Hi, don't you need the vertical batons going down first with the rafters, before laying the horizontal 2x2 batons across? Or are the verticals ones optional? Thanks
How is walking on the roof after installation? Do the panels or tiles bend or divit easily
They are pretty thick steel and do not flex much.
Roughly how much did the project cost?
Insurance fraud involving replacing perfectly good roofs is endemic in Florida.
I've been working with stone coated steel tile installers for over 30 years. Train someone to install that product in 2 hours.....is a bald-faced lie! I spent an entire week training multiple crews on how to install these types of roofs just to see them screw it up over and over and over.
It takes a minimum of one year of intensive work to get a guy trained to properly install a stone coated steel "Tile" profile!
Kenny is the man but you are right most crews canât do it
Well it's abundantly clear he's a rare breed! God bless him!
Hidden fasteners on 99% of the panels & flashing is good. Exposed fasteners on the ridge seems like a poor idea. 2x3 on the batons would be better than a 2x2, 2x3 will lay flatter and give a 50% better bearing surface.
