- In this video, Sinead takes you on a tour through some of London's most haunted locations for a look at the city's spookiest stories and most horrifying truthful history. Learn about bodysnatchers, plague pits, a stolen foot, and painful primitive medicine. Hear stories of haunted tube stations, the first trial held based on the testimony of a ghost, and the ringing of the executioner's bell as you travel through time with Sinead and her friends Matt and Rob.

Thank you both so much for doing these tours. I am disabled and have no chance of seeing these places for myself so this is brilliant. Very professionally done too.
Glad that you enjoyed the video, Jill. If you haven't done so already, you can hopefully check out our back catalogue of virtual London tours czcams.com/users/FreeToursbyFootLondonvideos. There is more where this came from.
Jill, in many ways I'm stuck in the house like you! I know exactly what you mean about the Tour as well! It's a si.ply Wonderful.Tour, the way they've set it up. Up North, the Lovely Narrator is over there by William Wallace and then the Handsome Fella, who is on the other side with his two cents to add! I LOVE this!! Could you just imagine the Keno Twins from.Antiques Road Show, popping onto their show one day?
Good Luck to you Jill, by the way! Always be very careful to digest carefully thought out organic and smart foods!

I agree and have seen Shivaun (sorry can’t spell her name correctly ☹️) doing Highgate cemetery’s amongst others l..don’t know how she remembers so much interesting facts of all these places, or comfy footwear! ( never heard about St Bartholomew’s working hospital almost 1,000yrs old! Had you ? 😊She is really good at this job and a joy to listen to. Hadn’t Met her friend before, but he has a lot of interesting information too! Like you, I’m disabled, so love “living and traveling “ via these fascinating channels! Do take care and keep warm Jill. Wishing you a peaceful and really Happy Christmas, and a lovely 2023! 🙋♀️😘💕🎄🥰🎅😻
I live in the states and I can't believe how much of London's history is still preserved. It's sooo nice to see. I find it hard to believe how many alleyways, corridors and side streets there are. Right among the modern buildings are bits of major historical things that a lot of people probably don't even know are there. I also love the face that London has the little blue signs to tell you what a particular place is. I have to admit I find it a bit creepy how narrow and hidden these places are. It is no wonder how Jack the Ripper got away with the murders. I am not able to afford to travel overseas and this has been such a pleasure for me to see these things. Thank you so much Sinead and friends.

I love this. I'm very interested in the tours of royal palaces and other sites in London, but especially interested in the ghosts! However, every video I click on that is supposed to be about the ghosts is full of scary music and annoying camera work like a cable tv show. I can't watch. This one was great - just straightforward information and showing us around! Thanks!
So glad you liked this one, Janet! More ghostly content to come this month :)
The best compliment we could possibly receive
Thank you sincerely
Sinead
The music on a certain podcast I’ve been listening to is so depressing and heavy I can barely get through the content.. don’t get me started on the pseudo-scary voice used either lol 🤦♀️

You can't get any better than a haunted London tour. With so much gruesome history over the centuries, there are bound to be plenty of ghoulish tales and angry ghosts to visit. Sinead is the perfect hostess for such a wonderful tour. Thank you!

talking about clothing corsets are great if you are young and dont sqish your body into stupid shapes it was not designed for/but i wear bloomers because they let your areas breathe. a lot of under wear is synthetic and women get conditions that are annoying because your skin can't get air to it and is too constricted / try bloomers they are great for women in winter especially /great vid thanks x
Again, another outstanding video with lots of information. Thank you Sinead, Matt & Rob.

Sinead, after watching your videos all this time I'm amazed on how many "Nooks & Crannies" there are in and around London. This vid has somewhat the same feel as your (Fantastic) Jack the Ripper tour. You and your team make for a great haunted watch, thanks for all the walking you do for us.

Numerous structures in UK 500+ years and still in use is amazing. Beats the hell out of the prefab monsters that are being slammed together in this 'enlightened' modern era which are often demolished in less than 100 years as 'buildings outliving their usefulness'.

Worked at Barts and loved it. The lift ghost is true, for a code everyone would use the stairs. A woman who lost her baby and drowned herself in the fountain. One of the nurses I worked with saw her. There was a little boy in the children's ward who is seen running and playing. His different clothes makes him stick out. The central square was supposed to be a plague pit and supposedly you can hear screams and cries in the underground tunnels. Also you were supposedly you can smell smoke and hear screams and when maintenance was done underground ashes were found at the right level for when burning at the stakes were done. Glad to see it being modernized as it deserves. Best hospital.
Which part of the hospital is the lift in question? I have been to the hospital a lot recently, and have got to go again this Friday, and it would be interesting to have a look if it is a public part of the hospital.
It was in the the Queen Elizabeth building. Sometimes people report children playing in the lift but it's her. She was a student nurse who got told not to follow a neuro patient into the lift and did and he murdered her or that was what got told. I did hear from a few people that the lift followed them up the floors and the door would open !

talking about cloth, a sad fact is young Victorian mothers cut pieces of their clothing and stitched it onto their babies clothing to recognize their babies a bit like a pawn ticket because they had so little money if they had to put them in certain institutions /horrible times for the poor of london/thanks for vid x
This is great extra info, Rachel. Thanks for sharing.
BRILLIANT!
This is the only part of London I know reasonably well (i live in North Essex) and rarely have travelled to london unless ive gone to a music or sporting event. My father got cancer last Christmas, and this is the hospital I a have taken him dozens of times since then, because of the hospitals expertise in ground breaking stem cell replacement treatment that he needed. The level of care he has received has been second to none, and thankfully he is now in remission. People do moan about the NHS, but the the care my dad has received has been nothing but perfect and hastily treated. I know all these little side streets and the memorials and history of the area, spending hours wandering around waiting for my dad to have different treatments. Everything from radiotherapy, chemotherapy and then finally the harvest and replacement of his stem cells. I love this part of London, its very interesting.
It's so very different from here, in Canada. You are fortunate to have such top-notch care for your dad. I pray he recovers fully and you never have to return, unless you want to.
I think it helps recovery to be in beautiful places. I hope you both have many long years together. 🙂
Thanks for sharing your story!
@@lorimiller4301 Thanx for your concern. My dad is doing as well as could be at the moment, and all the recent results have been positive so far. The cancer he has (myeloma) is currently not permanently curable, but it can be treated long term, and recent treatment and research has improved astronomically in recent years according to the doctors treating him. They said 10 or 15 years ago, the cancer he had would have been far harder to treat and put in to remission, and hopefully my father will pass away with old age before it returns. The treatment he has had has been brilliant. I will definitely be giving money to cancer research in the future, as a go to charity of choice.
@@gutz323 That all sounds very positive and is lovely to read. Good wishes to you and your father.
