- I absolutely ADORE this beautiful, traditional Scottish song and I thought the reverb in the stairwell could add an extra haunting resonance to it. I do NOT own the rights to this music.
It's getting CHILLY in the stairwell, which means it's almost time for Christmas music! Stay tuned for what's coming ❅

you can sing out grocery lists and it'd be absolute magic.
This is gonna be Malinda all over again
Petition for her to sing a grocery list
@@Suhnik yes
There's this singer who's also on CZcams called Malinda and she's done parodies where she just sings random things and it's hilariously delightful.
I am signing the petition
She could be swearing at us while singing and I’d still give her a standing ovation afterwards
We all would
@Tiber Septim thanks, right back at you
Yes 400th like hell yea
Petition to dub Lauren as “The Stairwell Siren”

All I can see is Edward Kenway looking back at the table of his dead friends....and seeing his daughter at the end.
Dude, that was such a good game 😭
@@BHwithMinecraft I know right. They don’t make Assassins Creed like that anymore.
@@abrahamhimself so true
I’m not crying, it’s just allergies
Sarah Greene's had such a comforting voice in that game
Assassin's Creed Black Flag 🥰
Please, do Enya's "May it be" or any of the elves' songs from The Lord Of The Rings!!! ❤️❤️❤️
PLEASE!!! YES!!!
Then my life will be complete.
Look up Adele McAllister, Colin Rudd, and Yolanda Mott. They all put Tolkien's words to music of their own composition. (Tolkien's actual words, not the stuff from the films.)
TRiG (Ireland) oooh, I will, thank you!
@@EllenDaybow Also Clamavi de Profundis. Definitely check them out.
This is how I thought I sounded in middle school choir, I was suuuuuper wrong lol
This is how I think I sound in the shower. Also super wrong.
same bro
When you sing, i feel like the problems of the world disappear
Lyrics
Of all the money that e'er I had
I spent it in good company
And all the harm I've ever done
Alas, it was to none but me
And all I've done for want of wit
To memory now I can't recall
So fill to me the parting glass
Good night and joy be to you all
So fill to me the parting glass
And drink a health whate'er befalls
Then gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be to you all
Of all the comrades that e'er I had
They're sorry for my going away
And all the sweethearts that e'er I had
They'd wish me one more day to stay
But since it fell into my lot
That I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be to you all
Fill to me the parting glass
And drink a health whate'er befalls
Then gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be to you all
La ra la ra la la
La lala lala la la
La ra lala la la
La la la lala la la
But since it fell into my lot
That I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be to you all
So fill to me the parting glass
And drink a health whate'er befalls
Then gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be to you all
Good night and joy be to you all
Thank you for the lyrics.
Thank you!
“Burn,” from Hamilton would complement your angelic voice stupendously. Perhaps “Danny Boy,” as well.
I wish i had a stairwell near me where I could witness this magic in person.
Requesting:
1) Fievel Goes West - "Dreams To Dream"
2) Land Before Time - "If We Hold On Together"
3) American Tale - "Somewhere Out There"
I love those songs.
Dreams to Dream!!!
somewhere out there is so dear to me im literally gonna

Number 2 , absolutely yes
Oh, my, yes!!! All of these! I love Dreams to Dream! I always cry!
This is one of those songs that I've never heard a bad rendition of, but this may well be my favorite ❤️
Percenally I prefer FaceVocalBands but, I prefer songs sung deeper so it makes sense.
In a world without gold, we might’ve been heroes.

Just gotta say I'm literally speechless lol
Your voice is like an angel
I remember this song was sung by Emily Kinney and Lauren Cohan in The Walking Dead. And your voice is so pretty!!! 🤩🤩🤩You'll be a famous singer someday, i know it. Thats why i subscribed to your channel and followed your tiktok acc 💜💜
💗yes
I’m so glad someone else thought about this as well. Almost want to rewatch that episode specifically for that scene. Immediately remembered Beth and started tearing up a bit.
@@ashethevoid me too, that episode got me crying especially Maggie's reaction- i guess were the only twd fans left now... :((
@@gloomyxpotqto I stopped watching after Negan showed up. For various reasons. Just felt like I was waiting around for them to kill my favorite characters. Too stressful.
@@ashethevoid oop- they did killed off characters that are not meant to die, i was also stressed and mad about it. But i stayed loyal and kept watching the show lmao.
Looks like an angel, sings like an angel. Must be an angel 😇.
Lauren Paley, my most sincere and heartfelt thank you for sharing your gift with all of us. In this dreadful and painful nightmare of a year, your voice seems as a divine revelation and inspiration, the proverbial light in the darkness, a palpable reminder of all the stunningly beautiful things that still exist in this world if we listen and look for them! You radiate a humbleness that belies your great talent, and you seem to have a soul as lovely as your artistry. I hope you will consider adding "Gabriel's Message" by Sting and "Christmas Day" by Dido to your stairwell series if you cover any holiday songs this season. Grazie Mille!
Coming home from Iraq l heard this song, it reached past whatever is past your soul , hearing you sing it , all the sights and smells of my first day home have come back as fresh as they were then, thank you.
I can’t explain how much I love this. My grandad used to sing this to me every night. He passed away in January and I haven’t heard it since.
This song is so beautiful and always fills my heart with so many bittersweet emotions... I had intended to sing it at my grandfather's memorial years ago but when the day came I just couldn't bring myself to. Ever since then, hearing it always makes me sad remembering but also fills me with so much love from thinking about him. Thank you for such a wonderful rendition!
it's been almost three years and I still love that I found you back when the pandemic was on a high.
I am in tears thank you I am Celtic and I feel like our culture is slowly dying. So to get recognition from a talent like you thank you! Much Love
If you were really Celtic you would know OUR culture will never die 🇮🇪☘️
This was one of my grandma’s favorite songs, we had someone sing it at her funeral... so this song is bittersweet for me, it reminds me of her, and her funeral... from the bottom of my heart, thank you for bringing back those memories of my grandmother :’)
You are definitely a blessed child of goddess saraswati (the hindu goddess of music, art and wisdom)❤ .... Such a pure soul 💗
Lots of love, happiness and hugs 🤗💚
You should try singing the Shadow of the Colossus opening theme. A lot of it is instrumentals, but there’s a constant choir in the background and it sounds really nice
Yes! Shadow of the Colossus! ❤️
Patiently waiting for Metal Gear Solid's "The Best is Yet to Come" (in the original Irish Gaelic for a challenge)
If this doesn't bring a tear, what would?
In a stairwell?? This Amerikay bound Scot-Irish man is blown away...
Because she is brilliant using the acoustics. Sound is perfect rebound back
W......O......W....... simply chilling. I would love to hear The Irish Rover
This is one of my favorite songs!
Same. You should listen to Hozier’s and Ed Sheeran versions of it
This is so beautiful I’m in love, would you consider singing ‘the voice’ by Celtic woman
This song always always make me cry, this song brings me so many memories of dead loved ones from my family and friends of mine passed away too early in a young age some time ago.
I miss them sooo much 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 i still carry the grief in my heart 😭😭
Oh my friends forgive me that i live and you are gone 😭😭😭 i miss you every day 😭 🧡🧡🧡🧡 i look over tables in pubs imagine you guys sitting there waiting for me to sit down and join you 🧡😭🧡😭🧡

Thank you lauren paley for covering one of my favourite emotional songs of all time and thank you for letting my heart heal through this song 🧡❤
I play this on flute!!! It is part of the song Celtic Air and Dance. The Parting Glass and A Fairy's Love Song are both in Celtic Air and Dance....
I was raised listening to this song! Thank you so much for bringing light to it! ♥️
Oh man... I wish I could sound like that. I need that stairwell.

From the first note, new words would have to be made for the magic of this
As a Scotsman I approve this amazing singing
I am a very depressed and lonely widower. Your singing takes some of the pain away.Thank you.

I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS SONG.
Edit: You sang this so beautifully, I'm not going to be able to forget this, it will grace my ears in many dreams to come.
I bet The Skye Boat song would sound really lovely in a stairwell 😍
The Skye boat song theme from outlander would sound great in the stairwell
Idk if you've played any of these games such as Assassin's Creed 4 or if you saw the video of the song being played in game, but it invokes a lamenting feeling of nostalgia, of moments forever attached to this song.
I absolutely enjoy these stairway medleys!!!!
This song makes me cry so hard 😭
Assassin's Creed Black Flag. So many good memories...💖
Many, many tears. Absolutely incredible.
If I walked into a stairwell and heard this I’d burst into tears… as if I don’t burst into tears listening to it through the speaker on my phone.
Beautiful, thank you Lauren.
Your version is my all time favorite. Tear up every. Single. Time.
I love this version of this song! I also really love the Celtic Women version too. They are amazing. Love you Lauren!
So beautiful, I’d love to hear more traditional Scottish and Irish songs from you!
I actually listen to this song by many artists because traditional Irish and Scottish music rocks. this isn't my favorite but its still great!
and yes this means I had the lyrics memorized before coming here. so maybe I sang along maybe I didn't

I first heard this song from a show called brothers and sisters it was sung by a character named scotty I believe and I've loved it ever since and you make me like this song a 100% more
I feel like I can sense you feeling every word of this song. I think most people focus on the sound and flow, but this felt like a story and emotion radiating from every word. It’s such a pretty and melancholy song.
