What a beautiful and full of technical knowledge in this short cutscene. First fight scene is their first encounter and from Tony's swings, it clearly is muay thai, while Donny was fighting more of a MMA style and started in a defensive stance, until he caught Tony's first opening after 2 heavy sick kicks to the ribs that was blocked by Donny, however Donny could not complete the arm bar with one foot on the side of his ribs, and Tony broke away with ease. This is the first time the movies is showing us Tony is much stronger than Donny. The next time it happened was when Tony used brute force to lift Donny off a balcony while in a headlock. The second fight is where things get interesting, in my view, both of them thinks they are better than each other in standing techniques. But, remember Tony is much stronger and Muay Thai's strikes are mostly full motion, and roundhouse kick or sick kick where Tony missed, u can see his entire hips follows thru too, although Donny was able to land some strikes but the counter strikes by Tony almost knocked him unconscious. Knowing he can't afford to lose, Donny stands up and the 3rd scene is where the directing is make this one of the best martial art scenes. Donny knows if he can't outbox Tony, and he also thinks Tony might not know any throw or ground techniques. Knowing the weak point of Muay Thai full swung strikes and kicks, exposing and opening of the torse gave Donny a good entry point, after a few throws, Tony can be seen being thrown around like a doll, completely helpless. Donny does the little bounce around waiting for him to get up as now Donny is 100% sure this guy doesn't know any throw or ground techniques. After that you can see Donny trying all the moves he practiced back in Dojo and says good night to Tony with a rear triangle choke.
