Jesus piece, Vein, and harms way have all made me dig hardcore ten times more than I have in previous years.
I hear ya man. A LOT of "core" band's as of late came out of the nu-metal scene. Ive been spinning my Bloodlet, Integrity, and Turmoil records waiting for this to drop. You can't fake this intensity!

Nails Xibalba and Jesus Piece would be an amazing show, Vein is cool but they don’t really fit into the same kinda sound as the others. Vein has more industrial and mathcore elements compared to the others.

I was never really into anything "hardcore". But I've been hearing about Jesus Piece for a while now, and felt the urge to check them out. I am beyond glad to have stumbled upon them, because this album absolutely destroyed my expectations. I cannot wait to see JP blow up.
You should really see them live if you have the chance. I've seen them twice and both shows where mindblowing. The amount of energy these guys have is insane
This is more like slam than traditional hardcore. Taking the good elements of both. With a preference for DM, I say that more double bass could always help. Compared to something like Hatebreed, this kicks fucking ass.

Loving this doom heavy hardcore that's showing up so much more in the past few years. SeeYouSpaceCowboy and Jesus Piece and Harms Way are all adding so much energy to a scene that's needed some revitalization.

@@corpse5006 modern metalcore and modern hardcore are actually different, modern hardcore is basically just noisy downtuned thrash and groove metal and modern metalcore is like pop vocals over cool string skipping riffs with pitchshifters and stuff lol

HellbentDescent i saw them with vein before this album from errorzone had dropped. It was fucking insane. I remember thinking then that vein was gonna get big as fuck. Didn’t realize they’d be playing with festivals with tool and deftones and shit.
I saw Varials in Worchester on the private room tour and the first cymbal crash literally opened up the gnarliest pit I've ever seen

Heard them on Sattelite radio. Their sound is so heavy, especially when they're not playing too fast. They need someone that can write really good songs though. If they wouldn't go to fast on the drums and could write some better songs they would be much bigger. Many bands like this make their songs too complicated. Nothing wrong with a simple beat/crunch and some smoothness. They can still be violent and intense.

@@bigboygames6817 This is a good band and they would be more successful if some of their songs were a bit simpler and basic as long as it's still heavy and raw. No need to overcomplicate songs. Listen to some great songs from bands like Eyehategod, Pantera or Slipknot or even the Rolling Stones or Beatles. Some of their most successful songs are the simplest ones. It works.
