    🙋🏼 ABOUT ME: Hi guys! My name is Alyona. I was born in Russia. I'm a musician. And I love art, makeup, fashion, style and beautiful environments. I love playing with makeup and fashion, but at the same time, I’m quite a minimalistic person. I don't like the idea of being fixated on the body too much. I have an alternative and unconventional viewpoint on beauty, the body types and face shapes. I love helping other women find their "it" and finally discover their beauty and boost their confidence.
    I have several series on my channel that you might be interested in such as: Body Types, Contouring, Makeup History and Makeup Transformations. Also some random beauty hacks about skin care, hair, nails and beauty in general.

    I do think hair is more important than makeup in looking "put together". I look like I slept on a park bench if I don't set my hair or something.
    In my opinion, the biggest hurdle to feeling put together without makeup is getting used to seeing your own face without makeup.

    I love how positive you are of aging beauty! I never understood why women are so insecure when they age, i think it’s a beautiful part of womenhood. Maybe it’s because i’m only 21 i may not understand, but i think there is something so sophisticated about aging gracefully and accepting the age you are. Women who do seem so much more glowing and confident.

    • @ducks1321
      @ducks1321 Před 3 lety +35

      I totally agree with what you said, and sometimes also can't understand why women find aging as such a negative. Although yes it is very much normal to admire youth, however beauty is not limited to age, it is a beautiful sign of growth and maturity

    • @Laura-vs6fs
      @Laura-vs6fs Před 3 lety +45

      i think the problem lies in the fact, that those who are labelled as "aging gracefully" are exclusively women, who look younger than their actual age both in real life and in media be it due to cosmetic procedures, surgery, clothes, makeup, hair lol i mean you see it even, when people comment on young women, how their make up is aging them and all that bs, so it's automatically unflattering for them. Like what is wrong with looking a little bit older, especially when you are barely 20, or your age, when you are over 30, 40 and so on. The same with all the tips for makeup on aging skin, it's all focused on looking younger rather than doing what you want. There are only a few examples of women looking their age, wearing makeup and clothes that would make all us youngsters look much older, but they are still considered gorgeous. We should rather embrace that aging gracefully should mean, embracing your age, but still taking care of oneself in terms of health, skin, clothes etc with or without surgery and procedures, but I feel a lot of those have to do with society in general and all the hypocrisy going on

    • @dudanunesbleff
      @dudanunesbleff Před 3 lety +20

      How old are you? Wait until your face starts to droop, your eyes begin to sink, the sun spots start to show, your brows start to desapear, your lips get thinner, then you will see what we face and maybe you will understand. I was all OK until I turned about 45.

    • @Laura-vs6fs
      @Laura-vs6fs Před 3 lety +42

      @@dudanunesbleff it's about normalizing that as that IS normal as you age. It is not a bad thing at all and the problem is that society makes us think there is a problem with it. I am 21 and even us younger women get comments how our makeup, clothes etc makes us look much older like looking a little older is a crime, especially considering how young we still are lol I know it's hard to accept all the changes that come with age bc of how the world acts towards aging women, but remember that you are still beautiful and that outer appearance is just that

No refined sugars and similar additives ( sugar/glucose/sucrose/fructose - it has many names to trick you - messes with your hormones, forces your body to produce more testosterone, which not only gives acne, but also more body hair, PCOS, mood swings etc.) and no milk (it's a hormone cocktail for a calf, after all).

    Your tips make a perfect sense for me! I naturally stopped wearing makeup ~1 year ago after I FINALLY (after years of struggles) found:
    - perfect skin routine for my skin type
    - perfect hair cut + maintaining it regularly
    - doing brows every day (my natural brows are almost invisible so I spend 1-2 minutes every morning adding some darkness there)
    - found my perfect everyday earrings (medium thickness silver rings)
    So, once all those things above happened and took place in my daily life, I just found myself avoiding makeup (except brows) because in most cases even the slightest makeup disturbs the balance that I found. Also I think this is so relevant for me because I am so very very close to a pure Classic type (maybe with a slight D undercurrent).

      When you are of age and you can wear make up without permission remember to wear it only because you like it and it is fun! Not to cover your insecurities and not because you think its obligatory. Just take good take care of yourself eat and sleep well and you can go make up free all the time! Insecurities come because we are shown photoshopped pictures that are not real. Its nice to be real! Make up its just something creative not a nessesity.

    I don't wear makeup, and this kind of explains why it works for me; I have clean skin, natural dark hair and eyebrows, and that just looks good on me. Finding out my colour season also really helped, and I switched from silver earrings to gold and rose gold, which made a big difference for me. It makes me look classy without trying.
    I wanted to learn to do my make up for work situations, but quit because it just makes me look odd. Just a bit of eyeliner is the only thing I now do if necessary.
    Another tip I can give is figuring out your colour season; if you wear colour shades that complement your skin tone in your clothes and accessories, it really works wonders, and can make you glow up without doing anything else.

    Skin care is so important, find the right skin care and your face looks beautiful without any makeup. Right doesn't mean 10 steps by the way. You need to know what your skin needs and what you want to achieve. I have mixed skin, tends to get oily and am 32, so I want to prevent aging. I use salicylic acid mask once a week. Daily I wash my face with a simple face wash without parfume or alcohols. Then I use a niacinamide tonic and I put on my day or night cream. Night cream has retinol in it, day cream has niacinamide. During the day I wear sunscreen, every day, doesn't matter how cloudy or if I'm staying indoors. I have darker skin as well. My skin has improved so much by listening to skin care influencers like Dr dray, Dr vanita rattan and mixed makeup etc. Just keep it simple and targeted, and take care of yourself

And THEN put on the dye. The cream will protect your skin for getting any dye in even though you miss your hair. I used to dye my hair flamin red and this trick helped every single time, I never had any issues (at least on the facila skin, hands are another story 🤣😅)

    Advice for glasses wearers!: Choose less harch and thick frames for those no makeup days than you would on full makeup days! Because makeup creates both higher contrast and bolder features, so thicker frames in a more contrasting color from your skin color will fit in better with that higher contrast bolder look. When you wear no makeup those frames might come off as too much for your face though. The no makeup look is usually lighter, fresher, less contrasted and less sharp. Choose frames accordingly!

    Ally, you are so brave with hair color! What you've said in your videos, went into consideration, when I had my hair color and cut changed, this past Saturday. My hair is naturally off-black and the first time I got caramel highlights, the second lightest golden blonde seemed to do its job, but over the next few days, it kept getting lighter and lighter and I panicked!
    Next time I was at the salon, the second lightest golden blonde was mixed with some violet to keep it from getting too red or too yellow, at the same time.
    I love the highlights, but it's a dramatic change that's taken some getting used to, when I look in the mirror. On the other hand, the blunt past shoulders lob and the overall lighter look, is more forgiving to all kinds of flaws, than my natural hair color.

    I don't wear makeup, and dying eyebrows really made a difference! Great content, as always, thanks! ❤️

    This is super helpful 🙏 I also don't like wearing makeup everyday so I'm going to try some of these. I definitely need to sort out my hair, and maybe go back to tinting and waxing my eyebrows...

      Agree!! I don't have acne but I have tried almost every foundation out there. I hate it and it never looks good. I've gone to tinted BB or CC cream sometimes and bare face most days with powder. Warts and all.. Let them shine!! 😆

      I agree cheap, heavy foundation makes breakouts look worse but a light hydrating concealer- something like RMS uncover up- is amazing to take down the redness when blended properly

    I was happy microblading but found that with time they faded to a reddish hue.
    I started growing them with Babelash and then dying them and like them better.

    I had my top lash line tattooed with permanent eyeliner last year, and it's been a HUGE help in terms of always looking put together. It really just looks like I have thicker lashes (did not have bottom done but I might when I'm older). So I wear a Korean SPF 50 (they are of such high quality now that they basically can function as a primer) and some powder (also with SPF), and I'm "done."

    I use men's beard dye for my eyebrows. I use a fine spoolie type alternative to dental floss called Interdens to brush the dye through my eyebrows so it doesn't touch my skin too much. That way I have greater control and don't get stained skin.
