    I love how you intensified the fog on the lake. I would have isolated the boat and the people and left them darker to further isolate them as subjects.

      Thanks so much! And it’s funny that you mentioned masking out the boaters. I initially did that, but the results looked quite bad because you’d have this soft, bright fog and then the boaters would pop out in an unnatural way, breaking the effect.

    I love this tip for getting a nice bit of glow on the sunrise/sunset side of the photo. It's amazing what a difference a very subtle tweak can do.

    Really nice tips here Brian. I like how you showed moving the radial filter outside the border of the minimized photo helped visualize the final effect.

    Why not use a linear gradient in the corner? Is there a visual difference?

      Fair question. I suppose you could use a linear gradient, but I prefer the rounded edge to this mask.
