Their Kryptonite is their starting pitching. I'm okay with some bad losses that's baseball. They are around 500 or maybe below in their last 22-23 games. They are coming back to Earth a bit not all those perfect timing clutch hits etc. The starting pitching is at a point where Tanner is the only one who can get you to inning 6-7 in a start. Maybe Gavin if he continues to round into form but right you hope a starter gives you 4-5 innings and so much weight is on the bullpen to be precise. Right now I'd be looking to add minimum 2 decent arms. Tanner and Gavin's spot are safe and Lively can be a back end but they need a couple inning eaters before the deadline. Regardless it's going to be a close race with the Twins because the Guardians are somewhere in the middle between the great team we have seen and the average team we have seen the last 25 games. If Buxton and Lewis stay healthy for the Twins it will go down to the wire. The could use a veteran reliable bat as well. I like what I see from Martinez so far
It always bewilders me how Cleveland manages to struggle against the bottom dwellers in the central. I mean I guess that's good since they'll be facing good teams in the playoffs but it just is completely bewildering.
Tigers arent exactly a bottom dweller. they have great pitching and their bats are finally starting to heat up a little

I was at this game yesterday night with about 20 family members. Best night of my entire life. I got a ball from the gift shop signed by paws. It’s really a whole different game from inside the stadium. Lots of people videotaping me and patting my belly once we got the win! Go Tigers!

McKinstry got pinch hit for in the 8th with two outs and a runner on second. I have no problem with this except it was Baez who hit for him. Of course he fails to get the run home. Then in the 9th Baez does everything he can to botch a routine play to end the game but gets bailed out by Urshela. When will the Tigers finally realize Javy Baez hurts this team’s chances to win games? He should have been released after last year. No other team in baseball would still have him on their roster. Make him go away.

Last year the tigers win 9 and 3 against the overrated guardians so far over 3 and 3 this year Detroit tigers are way much better team and the Cleveland they don't even know what their real name is
can the tigers get an actual closer? holy moley Faedo and Foley have been awful, Chafin too.
Maybe because Chafin has a tendency toget a lot of 3-ball counts, he SEEMS to be terrible. But lately, he's been uite good. Here are the stats for his last ten appearances: 10 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 0 ER 3 BB 14 K. He's lowered his ERA from a ghastly 5.14 to 3.72.
And vest can never keep a runner from scoring same with Shelby except for last night
