Hi Bud. Nice tour, seems very reasonable for the price. All the best in your new house Bud 🙂
I like the new house. Many blessings! It has a little more of a rural/province feel.
Thanks for sharing bud, I hope you and Gloria are very happy there 🙂
Thanks for sharing...best of luck for all of you in the new house and neighborhood 👍👍
Thanks Bud God bless you and your family
That was a good joke Bud! Thought the big house is yours to be called small!! Now you have a supply of mangoes right outside your door.😀😀😀😍😍
hope you and Gloria will be happy in your new home Bud
The black round thing you saw in the back is a trampoline. Weather in Jan normally is cool and when the Chinese New Year has passed it becomes terribly hot. Best of everything in your new place. Hope nothing would drip come the rainy season. Cheers to you and Gloria.
Hey Bud.. ‘love the reference to the ‘ol Beverly Hillbillies character! This new place is indeed rougher but the extra land for Gloria to use is good.. you can always add the options you miss like the water heater I suppose.. can’t do much on the extra square footage but you can maybe refinish any of the areas you would like to be nicer perhaps? Whats wrong with the Molly Mobile? Could it be needing new batteries? Oh well.. more new adventures in this new place so CONGRATS!!! Happy New Year!!
Congrats on your new place, looks like you got your work cut out for you, look forward to your new venture.
Good luck in the new house yes good chat the other day.
Hi Mr. Bud congratulation in your new home . Home sweet Home. It doesn’t matter. The size as long as you are in joying life. God Bless you and Gloria. From Riverside CA
Exactly....I would rather have a small house with a big backyard.... love gardening.. especially vegetables....
wow its cheap and more space for planting very practical for you both plus a coconut tree
Enjoy your new surroundings! Hope all goes well.
Hi Bud, congratulations!🎉
I have not seen you in a while! But that is my fault! Congrats on the new house! Seems pretty nice!
Congratulations to your new house!
Hope you and Gloria enjoyed living here and saved money.😃
I like the house Mr Brown, I'm sure your both have it in ship shape condition real soon ,although there is really no rush just take it nice and easy :)
Thanks for the tour Mr. Brown. You have Pink Floyd's room! I can't believe how inexpensive that place is! Congrats! So happy for you and the Mrs.!
Do you get to keep the mango fruits? Nice shade from that tree. I love mangoes!
Sir Bud, you so smart when you introduced your neighbour's house. Hahahaha nice!!
Looks pretty nice.. I like it. Great video.bud.
Hello Mr. Brown. Yes, it's smaller house but it's just you and ate Gloria. She got a bigger space too at the back of the house for a small garden. God bless you.
Nice place Home is what you make it.and Gloria loves plants it will have more plant..Downsizing is good.I've become a minimalist and only use what i need. You will be happy its got great potential.
great video Bud..
I watched this video again... I am loving the house more than ever... it’s a builders dream...
I have so many ideas for the house...it has the natural provincial like styling... very compact and comfortable.. and the space around the house is a gardener’s paradise... Manang Gloria will satisfy her “green thumb”..I am so glad that you still have the awesome classic Molly mobile..what do you need to have it done if I may ask?...Is it the battery?..how much is the approximate cost to have it fixed... Is it the electrical system?..I wish its fixed and keep it going.. the way you built its cage is awesome.. a head turner...I am looking forward to have it running again..
I'm your new sub, hello from Houston, Texas
My place in Santa Rosa , Laguna also runs me to P10000. Had the same as you in the CR but spent 6000 to get a heater and had a guy put it in real cheap and over 4 years later still going good.
Wow, they're as bad as here on wanting alot up front. Prices here skyrocket due to the new stadium in Vegas. Thanks Bud. Oh and that was one of my favorite TV shows.
ya Mine as well :-) Loved the Beverly Hillbillies :-) and Ma & Pa kettle hahaha now I'm dating myself lol's
Bud,
Good luck with you new house. It does seem a lot smaller just looking around. I know it probably is not a big requirement for you, but you could have a heater installed fairly easy for you to enjoy a warm shower. Maybe talk to the landlord and have that cost reduced off your monthly bill even.
Hey Bud, now you have enough space outside that you can make a jogging track around the house to help keep you in shape!
@@BudBrownsOriginalChannel No rush, right?
It also has been colder here in Lucena City Quezon this year! Our electric have hit record low :)
Very nice Bud. My wife would be like yours in wanting more outside space for flowers and plants. I've heard paint is expensive in Philippines, but maybe you could paint the pink and blue walls if you wanted. Smaller, just means not as much to clean and take care of. Yes, my wife yells talking on the phone too. I've told her before she doesn't need a phone because they can hear her without it. haha. In this video were you using your GoPro Hero4? the video was REALLY good quality. I'm watching it on my 4k monitor and it was very crisp and clear, especially when you sat outside. The audio was good too. As always, thanks for sharing your life with us.
yes. a fresh coat of paint would be nice for the walls. :D this house is a wonderful 'project' for me! XD
@@BudBrownsOriginalChannel ...the sound is awesome..no gaps....
@@BudBrownsOriginalChannel can you make a video about the Molly Mobile ???
It may be a little smaller inside Bud but it’s good to space outside for plants 🌱 parking among other things. It will all come together in time. Add it to the Philippine Adventure “Yea Baby”
The new house has lots of potential.. love the coconut tree and the mango tree...and the natural look of the backyard.. nice to place a raised bed for a vegetable garden... cannot wait to see how Manang Gloria turns the surroundings into a garden paradise... ... very cheap rent... it is worth it...
thanks for sharing..... bud brown.
Hey Bud, mosquito farms are awsome
Thanks Bud. You really can get more life/bang for the buck, in the Philippines.
Awesome... just love your intro... so funny, you made my day again...I love the new house lots of potential ... I love the surroundings, very natural look.. you have the right idea, as we grow older, we have to streamline the way we live... building a house at such age in my opinion is not a good option.. better to rent than owning one... just pack and go ( my kind of life), the rent is so cheap....
Now Manang Gloria has a space to satisfy her horticulture skills... gardeners paradise... your Mango tree is as big as mine in the desert, it gives us shade in the summer and makes the surroundings cooler..... I can’t wait for you to make a “ mango coconut shake “ straight from the garden.
“ stinky food”?..tuyo and squid .. kini makatilaw og maayo...that would be awesome, fish pond... koi will eat mosquito eggs...
All I can say is, I love the new place.. it is going to be fun fixing it to your liking... just a little work putting things in the right places..
hi..nice cozy place you got there... if I may suggest with the koi pond you may fill it with garden soil then your spouse may do her landscaping.. just saying ..have a good fantastic day
Nice intro, love it.
Good video and very nice house. The yard is big enough to have a small garden. Considering the crazy cost of food, a garden is VERY practical in the Philippines. The only thing I miss over here, is a garage to work in. I guess I traded my woodworking tools for a computer. ha ha ha
looks good to me Bud nice place only little fixing up is it near where you were before to ?
Decent place, Bud. My wife and I have a similar place in Pampanga that we bought a long time ago. We have had to do several repairs on it over the years, the roof needed repair several years ago. We only stay there when we visit.
Bud, nice home for the price. For me, a single Filipino American born in Dumaguete, it is perfect. Hope to find a similar accommodation when I retire in 10 months.
its a good house for two of you less maintenance in cleaning and expenes it looks quite comfortable to live in most likely at your age and its quite cheap rental go for it...
We had a house in Cavite for $200 a month...great place...but not much of a breeze coming through house. We stayed there 2yrs came back to USA. I miss hot pandasal in mornings.
Nice place bud ☺
Yup, like the mosquito farm. You can sell ‘em, if you can catch ‘em first ^|^
Hope to get a personal tour in March.
Good luck in the new place Bud.
I was wondering...what percentage of the houses there have "working" smoke alarms ? If the new house doesn't , please do it.
Bud Brown .. nice to have them around....even though house is cemented they are parts of the house that can be burned... smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm are good ones to have.... you are giving me a new idea......how about fire extinguishers inside the house, one in the kitchen and one outside good to have them just in case... just a thought!!!!!
Mosquito farm......lmao...😂 that was funny
Fill the fish pond with good top soil and plant flowers?
?
Hey Bud I have noticed a lot of black mold on the buildings there my concerns is do you know if it is toxic or not? I’m planning a trip there. Thanks
Nice place for the price Bud
The mosquito farm! Lol
Godbless nice 👍
You should ask the landlord if you can fill in the fish pond with dirt and make a vegetable garden.
@@BudBrownsOriginalChannel bust out the bottom before filling with dirt (drainage).
Where do you put your clothes? In the office? Wood back door and not metal, seems like someone could walk through pretty easy. Do you know the neighbors?
wutta funny intro.. yo da man!
Budd thanks for the video. I'm starting to think about moving to the Philippines with my Filipina wife.
She's been here a few years and we're thinking about what we're going to do.
We already have two small children and I agree with you that building at our age is kind of a hassle.
I'm a bit younger than you but I got two small kids which probably make me older than you. Lol. Thank care.
She's from Davao and we're going to try to move to that area if possible.
Do many houses like yours come on the market frequently .
Would be perfect for me
Nice place and cheap. We pay in Lipa City $140 two floor/2 bedroom house.
yes, that's like what we paid In Cebulan $125 a month same two floors two rooms upstairs and a small balcony of the main bedroom.
Dawson Creek In The Philippines ...that is very inexpensive....that is awesome... I came from Ilocos Norte, I would love to experience the small island life when time comes...
That's funny about granny on Beverly Hillbillies!
Suggestion for the fish pond, fill it with water and let your puppies use it as a swimming pool... 😂😂😂👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
I prefer bungalow coz if you're not young, you should avoid stairs in the house.
Miguel Lopez.. absolutely.. our previous house in Chicago, we had bedrooms upstairs( climbed up the stairs), when we moved to the desert of California few years back.. we intentionally bought a place with no stairs.. imagine that now if we bought a place with stairs... not good...
My thoughts exactly. Everybody (mostly filipinos) always ask us why we didn't build a two story house. One level is good for my old age to come!
Living in the Pacific .. building their house for show... Filipino mentality,.. outdoing everybody.. very sad but true.( with my years of living in the States, more than half of my life), I have changed my attitude.. practicality and comfort is my priority, and not to out do other Filipinos even though they cannot afford it..
@@MrCarmelo1204 Ya know, I was just thinking that same thing after reading another post about Filipinos that drive huge SUV's. My thoughts (and I've been around filipinos most of my life it seems) is that you're right - Filipino mentality makes it all about status, and they will go above and beyond to create their own status rather than earn it. And with all that inflated status comes the inflated ego and the added respect they think they deserve. My wife of 34 years backs me up on this one! It is precisely why I have more respect for the hard working poor than I do for some of those uppity middle-class who cheated their way through life.
Nice house Bud much cheaper than in de Netherlands I also think about to live in the Philippines when get my pension
Gas we use about 19 $ every month lots of cooking
Good video Bud, it never ceases to amaze me how cheap the cost of living is in the Philippines, especially if you embrace their way of living and not live like a westerner. As for the shower lacking hot water, I spent a month in Quezon City last August with my fiancée and her family and learnt to love having a cold shower. It really wakes you up😂😂😂
Living the life of a filipino is fun and enjoyable..you do not need much to enjoy our paradise....i still miss going to the river and take a bath...usually the early morning water of the river is very soothing...
Bud Brown ..just boil a pot of water and dump it in the water container, and waalaa!!!! Hot shower better than hot water heater..saves electricity... or better yet, fill the water container with water and exposed it to the hot sun for a few hours, then take a shower in the afternoon... natural water heater... 😂😂😂😂
@ 2:33 thats a trampoline ...for jumping exercise , maybe not anymore applicable for seniors, anyway its broken ... hahaha
0:33 dont worry the gate is exactly the same color haha
Expenses kind of high if you add it all up ?
Oh! I hate mosquitos🤗
Hello Bud,
Nice place. Are you far outside of town, or is it a quick drive down to Robinsons super market?
Bud Brown.. love it.. close to the places where you can have morning coffee... I cannot wait to see your new route...your route on the old place was nice.. well kept neighborhood...
Hey bud. I'm glad you're feeling better how much does it cost to live in the Philippines what's your budget like?
The same post, for a second time
Congratulations Bud! More space to accommodate Gloria's collection of plant, and to stay away from deceivers!
New year, new place, new beginning!
The selling point was the unlimited supply of malauhog buko and extra space for all three dogs, no more fight Molly(Good Dog)! your porch, dirty kitchen, plus a lot cheaper. Best of luck/Ned
Hello again Bud
Just avoid it if you're traveling a long distance, regards, and good luck!
❤️❤️❤️
“This is where she can cook her stinky food!” LOL
Hi Bud, enjoyed your video and humor as always. Is Betsy ( hopefully I got her name correct) going to rent your old house ? Is she still in Philippines ?
Hi Bud, What was your Total Monthly Expenses, Everything Included and are you still in Dumaguete
$200 is a great price. But even here in Mindinao I see most houses and condos for $300 or more
do you think its a good idea to bother building your own house, in case of typhoons etc if it gets totally wrecked anyway?
i mean what are the chances of that happening do you think?
Just plant chayote and taro inbetween the water drainage and fence, it's almost Zero to maintain provides both shade and food.
nice diggs, I like it. worth 10,000 pesos.
Does anyone know how is Bud Brown doing nowadays? He has not posted any videos for the past 2 years. Hope Mr. and Mrs. Brown are doing okay.
its a decent size for both of u bigger outside than the other
You told us in a previous video that the older American woman who came to Dumaguete a few months ago was looking for a house. Your previous house would have been great. Why didn't she take it?
@@BudBrownsOriginalChannel Then, she could not afford the Philippines as your rent was low.
how much was the house you left?
I dont see your Guitar.......i hope you did not get rid of it....your front porch is an awesome place to play and wind down...strumming a few chords.....and belt out a song or two...
mas maganda po ito kaysa dati.
is there more houses like this for 10k?
Nice house
How much can you get for those skeeters?
Can purple Martin's survive there?
and those 200 usd is rent every month right
In one of your videos I seen to remember you talking about doing a long term lease on some property and then building a bahay kubo....is this still in the works.....ok after I wrote this you answered my question....hehe
FYI he talks about this in this video.
Robb Bell , yes I heard it right after I had written my message
Maganda Ang house kailangan ng kunting ayos ng mga gamit .
Nice house. Du veit vell at fisk er lykke!
I thought that's your house Bud.... ha ha ... that's your back door...
Sir, just wondering. Why not just build your own house so you don’t have to keep paying rent? Do you intend to go back to the US?
I’m glad you’re adjusting fairly well to the life there. I’d move back there too if it wasn’t for my health.
Mahal sa 10k per month para sa place. Sa manila 10 k pero nasa gated subd.
How much the Rent..?..
Nice place for the price :-) that's about what I expect to pay later. but I'm by myself so maybe even a smaller cheaper place to start for me. we had a two bedroom duplex in cebulan for 5 thousand Paso a month and it was quite nice. and that is what I'm going to look for when I Get back :-) but I'm thinking of looking in Siqijor if I can find a place there for the first Month. really want a very quiet Please so I can just chill for the first month.
Nice video! Enjoy your new home.
I received your reply in my in bos . I answerd but I don't know if u received it.I saw it in my
junk box. Tha means u didn get it? I resent it.
I don't know how to send pictures in my computer . I know. how to send it in my cell. I took pictures of your old house . Right now, your former place is surrounded with beautiful spring yellow flowers . I'll try to get it to u somehow. Hugs to Gloria and your team.
