I completely understand your video. But. What if we haven't enabled USB debugging.Alot of guys don't know about USB Debugging because it is hidden. Our phone would be locked. How are we gonna enable USB debugging then?
In order for this to work you have to activare on the devide BEFORE THIS the Android Debugging. So this is not for ANY Android, even more if you forgot your pattern for real and you dont have that activated.

This is great! The refurbished phones we get here don't have a "forgot ____" button and I've tried over 100x! Also i tried bypassing it through Google services and find my device, but adding the password has some nothing but put a screen there saying that's it's been locked and lock me out of the other user i had set up as well. Still need the pattern. I hope to get a computer soon so i can try this. Is this possible on Linux as well?

that doesnt change the rights on your phone. you don't need to run cmd as admin, but you need a rooted phone. the phone's os declines your attempt to delete one of its system files as long as you are not logged in as admin on your phones shell. that has nothing to do with cmd in windows. cmd only displays what the phones shell has to say..
This was interesting but I do have one question. If I have a pattern & Pin set up on my phone, does this mean that it can never be permanently removed? Because even when you removed the lock from your phone, the dots that you would've connected with a pattern, where still on your screen. You could get past the pattern and still get in to your phone. But those dots will never be completely removed? What if I no longer want the pattern or pin locks on my phone at all, does this mean I'm stuck with them? I could try your trick to get around the pattern lock, but those dots will still be on my phone?
@Andrew Barnes I love this tutorial unfortunately it might not work for me. As you may already know I forgot my pattern lock, the first try said to try again after 30 secs, 2nd time after 5minutes, 3rd time after 10 minutes, 4th after 30minutes, by the 5th try it said to try after 60minutes, and that's how it has been for 24hrs now, there's been no other options. Please can you be of assistance, I don't wanna lose my data; it's a Samsung Galaxy S7. Thank you, waiting for your reply

the mobo is not reading my pattern locked phone, I have the Moto Droid Turbo X1254. I see this video was posted 2013, but I'm good up till the Mobo part, and I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the debugging setting, which I cant access on the pattern locked phone.
I did a reset on a pattern but I went to a factory reset and now can't get in to the tablet. I never set one up through google or gmail before the pattern locked up so now it won't let me in. I already did a factory reset and now I need to see if I can get it like it was new out of the box because it practically is. I don't want to do another factory reset because it will not let me apply this without me ever have applied Google to the tablet to begin with.

The Maxwest reads on my Laptop, however the BLU won't read unless I have access to the Phone in order to select the USB Menu to Device. Any advice you give would be highly appreciated thanks!! The Maxwest Nitro sometimes self installs adware/spyware which then overrides the Unlock Pattern - then I simply swipe to get access to the phone. I don't know what malware I can install in order to get command of either of my Phones! My BLU Phone Memory is full so I can't install anymore Apps from my Windows Google Account! It won't respond as the GPS on my Phone is off internally.... HELP!!! Thanks in advance! Really don't want to lose my Data!

im having M-Horse SM-c7000 i forget what my password was. i want to know how to hard reset it
brother ive got an galaxy s3 and i forgot the pattern cant access the phone at all and i tried the process many times my adb work fine but the moborobo doenst recognise the phone when is plug in.and it asks me for a debbugin option in settings but cant get access due to the pattern problem thanks in advance

Do i need this moborobo app thing? Or i can just go straight to the command prompt?
Does that mean if I used Pin code and not gesture or pattern that I will have to write "pin.key" and not pattern.key?

I keep getting the message to enable USB debugging in my mobile device but I can't do that since my phone is locked and can't access my settings. What do I do now?
I have tried the on/off button and the volume button at the same time an all I get is my wall paper and the time and a square and when I put my password all it tells me is wrong password. What do I need to do to unlock my tablet.

Is it necessary to connect to internet first before unlocking ?
