Unfortunately not every game company has as much money as Ubisoft.

Meanwhile EA's marketing department would send Patrick Söderlund with that helicopter, drop a giant lootbox on the crowd and educate (insult) them with a megaphone on why from now on every EA game would be a live service (early access), include gambling mechanisms which rival those of established casinos (with the exception that even they wouldn't target children) and a history-changing flavor of ridiculous gender politics and politically correctness.

Carlos Smith I was referring to all the Star Wars movies. Daisy Ridley is an amazing actress that played her role well.
Carlos Smith It’s weird, the lore of Far Cry is fat between in each other but they’re all connected. All the numbered Far Cry games including Primal all happened in different timelines but in completely unrelated events.
He's getting paid for it.
I love that he stays in character even when he gets out of the helicopter, so still and slow, as if every move is deliberate and carefully planned out to show how skilled he is at leading people, and how he holds the worship pose until the helicopter flies off and doesn’t even really look at the helicopter he just waits for the noise to disappear and every inflection! God I love his acting!!! Of course he breaks character at the end since it’s a super long event and he’s not meant to be in character the whole time, but when he’s in character he’s absolutely AMAZING!!!!
I could play 5 games about the cult, read 40 books about it 😭 I wish there was more content, it's so good.

Everyone was talking and rowdy before the father got there. But when he began to speak there was a hush. And silence. That is the charisma of a cult leader. Even for an actor playing a character that is both amazing and terrifying.

when he stood up there with his hands up in the air i got major chills and for a moment i forgot this was reality and was convinced i was witnessing another cutscene from the game. talk about comitting to a character. this man has immortalized himself as one of the best video game villians out there some may argue that there's way better top tier villians out there but i think without a doubt joseph seed is a villian worthy of being remembered.

Knight Rider who wouldn’t? Joseph Seed is so insanely captivating because he’s not completely fictional. He is the result of unchecked ideologies. Joseph Seed is what happens when mental illness and real life events collide. People like him have existed throughout history, and they won’t be going away anytime soon. He’s scary because he’s real.

The amazing thing is that those cameras and phones you see during Joseph's speech don't detract from anything at all. Because a cult leader would have a following that would broadcast his message far and wide, with whatever they have available to them.
Even the bbq line at the end, it would be that type of charisma that would keep people invested.

I just discovered Far cry 5... This is unbelievably cool. I know I'm a few years late to the party, (2024) but Hope county has been my 2nd home lately. Far cry 5 is a masterpiece.
Same here I just bought it from Epic for INR 449 or US $5.37. Defeated John and Faith, 2 down, 2 to go.
I bought this game just recently as well. It was cheap, and I remembered the game getting buzz several years ago. Wish I'd have gotten it earlier. The game is so well-written (some of the "the cult captures you!" bits do feel a little contrived though). I thought all the siblings were pretty good, and Joseph Seed might genuinely be one of my favorite videogame characters ever.

Anthony A Most probably. Characters are often based on the actors since the performance are all motion captured. Makes it a lot easier for the animators to work with if they look similar!

A lot of games use motion capture these days, the actors just act like they would if they were filming a movie, only with a mocap suit on so they can bring them into the game.

This man is really dangerous if he puts his speech skills into action. He can have such emotional effect on you that you would follow him blindly. In fact, I don't know if some of you may agree but he could be a phenomenal actor in the walking dead series.
I love Joseph's persona in the game how Ubisoft created someone with such a distinctive appearance and mind I mean he is manipulative in every way as he doesn't try to kill you every time you kill a member of his family or destroy his settlements he just asks for that of confession and releasing your sins but he is a crazy man inside and my favourite scenes are every time you kill someone important I.e. John you have those little cutscenes of him in a room with a red light and some haunting background music as he just stares right at you almost as he is staring into your soul
