Hello Lucas, great video. It’s the only one I’ve ever seen of a camper van where the seats tilt right back to partially form the bed. When you sleep in it Lucas, is your head at the seat end or back end? Does it make a difference to the comfort? Thanks again, great camper, great video. Kris
Hi Kris Thank you! We sleep with our feet pointing out the rear door. That way the bed is a little wider. It’s around 100cm wide where our feet are, and 135cm wide at our shoulders :)
Hey Lucas, I love this conversion! Did you screw the kitchen unit into the side panel of the car? I'm thinking about getting a Berlingo but concerned about getting the car version as I'm not sure how I would attach the units to it.
Hi Bethany, thank you so much. Yes we stripped the side panels, so the metal was exposed. Then screwed the wood framing into the metal side panel with self tapping screws and brackets. The car version is great if you want a light interior, and the windows really open up the space, making the camper feel less cramped. Hi, we thought a 100cm wide bed was fine. There is more space in the front of the car. Just make sure to get a good mattress, ours was a little too thin. No problem sleeping two people on shorter trips:)

Thank you so much Lynne Marie. Berlingos have odd shapes around the side windows, but at it’s widest part the kitchen counter is 30cm deep. The counter is 53cm high and 120cm long. The bed is around 20cm in height, 190cm long with the folding extension, and 105cm wide, just wide enough for two. The frontseats go all the way forward and are laid back making a flat surface for the mattress going on top :) Feel free to check out our Instagram - there should be more photos of the mini camper 🚐

how you fold the front seats
We lay the seats down, and the bed folds over the seats. Makes the bed 195x105cm :)
