Big Walter is one of the greats I studied and listened to when I first went down this rabbit hole. I probably have six of his CDs. About 25 years ago while jamming with some guys at Handy Park in Memphis I met his grandson. He told me stories of jam sessions at his grandfather’s house where Muddy, Howling Wolfe and many of the greats would be there. I really like his solo version of Sugar Mama!
Did you know Walter was a friend of Robert Johnson's in Memphis? They'd jam together when Robert was in town staying with Charles Dodd Spencer, his birth father's side of the family. Great stories in Annye Anderson's book, "Brother Robert".

La armónica, para mí,uno de los instrumentos más entrañables.Ni idea por qué,
entonces supongo sea por las innumerables películas de cowboy que ví en mi más tierna infancia y primera juventud.
Siempre que alguien se enfrentaba a otro alguien sonaban armónicas, moría alguien y sonaban armónicas,se armaba bailongo y también sonaban armónicas, alguien , algún vaquero estaba solo en cuarto de shalom ( o cómo sea se escriba, que ahí cedo la derecha) es decir en su habitación arriba pues abajo se ubicaba el bar, propiamente el salón, y tirado en la cama se ponía a tocar músicas tristisimas con la armónica.
Todo me llegaba,desgarraba el corazón.
