- I begin the classic Fallout 2. Our adventures takes us from Arroyo Village to places like Klamath, Toxic Caves, and The Den. This game is pretty wild so far. #fallout #gaming #gameplay

Next part to this video will be out after I've released another Batman video AND my last Elden Ring video before the DLC. The length of the next Fallout 2 video will also be longer! Thank you for watching!
Bless. I love longer videos
I haven't actually sat down and watched a play-through of a game in a long time. I haven't touched the OG Fallout games since 2007. It's cool to watch someone play through it. I appreciate you actually reading out the text. Gained a sub today friend.
Thank you! I don't think these playthroughs would be worth doing if I didn't read out the text for people! Appreciate the sub!
Found when your fallout video was recommended to me. Can't wait to see you play this.
Thank you! I had so much fun playing Fallout 1! Really getting into the groove of Fallout 2 and enjoying it!
25:09 line delivery here was golden
Thank you!
Your videos inspired me to replay Fallout 2
Hell yeah! I hope you have a great time replaying the game! I'm kicking myself for not playing the classic fallout games sooner!
you dopping the spear so you can pick it up mid fight was such a big brain move GGs
I think the icing on the cake for me was that it was like a 25% chance of hitting with the spear, but I hit AND I got the crit that knocked him out of combat XD
Yeah that was a great idea.
A good way to play fallout 2 is with the restoration project mod/patch, the tweaks mod which gives you the options (via an ini file) of having as many companions as you want, unlimited inventory and car boot space and some other tweaks, and the Ecco mod which adds crafting and some nice guns and grenade launchers. This looks like a good playthrough though ... i'll give it a watch.
Just one tip ... get your stealing skill upto near 100 and steal stimpaks and ammo off everyone.
I wish I would have installed the restoration mod before I started this playthrough! I may do a melee playthrough at some point down the road. If I do, i'll be using the mod.
@@shizzledink Also if you meet groups of friendlies in random encounters ... like rangers and merchant parties ... steal their stuff too! And save lots! I always go with big guns because Marcus is the only other companion that can use them, but he's better off with a plasma rifle or the pulse rifle, but until you can find him better weapons he's pretty good with a minigun ... preferably the avenger minigun.
The restoration project also adds a few more companions at the 'EPA' but you can only choose one of them ... i'd suggest taking 'Cat Jules' as he can wear power armour and use big guns also.
I hit a gold with this fallout series
I'm trying to get part 2 out by the weekend! Thanks for the comment!
Dude I got your video as recommended on my feed right as I’m making my own version of a fallout 1 pacifist playthrough lol 😂
That sounds interesting! I'll sub!
@@shizzledink can’t confirm quality like yours cause I’m new to editing but I’m having fun
All you gotta do is keep making videos and the quality will continue to get better and better! Also having fun is very important so you're already nailing that! One other thing I'll note is that I have plenty of videos with 1-10 views! Sometimes you have to fail to succeed! You got this!!!!
I know more about fallout 2, because my fallout 1 was so glitchy I never finished it. For sure the most annoying part is the temple, but everything else is smooth sailing.
The game started to click when I hit Klamath! Fun game! Enjoying the story so far! I'm really happy to be playing Fallout 1 and 2! I can already tell I'll be replaying them over and over as time goes on!
Fallout 2 has about three times the content when compared to Fallout 1
I see! Well that's pretty exciting!
Charisma is NOT a dump stat in Fallout 2. The number of companions you can acquire is equal to half of your Charisma rounded down. Companions are a heck of a lot more useful in this game than in Fallout 1, since they can gain levels. Also, to feel the impact of playing as a female characters, I usually set my Charisma to 6 or higher. That way, you'll notice how differently the people of the wasteland react to you. If you're playing as a low Charisma female, people usually treat you no differently than a male.
fineeee i guess i can subscribe for peak content
LOL Thank you!
ST 6 is a bit overkill as you can increase it up to +6 during the game.
AG 10 is also not optimal as there is a module which increase it by 1 to max 10.
With only 6 IN and Gifted you will be gaining quite few skill points.
CH 3 means you will need increase it (at least temporary from Mentats) to by able hire second companion. And you probably be never able recruit third. This is more about playstyle, but I prefer CH at least 5.
Big guns is terrible tag as you will not get first till mid-game. And that time you can get a perk which add additional tag.
Gambling is interesting choice. Fallout 2 don't have that casino bug (as Fallout 1 had) and you will not find casino till mid-game. If you want it for money I've always found caravans as better way.
There are more ways to get through Cameron than fight.
If you tagged Lockpick you can lockpick a door behind him.
You can steal key from him and unlock door behind him.
If you tagged Speech you can convince him that fight is too dangerous.
If you did all quest and training in Arroyo and Klamath, recruited Sulik and found that 10mm pistol in Trapper Town underground, Toxic Cave is definitely doable during first visit of Klamath.
As a woman with at least 5 charisma you can lower price for Vic to 500. But usually I kill trader Flick for equipment and steal Psycho form junkies or barman in east Den. Then go to kill Metzger and his slavers just after I finish Lara's questline. Not only you save 1000 for Vic, but Rebeca will give you another 1000.
I can't speak on most of this because it's a blind playthrough (so I wouldn't be aware of the modules that you're speaking of), but I can assure you that the gambling skill isn't going to waste. I'm recording part 3 right now and I'm essentially printing money. Also I was aware that Big Guns would be useless for a large portion of the game, but once I find a big gun I'll have lots of money and a high big guns stat to cause a lot of destruction lol Thanks for watching and thanks for the information!
Tim Cain actually didn't like the forced Tutorial, and between that and a host of other and better reasons, he ended up leaving the company with two other lead designers who resigned with him out of loyalty to their bond from making Fallout 1.
The game stops being their vision probably after the first 5 or so towns.
I've heard him talk about the forced tutorial and the whole debacle about the cover art, but I didn't know that others left with him! also first 5 or so towns? Holy shit, how many towns are in this game? LOL
@@shizzledink Well you already got through the Village, Klamath, the Den and a few more world spaces. Basically like those and maybe another town or two. But after that it's all off the rails.
@@nathanlobono5818 You're overstating that quite a bit. Tim was there for the first four months, and approved of all sorts of things in the design documents that weren't even yet implemented. This includes lots of questionable stuff that made it into the final game, like the ghost quest in the Den. It's not like his ideas weren't the springboard for what's in the final act of the game, either. The main reason he left was because Black Isle screwed him over in regards to his bonus, which is still justifiable.
do u have the restored content mod
I don't believe I do!
Why people dont use skill to heal them self, seen that happen so many videos latety :D
I do use first aid, but I have a low first aid so I don't show me spamming it lol Unless you mean in combat which in that case, I didn't tag first aid or doctor so my skills are too low to bother doing that.
@@shizzledink aah that explains. Thanks answering. Great video, keep it going :)
Thank you! I'm working on part 2 right now! Finished a quest yesterday that was extremely interesting! Having a great time! Hope you're having a good day! Cheers!
Pls try run with 1 Agility
That sounds insane lmao! I'm sure it's doable though! Do you just use high intelligence and charisma to get past things?
@@shizzledink never had the guts finding out myself 🐱🐈
I mean even then youd get killed in random encounters @shizzledink
1AGILITY + Bruiser for 3AP run
