Let me know what topics you think I should do next year!
the real history of the spoon
Showing a North American native tribe that is independent in language and culture then all tribes around them.
Maybe you should do the Early expansion of Homo Sapiens out of Africa i.e Qafzeh, Dhofar and Al Nefud as they are outliers according to the general streamline theory of Homo Sapiens expanding out of Africa and they are also very interesting
Which country are you from originally?
Thank you, Stefan. Oh gosh, I have a huge, huge interest in anything about Doggerland. If that was revisited, any updates, I'd love that.
A shoutout from CZcams’s most charming anthropologist? 🤩 Many thanks for the mention. I promise you the best stuff is still to come.
I don't know about charming, ravishingly attractive maybe. When I saw your video about the top of Khafre's pyramid it absolutely blew me away man. Totally changed how I view the potential for independent research on here.
@@StefanMilo @HistoryforGRANITE - another fan of both of you guys' work here. Keep it up lads. NOW KISS
Family comes first!
Awesome! Your videos this year have been incredible. Onwards !
I need to match your output, 5 hour videos only!
You and Stefan are my favorite archeology creators. hats off to another year!
Game recognize game 🤝. You two are the best history creators on the platform imo
As an archaeologist, let me thank you for doing extremely well researched and thoroughly considered work to help explain the subject and make it accessible to the general public. Really thank you.
Accessible archaeology is fantastic.
I agree.
I love this channel. Always fascinating and very well produced
As part of the general public, I appreciate a professional’s praise of a channel. Thanks
@@loislewis5229 Anthropology has never done a great job at presenting its research to regular folks. Speaking just of archaeology most work is never published, lots of it is in field reports, grey literature, or presentations at conferences. Most published work is in small press journals and written for academics. Few people end up with easy access and that leaves it to the media to select what they want to present. And that leads us to ancient aliens and Graham Hancock.
Stefan's efforts have made it accessible and synthesized a lot of research most people are totally unaware of and it's clear he enjoys doing it.
No exaggeration, Stefan Milo is my very most favorite CZcams channel! Thank you for all you do to enrich our lives Stefan Milo.
The passion shows in your work. You have this genuinely infectious presentation style, knowledge, personality and humour; professional without losing that amateur edge that makes it easy for your viewers to connect with you. Great work - I always look forward to your videos! Have a good Christmas!
Thanks Matt! Merry Christmas!
It's also the logical attitude and dedication to trying to discover what is true and not resulting in simplistic rhetoric. Always interesting and educational, many thanks.
@@StefanMiloI like your enthusiasm. You seem to really enjoy doing what you're doing. So this enjoyment drives you forward, and we hear this enjoyment in your voice to us.
It's interesting too. This past is the past of all of us.
Future video ideas? Whatever motivates you is what I want to watch. Because you will be enjoying it. And we feel that.
Stefan! Thank you for all you give to us, the friggin world! You are a shinning light, sugar! Thank you for inspiring me to have interests outside of crying on the couch. Seriously, you’ve gotten me through some tough times. Learning from you is fun and makes me feel smart 🎉
I would like to add my voice as another archaeologist thanking you so much for the high quality content youve been feeding my brain with. In my opinion, what you've created here is one of the highest quality channels on this website. Here's to another good year!
Hey Stefan it's me Leandro/That Native Guy, the Native American in London and this is my alt account but thanks Stefan as a fellow man who studies paleoanthropology I really appreciate the effort you put into these videos that I have watched for the past 3 years, much love Stefan, Thank you for everything you did and helped me with this year! ❤
Good work this year Stefan, you are a good science person.
Your videos make me feel like I'm standing right there with you, seeing the artifacts you're pointing at. Please keep 'em coming!
My wife and I are both huge fans! Keep up the quality videos man, appreciate it
Love your stuff man.
Spoons up baby
Love your channel! Especially appreciate a few things:
1. Amazing interviews! Love the experts you bring in and you manage to balance deeply technical discussion with explanations almost anyone can understand.
2. Willing to state when you (or no one knows) and explain why.
3. Willing to address the controversies without cowtowing to conspiracies.
4. Humanizing even our most ancient relatives. I remember you once using the term "woman" instead of "female" or "creature" to describe I think an Austaulapithicus. And you do that with every individual or group you discuss.
5. Your charming, dorky, adorably awkward presentation style.
Well said! I, too, love his adorable, humanizing style. ✌️😎🍀
Agreed!
I'm sure that I speak for a lot of other people when I say that you're not just one of my favorite content creators, you're a genuine inspiration and a great reminder that this line of knowledge isn't a waste of time or just for self-gratification. You're a shining example of how anyone can create a successful niche for themselves if they just put enough time and passion into it. We love you man, keep up the great work.
Happy holidays to you and your family. Thank you for being interested. We are too! Keep being interesting! ❤
Hey Stefan. This is the 1st time ive left a comment n ur chanel. Plz dont change a thing sweety. You're nice manner and great way of explaining all things about ancient humans is fab. Keep up the good work. Love from Scotland
You're passion for archeology and early humans shows, and that's partially what makes your videos so fun to watch. Because as a viewer, I get to learn something new, and I feel like you genuinely enjoy sharing. Certainly fun for me, can't wait to see what comes next.
Unintended consequence of this vid is that I loved being on the hike in the NW woods with you. There are many areas in the West that I miss, but today I felt the dampness, the cold and inhaled the wonderful scents of the forest.
Love the paleoarchaeology too!
Stefan, thank you for your work!! Your channel has helped me get friends who don't even normally watch youtube, interested in archeology! Obviously that's just because of your good looks though, not the entertaining, funny, thought-provoking content ;) It's been amazing to see the growth of your channel ever since that collaboration about ancient boats. It feels like a regular chap just like me, except more handsome, is achieving his dreams!!
I hope you've found my comments over these years intriguing, and only a little disturbing. I try to keep you on your toes :) Thank you again for being a shining example of what a man with a bong stashed under his bed can accomplish.
I hadn't seen your channel up until a few months ago, and since finding it I've watched damn near every video. The content is great, it's presented well, and your enthusiasm is contagious.
Congrats on the success, and much health and happiness to you and yours over the holiday season and beyond.
"original research" and quality research is the exact reason I watch your channel and I'm excited it's going that direction. Good Job understanding what's interesting to viewers!!! Your attitude has always been inspiring, so I'm always happy to see you continuing a passion. doing the videos outside is a good replacement for going on site, don't worry, you still include visuals. Again, keep it up, I love the content!!
Many thanks to you Stefan for your informative and well-made programs. Keep hiking!
Your ramblings make me feel so relaxed...so relatable...thankyou for being a mensch❤
I got my anthropology degree in 2010 as well, found an abundance of unemployment in the field. You’ve reconnected me with that passion after not being involved at all for years, thank you for the videos!
I love your content and the way you present it since day one. Thank you for what you are doing, pepple like you make the world a better place.
I’m so happy I found this channel this year, your one of my new favorite CZcamsr!
Bring back the spoon
#justiceforthespoon
Thank you! Every time I see that you've uploaded a new video it brings me genuine joy. That's true of only a handful of channels.
I was never really that into archaeology and then someone linked a video of yours that I thought was really fantastic. Ever since then I've gone on to learn so much about archaeology and this is now by far my favourite CZcams channel. I'm so glad you enjoy making these videos Stefan because I bloody enjoy watching them.
I’m so happy for you Stephan. Your content is getting better video by video. You helped inspire me to make my own channel and like you said, follow your passions! Make a channel to share your passions!
I can’t wait to see what both your channel and archeology is going to produce is 2024. My eyes are set on the wooden ‘structure’ at Kalambo falls, maybe a future video for you👀 Truly exciting. Have a great holiday and great work this year mate.
Just had a peek @ancientyoke... Subbed! 👍
You're doing great keep it up!
Love your passion for the topics you talk about and how you share it
Congrats on the great year Stefan!
One thing I'd like to see you explore is the history of mapmaking. What are the oldest objects we can say might be maps, etc. When you Google that you just get a bunch of articles on the Imago Mundi, but surely maps predate writing.
what can i say except, “You’re welcome.”
As a historian who is not working on researching History, thank you for let me connect with our shared passion in such a great way. You have given us an amazing combination of thoroughly researched information and a heartwarming humanization of the past. Thank you!
The history side of CZcams has so much cool content. And it makes me happy how the audience for that genre of CZcams videos has grown and grown.
The style of your videos is what makes your channel so great! Just listening to an interview is not so great. Keep up the great work!!!!
And thank you for all your hard work and wonderful content! Happy Holidays.
Lived in Portland for a while: LOVE Forest Park! Used to be one of those runners. ALSO, I'm very glad that you are making wonderful, expansive plans for the coming year. Cant wait to see what your next videos will be about. Always enjoy your work.
Love ur stuff dude keep it up. Your enthusiasm for what you cover is contagious
Greetings from Mammoth Lakes! Thank you for your videos. I was trained in Yosemite following our Archs and I absolutely love hearing new insights on our past. 4 o'clock Stoner 😂 is always my favorite!
Your videos have been so good this year, I can't wait to see what you're going to do next year!😁
And again, thank you for you short clip that I was able to use in my video, it was awesome you wanted to contribute.
You Rock Stefan!👌
Milo, you are undoubtedly my most look-forward-to creator on this bloody platform. Massively informative, constructively unbiased, funny; mate, keep up the good work and we look forward to seeing and hearing more from you in the new year! Cheers!
And thank you for your content. All your success is well deserved and keep doing what you're doing. ❤
You deserve everything good that comes your way. Your doing a brilliant job of making your videos easy to watch and interesting.
Personally id love to see you do a video on 'the devils lettuce' use throughout history. That would be cool
Thank you for all your interesting content Stephan, your channel is my favourite archaeological channel. Can you do a Q & A next year?
Plus, you're one of the best storytellers ever.
Thank you! Making archaeology more accessible and entertaining. And for trying to be aware of non-western modes of knowledge
I only recently found your channel, but I've already binged dozens of videos, several of which I've rewatched multiple times, particularly those on Shanidar 1, Il Principe, and Homo Erectus. The story of Nandy is one of my all-time favorite CZcams videos of any type. Anthropology and archeology are so fascinating to me, especially around pre-history/early humans/Neanderthals. I love the way you present your chosen topics and how well you highlight the overarching humanity that connects it all.
Stefan - love your content, only one minor complaint - I wish you could upload like 10x as much. 😊😊😊 I really enjoy your relaxed style and curiosity. Hope to see more great content next year
Nebula viewer here, came over here to comment. Found you over on Nebula this year and I love your content! I learn so much with every video and get excited every time I see a new one, keep up the amazing work! Thank You!
Thanks for the great content
Thank you for all the great videos this year. I appreciate the work you put in to them and all that you have taught me. Good luck next year.
Yay I’m on almost time 😁 love to see something new from Stefan!
One of the best around.. a favorite source for historical content..
Thank you Stefan! My dad wad a physical anthropologist at Harvard-(a bone guy) when I was growing up, and had an office at the Peabody Museum in Cambridge, where I was allowed to roam about often...loved the place, loved.him, miss him, and still fascinated by natural history, human history, fossils, geology, etc. When I was eight or nine in the early Sixties, Louis Leakey visited us up in Gloucester when he was visiting the States and spread out Lucy's bones on our big kitchen table and he and my Dad had a great time discussing the Leakey's discoveries. Later on Louis showed us kids how to do African string figures... My Dad would have loved the amazing DNA revelations on human origins and populations that have happened since his lifetime! Thanks again for your fascinating videos...I became a musician, not a scientist like my parents but I still love this stuff! Looking forward to more of your work in 2024!!
You smashed this year. You genuinely add to my quality of life and I have learned some truly great things from your videos, and I’m sure many others have done the same. Keep doin you, Stefan.
It’s awesome to see people like you Milo, doing well researched work get well deserved traction and engagement, a necessary counter balance to the pseudo science grift by others that tend to flood the scene. Happy new year!
I enjoy your videos; not only for the fascinating subject matter but also because of your enthusiasm and how you don't take yourself too seriously!
MIIIILOOOOO
Congratulations on your great success and wonderful life !
You are such a huge inspiration to me and so many others.
Keep up the great work ! Your open minded outlook is a model for all scientists and Big History research.
BRAVO !!!!

Great stuff stefan and merry Christmas, happy new year!
History of granite has to be one of the best up and comers in the history space since told and stone.
For me your content is great because you always strive to personalize the shared humanity behind the discoveries. Also the artwork is fantastic and really helps. Plus youre a great presenter. Excited for 2024
I enjoy your videos, thanks Stefan!
Great video, I loved the forest in the background! I have been thanking all the people making videos that I have liked this year because there is just not enough love going around and this video was inspired with I think the same kind of goal, send love. So I just want to say love the work you do, and Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

I love every day that has a new video from you!
Proud to be a Patreon, and so happy to have been around your channel long enough to see your evolution from the plastic spoon days! You stumbled upon your calling - archaeology education to a mass audience. Translating complex knowledge into something comprehensible and entertaining is a rare skill, and you've done everything well. Stumbling upon it may have been an accident, but you are the reason for the success of your career! Congrats!
Thanks for all the videos this year!
Thanks Stefan, love your work. Stay safe everyone ❤
Thank you too Stefan, and Happy Holidays sir
Merry Christmas!
Mr Milo.A realy freaking good show you have. It is diving deep in the subjects but you make em surface. Keep up the good work man. Thank you....
PS: It is the positive vibe you have man
Oh yeah, I love the idea of the feature-length bronze age video!
Keep doing things the way you do them, I love your delivery, so genuine and loveable!
De nada, be safe and always stay free! Have a great year next year. You deserve your audience, and we appreciate all the work that goes into each new piece of work.
