The Fallout 4 World is DOOMED ☠️!

- We all know that in Fallout, the world was destroyed by nukes, right? WRONG! It was actually bad map design that caused the desolate landscape.

Nice
this was an actual plan by a German architect named Herman Sorger. this was right after ww1 and the population was increasing. so Europe needed more land to live on. Herman Sorger thought that a new war would be inevitable if Europe could find a solution (he was partially right I guess) so he designed the "Atlantopa project". putting a few dams near Gibraltar to partially drain the Mediterranean, creating more livingspace while generating a huge amount of electricity. Its a pretty cool project to read about.
Wasn't there also a similar plan for the Baltic.
Not tryna be that guy but it’s Atlantropa
I had to make sure that someone came down here in posted this. Thank you.
@@MikeHunt-zy3cnnot sure about the entirety of the Baltic but I've heard of plans to build a dam stretching from Umeå in Sweden to Vaasa in Finland which would dry the northern part of the Gulf of Bothnia.

But they are all surrounded by other oceans...and he claims that the lack of water would cause drought yet claims it must go somewhere...why? Why must it go somewhere? And if it goes somewhere than would there then not still be the required water to hydrate the areas claimed to be deserts? This dosent seem accurate thru my logic.
@@DeltaChimp If you remove a massive body of water, then the areas directly next to the body of water would be drained of the water. Sure, there are other sources, but removing that much would completely wreck the environment.
@@DeltaChimp the trick is in osmosis. Its a process where water wants to equalize its concetration (amount of substance per cubic decimeter of water) in two separate environment by passing a part of itself from the first to the second. In this scenario, we can see that what happened is that there was less substance of the mediterranean sea than the atlantic. This can be achieved by removing hundreds of tonnes of salt to be getting anywhere. When it happens, the atlantic tries to pump as much water into itself just so both can become isotonic (normal concetration), which further results in the sea draining.
Fun fact per the older games: The Great War was originally The Resource Wars. I wonder what would cause resource wars... An ocean drying up or being filled in maybe?
To my knowledge the recourse war was for oil
Wasn't the Resource War a dispute for the last resources on Earth ?
Maybe that sea has tons of Oil.
@@ej_22It was for everything. Oil, uranium, gold, clean water. Anything that was consumable.
The Resource Wars was the conflicts in the led up to the Great War. The Great War was the 2 hours on October 23rd 2077 where the world was nuked to armageddon. They’re not the same
Fallout 1 starts by saying that the European Commonwealth dissolved as it fought over the last remaining resources on earth which followed war with Africa which started the resource wars. Technically it was supposed to be over oil primarily but its not farfetched to see that extending to other things as well. So this sounds pretty canon.

Todd Howard simply remastered Europe with the same 16 times the detail as every other thing he does
Tod Howard is not the creator of the Fallout Franchise. He is the CEO of Bethesda. Tim Cain created the Fallout Franchise.
All that knowledge but not enough to get tim caine's name right, todd isnt the creator of fallout
Patrolling the Mediterranean wasteland almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter

Bold of you to assume that the Dutch would ever lose land to the ocean.
This theory is grasping at air
The reality is Todd doesn't want to hire different voice actors to play characters in a foreign fallout game
Actually there was an Idea to put dams on the rivers that lead into the mediterranean sea which would have decreased the sea levels there

Not just the Mediterranean Sea, the Persian Gulf and the red sea are also missing.
And even the Caspian sea and the black sea are missing
We're going full Mussolini with this one
His pronunciation of Turkey hurt my very soul
Bro thought Syria was the Mediterranean
France is already bad enough, so bad every French person would thrive in the Fallout
Fun fact
Having almost no water in the Mediterranean was a thing almost 5 million years ago
This caused the spread of humans from africa to europe and asia
I love how with Bethesda you can never tell if it’s a Feature or a Feature.
Glad I didn't dry up a random sea.
For a video on geography having turkey missing is really funny
No way they just called Todd Howard the creator fallout
please do a full fallout theory video tom. It's been 8 years since the last one.
Im glad you got your chance to do a fallout! Without it being taken from you by the other channels!
Fallout could span across all different theory channels and none of us care
Bro didn't even completely forgot about persian gulf and Caspian sea.
Him forgetting about the Caspian, Red, and Black Sea also the Persian gulf was forgotten
Todd Howard is not the creator of Fallout. The creator is Tim Cain. Todd Howard is just the director of Bethesda, who owns the rights to Fallout, Bethesda also make the newer titles (Except New Vegas, that was Obsidian), but they were not the ones behind it's original creation. That was Tim Cain and Interplay
Bethesda: I didn't even think about it💀
I didn't even realize that this was game theory. Because it wasn't matpats voice.
One thing that you didn’t notice is that black sea is also missing in this map, so there would be even more damages.
Wonder now if they will ever make a DLC to what happened to the rest of the world
On this channel when a theorist’s finds one tiny mistake in a game they can manage to make a whole theory on it and come up with lots of evidence in the game, real life, or both to prove it.
And then they proceed to make a bunch of tiny mistakes. Quality has gone off the rails since Matt left.
As someone from Cambridge I am terrified
The fact I didn’t realize this was game theory until he showed his face 😭
Game Theory: talks about bad map design
Also game theory: makes the most horrendous map mistakes in the same video
By that logic, that means the Great Lakes don't exist.
You forget the fallout universe broke off from the real universe awhile ago, so it could be lore missing
Fallout London: "hold my beer"
The designer of this globe was an avid Atlantropa project fan... neat!
Jsyk, Todd Howard is not the creator of fallout, he just is a part of Bethesda, who bought the rights off of the original creator.
The Great Lakes are also filled, yet they're perfectly fine in the lore. You can even see Lake Michigan in the fallout tactics map.
Finally the actual Atlantic City
The idea that the whole Mediterranean was filled in is really dumb
Man the game theorists really went downhill after Matt Pat left they gave us a completely unhinged theory that completely contradicts existing evidence and then tells us technically what we said was true but it’s only in Europe where fallout doesn’t even take place and doesn’t plan to take place anytime soon
Not only this season between Europe and Africa but also Black Sea as well
This man is crazier than matpat
I noticed this in a mod which had a map of the world but I didn't know it was the official map that missed the Mediterranean
What kind of cursed turkey is that 💀
Pretty sure Amsterdam was fine if the sea level increases
There was a film theory with matpat before this now I'm crying
Why is because Todd and Bethesda no longer have a clue what they are doing with one setting let alone adding more
Maybe the medertraian sea dried up there
I didn't even notice this was a game theory short until I looked at the channel
This implies that someone making a map physically alters the earth
