Finally getting back to the older basics where you could move them a decent amount
I think they’re a good placeholder until we get the elite figure, the next step is the old arm articulation or old foot articulation
Some basics shown at sdcc have the old foot articulation not all do but some do
Need a Mike Tyson basic when he was at Wrestlemania 14..... they really need to make that happen

The big problem that basics have always had is broken pieces in the upperbody, after a few bumps, you are going to hear a sound in the figure that it is so annoying if you play
I know that this definitely has me more keen on thinking of getting basic figures. When his figure was first shown off, I originally was going to wait for LA Knight's Elite figure first when that came out, but now that I've seen all of this, I will not mind getting that when it's out
Why is this guy right about the whole Basics being everywhere I always see basic figures which I I love it when I find Basics because I'm going to say something people will not agree with but I think basics are better the reason I think that is because I personally do not care about the articulation I find buying Elites a waste

I’m so excited for these basics. I used to only collect the women’s and only certain ones that felt looked decent enough. I started a men’s promo gear collection but this is a big game changer for me. Definitely gonna be looking out for more basics now
My favorite action figures were the Ruthless Agression basics from like 2003 to 2007.
I love my older (pre budget cut) basics. It's nice to get something cheaper that might be a deep cut or even someone like Undertaker or Big Show who won't be posing like Spiderman anyway. Sometimes, the uniquely sculpted and unbroken torsos are very welcomed. With the future ones having all of that along with better hip joints, it really is the biggest payoff they could have gotten by changing one part. We know they'll also go up in price, but still cheaper than Elites and it really just means we'll have better figures and more figures.

Who remembers when basics had great articulation. There used to be pegs in the knee joints, boot rotation, arm rotation, regular elite arms (at the time). Also it had actual design on some of the figures instead of crappy paint on everything. Basics are heading in a good direction but I doubt they will ever be the same😞
There’s actually quite a few Mr T figs they can do. Boxing match with Orton on SNME (different than WM2). His SDCC was kind of a mashup so they could do an accurate first SNME with the blue tights. There’s him in the all black sweatsuit prior to WM1. Red adidas track suit from War to Settle the Score. And I believe a couple appearances in WCW in street clothes

Man this really helps like these really update basics to be a great alternative. I remember getting guys like FTR battle packs and other small nxt guys that I just wanted and some people like Hit Row makes more sense to get as basics again because of the updated articulation and that logan paul makes it to where I don't need to have a 60-70 ultimate edition to get a good Logan Paul
I think the one thing I haven't seen anyone talk about is maybe now you can convert a basic into an elite by torso swapping and leg swapping since they are on ball joints now. I may grab both LA Knights and the upcoming elite and see if I can make a conversion.

Oh yeah! People can just put an elite torso on the LA Knight figure and have an elite LA Knight.
Then again, I don't think they'd have double jointed knees.

These new basics look cool but wish they had the older basic boots and arms that you could put on elites along with headscan and accessories

I miss the Basic's bicep swivel so much. They were also great for interchangeability with the elites. 😢

I have been asking why the women basics have better articulation in the legs than the guys. Boss Fight Studios started doing it for their Lucha figures, so why Mattel couldn't do it was beyond me. Finally, we were heard!

They know that Walmart and Target did not sell great with the basic but since they’re changing the formula I think they would sell good so I’m happy and I’m definitely returning getting basic
I hadn't really given any basics a second thought outside of the 124 Io Shirai (which I still need to pick up) but now I'm considering 3 from this first wave and that's nuts. That suited Seth Rollins is a no-brainer for me and after that I think it will be a whatever I find in the wild but man, it's crazy what a couple of tweaks are doing for the appeal of this line for me.

I got basics.. I only have Fit Finlay, Booker T, Andre the Giant, Shane McMahon, Scarlett, and I think that's about it..
All the other Basics I have or come across have been passed onto my daughter's toy box.. which is still a good number.. I even grabbed her some newer basics Bianca, & Carmella $3.99 from ringside with my AJ Styles Ultimate. 👍💯

Man, I hope this isn't just an excuse to justify another price increase. I really only ever bought basics because they were $10 each. Now that they're $12 I'm very selective of the basics I buy. If they went up to $15, which I am pretty sure they will, I won't be buying any at all.
