Please do not underestimate the faculty in other colleges. Generally in engineering, the people who go into teaching are the ones who are not comfortable working as engineers. The world is different.

Nowadays Students started choosing branch over college therefore these so called top Institutions are afraid loosing best Institute tag thus they have sarted propagating their college is best. College will be with you for 4 years but branch will be for whole life. IITs will be IIT whether it is new or old. Select your branch as you have to study and become a good engineer. You are going for engineering not for exposure only. If criterion is exposure only, go to DU for BA.

All IITs will also discontinue BRANCH CHANGE like those 12 NITs and 4 IITs ..Now many students will ruin their life by taking lower Bsc/Msc Branches in top IITs in the hope of getting Branch Change .And those Bsc/Msc degrees hv no future... Agar Bsc/Msc lena hai to IISc jao..And go for NITs rather than lower branches in IITs just for 2 days fame from relatives..Else take drop coz 2024 competition will be very less. No for sure. Otherwise what is use of different branches?. Also if recession is there non CS people will get fired on priority.
@@Well_done_IITD completely agree with you.. Non of our brilliant iitians are going to the core are be it cs or non cs... As a result we have so many fintechs, edtechs but only a handful of core startups.. see California where revolution started with core startups creating millions of jobs.. God knows where is our education system is heading towards.. thanks that non iitians are going into core areas.. 🙂

bhaiya kya jo opportunities Mech wale ko mil rhi lower branches like textile or meta maybe unko bhi milega ya placement k time wo discrimination hoga?
descrimination toh hoga hi ,
for example , civil has very low placements approx. 15%
where as mechanical has aprox80%
Nhi i meant like say a IT company is open for all so will it descriminate btwn mech and civil?
@@sid82536 mech will be more preffered as it is more related to it than that of civil ,
also , there are way many civil enginners than required ,
unless you have some expertise with civil , mech will always be preferred
