sweet nature that cage free kittens have. I wish I knew who this breeder is and was able to talk with them about the best alternatives to caging their litters.
Well im glad you know that this is DEFINITELY a breeder, and a cage like that is crazy at least when i went to pick up my british short hair the breeder which is awesome gave her kittens whom were 8 weeks old the whole big basement room, while her home was being remodeled. and they were very chilled kittens, wish i brought two but they are expensive but some where down the line may be months from now i will def buy another to keep him company.
Please stop. Those kittens are very healthy and sweet. Look at them. I cage kittens at times that I don't want them running all over and tearing things up. As long as you let them out several times a day while under supervision and they all get quality time with people, they will be fine. I lock my kittens up when I have to mop and sweep, prepare food and at night time when it's time to go to bed. Each kitten get time with me and the kids and they all get to run around most of the day. Am extra large dog kennel with a water bottle and litter box won't hurt them. Each we go to the vet, he gives them an A+ check up and the buyers always say they are the most loving, clean, and beautiful cats they have had. Pets are not people. They are animals and I won't treat them like people. Being confined sometimes doesn't hurt most.

cats should not be fed our of the same dish, because the less dominate kittens won't get enough to eat. giving them their own dish ensures proper nutrition , and they need access to fresh water at all times...Also that cage is too small for that many kittens and keeping them locked up doesn't help them socialize nor does it encourage exploring that kittens do to learn..They aren't a guinea pig that you can keep caged up
The breeder/owner said they (kittens) are animals and she wont treat them like humans. It is a shame, I wish I have loads of money so I can buy all of them and give them freedom..

You have to cage them when they're young. It's for their own good. I raised a litter of motherless kittens and kept them in a big dog crate when they were unsupervised. This was to protect them from my older cats, household hazards and to protect my belongings. Once, I left the house for a short time and didn't crate them. When I returned, my grandmother's lamp was in pieces and the gas was on. Thank God the windows were open or I would have had lots of dead cats and kittens. One of them must have climbed on the stove, went to jump off and accidentally turned one of the knobs.

The small size is to make sure they outgrow the cage and don't try living in it afterwards. They need to understand it's for babies so that they don't become aggressive if another litter starts living in it. Cats are highly territorial and thinks in "areas". As kitten, where they were born is the most vital area. Outgrowing it allows for a smooth exploration and leaving this area behind.
You can't feed kittens too much, well not readily. I'm thinking they don't get play time and it is just behavioral. Id hate to adopt one of these though, and having to deal with an adult feeding learned behaviour.
