    I don’t see how redemption helps vs aggro. If you’re paying 10 vs aggro you already won that game and redemption coming on board doesn’t really help it’s more so a win more card. I can see it being great in the midrange or control matchups where at that point those two decks still have ways to come back. If aggro hasn’t gotten you by 10 resources you’re winning regardless of redemption being in the deck because at that point they’ve already lost momentum and are probably gassed out

      Trust me there will be games where you are literally sitting at 20-26 damage on base going into turn 8-10. Thats the goal against sabine to make then burn out their options. Redemption hundred percent takes them out of the game they would of won via their burn effects. Ask all my sabine yellow and sabine green opponents why they lost to me with 20+ damage on base during the showdown season. Redemption pushed them out of reach. Try the deck with and without redemption against strong sabine players and you will see the difference. Like a mention in another post prior to redemptions inclusion in deck the sabine matches were 50/50. ( i personally like better odds against one of the most popular decks in the game) redemption makes your odds near 100 percent. At least thats what my results have shown and have multiple top 4 and top 8 finishes to show for it.

    I absolutely love the deck, but I really don't think this needs so many out of aspect cards. You played bombing run 0 times and in playing it in the past, it just doesn't seem great. I think you'd be better served by Daring Raid for early drops and late game you can go face. The 8 drop slot is so crowded between Evacuate, SLB, BH Crew Avenger then a 10 drop (was never played) in Redemption. I like Krayt, but maybe just cut down on out of aspect and do more removal like a couple Calculated Lethality, maybe 1 or 2 Make an opening, 1 or 2 Rivals Fall. I suppose you can keep Evacuate, but I don't think it's good at 8. I see that better as bridging the gap to SLB. I think I'd rather run Frozen in Carbonite out of aspect than Evacuate in here. I absolutely love the Super Commando Squad, but I think I'd rather see the new Pike sentinel for 3.
    Great content, thank you.
    Lastly, the video says they'd rather run Vigilance than Rivals Fall, but the 8 drop slot is so clogged. I'd rather 2 six drops than 4 8 drops (with aspect penalty added).

    • @ralphedwards5962
      @ralphedwards5962 Před měsícem +2

      Hi, i can answer some of your concerns. As mentioned in the video certain cards are used for specific match ups that require a certain line of play. Regarding bombing run, its mainly used for decks that like to go wide with smaller units. Like sabine, leia, and the new kylo ren. Especially when the opponent goes wide in space with smaller units (like sabine) as you have the ground arena locked up childsen/supercommando squads. Bombing runwipes them out. With decks that play one character a turn as shown in the video throughout the matches bombing run can get resourced as there isnt a need for it. (Definitely can be side boarded out in most match ups). Also running evacuate is just preference to ensure a guarantee board wipe if needed. ( i like 6 copies of superlaser blast) especially if regional gov is used to call super laser blast. There were games against aggro that i could of won had i had a second board wipe during the set one meta. Again just preference that doesnt take anything away to the strategy of the deck. Not to mention the synergy it has with redemption/avenger. Regarding rivals fall. My rational is i rather play two low cost removal on 6 then play one removal for the cost of 6. Its just economics of the deck. (Essentially evacuate could be cut out for rivals fall but i rather not leave that option open to be over whelmed by a wide aggressive board state) the deck can struggle if you dont have answer to a wide board with removal that just hits one target at a time. So having a multiple options to hit multiple targets at once is key wether it be from multiple cheap removal events or evacuate/slb. ( set one i had 8 drop palp in there )
      I understand that this slow grind of a deck build may not be the best for some players but it is effective and has gotten me alot of tops in the bigger showdown events in my area. I expect it will do the same at gencon in all 3 big events 😉.

The timing made regional governor name calls more successful. I took regional governor out in place supercommando squad. I fully intend to readd regional governor back in the deck once the meta for set two is more set in stone. As of right now too many new cards will see play to effectively use regional governor more optimally. I know for sure krayt dragon will be a key call with the governor’s effect but what other cards in the set two meta is still to be seen. • @ralphedwards5962
      @ralphedwards5962 Před 2 měsíci

      Hi, i think i can answer that, in my experience the mirror match falls into a mill war. Especially in set one. It was the reason why i ran a complete play set of bounty hunter crew in the main deck. ( gets your restock back) and spark of rebellion in the side board to remove the opposing vigilance/restocks. If i wasnt running bounty hunter crew i would agree to more copies of restock in the side board. Imo one copy of restock is enough as you only meed it for one match up control. Its a dead card against any other deck. In the set two meta the control mirror is really gonna come down to who can maintain krayt dragon in play the most/ early play relentless ( in the side board with galactic ambition). The long drawn. Out mill battle wont happen often imo. Just for a little reference in the showdown season , i beat every mirror match in swiss and top 8 with the strategy above. The deck that did knock me out of all my tops were krennic green decks because they can go wide and main deck relentless which all blue decks struggle against. Now in set 2 krayt dragon solves the relentless problem that all blue control decks struggle with.
