After Dimash's huge success in the Chinese show "The Singer" the Kazakhstan Government decided to sponsor this his first solo concert in Bastau in front of 30,000 fans. There are 2 amazing Kazakh songs you really should react to from this concert. The Opening song "Qazaqstan" which celebrates his countries music and culture. Also the song that means most to Dimash (you must Google the very important true back-story) called "Daididau." First, Dimash sung this song 2017 at the competition "The Singer". (There is an interesting background video on Gloria Wu's channel with the first version of the song by Dimash. I have a daughter Dimash's age that is gifted and a over achiever like Dimash. These children put so much pressure and stress on themselves to achieve perfection its unbelievable, and their drive...there is no stopping them. Without Dimash having strong support at home he would break down. Kudos to his loving parents for bringing this beautiful child in front of the world and sharing his gifts!

That song generally addressing covid issue and all others. even though its mention sacred land.. and seems to be about his country.. but its actually more than that..
in conclusion its basically meant to convey message of to love yourself (you country), you must love everything else equally.. for peacefulness of your country, the world must be in peace.. so love everything without prejudice. unity and peace. have hope and stay strong. He truly is ambassador of love, peace and unity.
Please also react to Dimash's performance on same song in Singer 2017......it's less powerful but more emotional in my opinion. I'm sure many others would be highly interested to know your opinion on that performance too. (Dimash was sick in Singer 2017 and had lost his voice. He received 5 injections to his throat prior to his performance).
I agree... I love this song, but i think the big show in the background doesn't match with the story.
You mentioned something about his hands. I like to say that Dimash often paints with his hands when he sings. His voice is the brush and the sounds he produces creates fantastical images in the canvas of our minds! This is certainly one of Dimash's more powerful and emotional performances. Although you don't necessarily need to understand what is being sung to appreciate it, I feel that at least knowing the backstory, or the basic meaning behind the words only heightens the experience. I'm sure someone may have mentioned in a previous comment, but he heard this song when he was about 10 years old and it affected him deeply. He sang this during Singer 2017 competition and even received a call from Han Hong, thanking him for liking and choosing this song. Thank you for reacting to this. I look forward to part 2!

This is still #1 performance of Dimash for me. I have watched this a hundred times and I cry everytime.
This song was written and sung for first time by Han Hong, one of the famous Chinese singer and songwriters. She wrote that it is based on a true story, which moved her considerably.
At the moment that the cable car fell and crashed, the father tried his best to hold his son high. The two-year-old child survived, while his parents both died.
Deeply touched by the story, Han also adopted the child. She said she feels empathy with the boy, more than others, since she herself lost her father at the age of six.

thanks (but many years ago, since i was first few channel to get to hundreds of thousands of subscribers) and this was a time when youtube actually sends out notifications. I was able to get 50 to 100k view guaranteed every time. Ever since they stopped doing that, my view dropped to 2k over the span of a couple of month. A bit disheartning since my content played small part in what made youtube it is today and yet I received the short end of this policy change (most of my subscriber are from old days before the bell and I can't even reach them to let them know about this extra step now u need to take, so a lot of them don't even know i still make videos...expecting to still receive notification via email)

Based on a real event. Dimash was that little boy and the adult who still cries for his parents. What amazing is how those concert audience were so quite and in awe. And how small he seemed on that stage but how he commanded the entire room.
The song is originally compose by Hang Ho. DIMASH was not the boy in this song. The boy was adopted in real life by the composer. Maybe I didn't understand behind you mentioning DIMASH grieving for his parents, both his parents are alive. This actually happened to a Chinese family. Well, just to let you know.

Very powerful and emotional. Dimash is a story teller when he performs and you referenced his hands. People mention his hands quite a bit and you will notice a lot of the cameras pick up on that expression as well.
I’m not worried about his pronunciation. The fact that he will try so many languages in order to please his fans is enough. Dimash is always more than enough. What else can be said.

Great reaction! You don't have to explain how this song affected you. Your expressions gave away your emotions. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you check out the backstory of this song. It's based on a true event. It's tragic, but has a somewhat happy ending. In order to show gratitude to his audience in Singer 2017, Dimash learned this song in two weeks. He also lost his voice the day he was to perform it. He worked very hard to memorize the words, and was so determined to perform it, that he had throat injections just so he could get his voice back. The performance was amazing, though somewhat muted compared to this performance, but amazing nonetheless. Looking forward to your analysis of this performance.

Dimash is having an online concert Jan. 16th, 2021 and is performing for the Sister Cities celebration of Joe Biden's inauguration on Jan. 17th, 2021! These performances should be very uplifting! Dimash's performance of 'Daybreak' at his Bastau concert is incredible. He becomes the song & the music. It is a sad song of a true event written by Han Hong. A small boy was with his parents on a overcrowded cable car when there was a terrible accident. The father lifted his boy to safety right before the cable car broke free and they plunged to their deaths. Han Hong heard about the little boy and adopted him and wrote this song. Dimash was very moved by the song and when he competed on 'The Singer' he requested from Han Hong that he sing it. Dimash became ill before that performance and lost his voice. He had neck injections but they didn't seem to help. He was able to sing the song that was so important to him although in much pain. He lost his voice again immediately afterwards. The performance was extremely moving. But this performance is stellar and Dimash is definitely healthy. I love this performance and cannot imagine anyone else being able to do what he did. Thank you so much for doing this one. Please sign up to watch his online performance and the Sister Cities one too. I think that we will all be feeling so much better and positive as this year progresses.

Если я бы мог выбрать только одно слово для этой песни, то это было бы слово «рассвет». Производительность Димаша это «вау». Я думаю, что был один персонаж, где он мог произносить лучше, но… Я буду слушать это снова. Это было мощно. Я не комментирую технические особенности, потому что это не моя область знаний». Дальше наш печальный Юноша сказал, что он спец. по тонкому пониманию значений текстов, которые иногда почти непереводимы. I have had dimash in my life for a couple of years now. His music helped me in so many ways when I needed some beauty to hold onto. Most of all when I was sleeping in the bedroom underneath the room where my sister was dying. After long days and nights of taking care of her dimash got me through the rest of the night. We lost her in September 2019 but dimash will be with me forever.
