Hands down one of the best shows I have ever seen! You’ll be glued literally the entire time, and the character development on the characters was so good I teared up here and there throughout every episode.

1) The invisible guest
2) The platform
3) The occupant
4) The paramedic
Another 2 great series of another kind of nature, they are not brilliant but they are very deep emotionally and polished, exceptionally made, only one season of mini-series each just like “The innocents”, both on netflix:
1) Watership down (animated)
2) Cathedral of the sea (which is also spanish)
One last recommendation - an animated french movie, was a candidate for Oscar. It is of the same nature as the 2 mini-series above:

Mario has evolved from a pretty boy to an absolutely wonderful and complex actor. I love Spanish films, which always have a special perspective and plot. The Innocent won't let you go, gripping and suspenseful and with attention to detail. Recommended and both thumbs up 👍👍👍
This series is a must watch. Would highly recommend. I Binged watched it. I didn't sleep. Thr following morning I didn't even pee or had breakfast until I watched the last episode.

This show is a masterpiece in writing, storytelling, producing, directing, and editing. You don't have to question the acting. They do an outstanding job. I believe many of them have worked with Oriol Paulo in the past. The way they introduce every major character with an origin story is just amazing. The cinematography was amazing as usual. I find that Spaniards are very good with cinematography. It is absolutely gripping. Things that I learned after watching this show: don't let your grief consume you and don't fight over bitches. The woman married the dude that started the altercation in the bar. I am not sure how they will do a season 2. It seems like they wrapped up everything. Maybe they will have new actors with and new plot.

They won't do a season 2 as the series finished the book. Harlan Coben, author of the book did sign a hugh deal with Netflix so each and every book of his will be turned into a limited series. This being said, I don't know if Oriol will direct/do any other book as Neflix stated that they want to adapt the books into diferent languages: like this one is in spanish, other might be in german (german director), dannish (dannish director) and so on.
@@tavirosu25 I did not know this but thank you. I like Danish TV, but German tv leaves much to be desired. I have not found one writer or director from Germany that consistently provides good tv content for the audience. They do have some good shows like Dark, but I am more into adult drama. Das Bank is another good German show.
@@chainreaction1703 "Dark" is a german masterpiece on Netflix and "The Rain" is a danish one, same on Netflix. Tho they are more sci-fi orientated.
Totally in love with that show! The script was mind-blowing, actors were all amazing, the cinematography was great! I am a huge fan of most of the Spanish shows and movies! ❤
I highly recommend "The Innocent" for everyone who loves suspensful thrillers, crime and ominous shows!

For anyone who is planning on watching this (and I can recommend it highly it's amazing) : watch it in Spanish and turn on subtitles it makes it much better and the amazing acting comes out better than when you watch the dubbed version
I have to agree. It would not make sense watching it in English. You would miss alot of context. One of the issue I find with Spanish tv shows it the tempo of speech while trying to follow the subtitles. However, it is moreso with Mexican, and Soutth American Spanish shows. They did a great job with tempo in this show, which makes it easy to follow the subtitle while absorbing story in Spanish. Watching it is English would be a disaster. I am an English speaker, btw.

Spain has been generating quite impressive content which has been available on Netflix. IMO this is their pinnacle achievement. Rarely have I seen a show with such good screenplay, character arcs and cinematography. Its a real treat to watch on good quality 4K tvs.
I just finished up this season and I sure it was a master piece ... The story line , the script the crime and mystery of the drama was marvellous love it
I would like this thriller to be more visible, to reach out all Netflix users. Much suspense to turn off TV. That song, shadow is stuck in my head now and that saying: "nadie nace siendo monja y menos alguien como tú". Best show ever seen.

Just finished watching this and I have to say how BRILLIANT it was. Really well acted and directed and something totally different.
I just spent the whole day watching this show and bloody hell was it good. Doesn't leave you asking any questions when its done because they answer everything and all the characters and stories meet up perfectly. That ending was so unexpected but a such a good ending. Watch it now if you haven't already

I recommend The Platform/El Hoyo on Netflix. Incredible horror/thriller film about a strangely designed prison built inside a skyscraper with a hole in the middle of each floor. It's a masterfully written metaphor for society and had me glued to the screen even though I hate horror/thriller movies
What the Spanish are doing now doesn't equate to what has been made in America for multiple decades but it's good
By far, this is the best Harlan Coben work from Netflix.

YES, it did seem to have a similar looking production or director as invisible guest. Maybe it's Mario, he has such a presence in his movies.

Yup, good show. Every episode gripping. I usually like movies because you get the whole story in 2 or so hours but they can only really be character based or action based because there really isn't enough time for both.
This series is like an 8 hour long action, suspense, thriller movie. You really get to know the characters and live their nightmares one starting from a drunken fight and the other from a terrible childhood.
Only a couple of plot holes and one loose end with a neighbor and a water bottle that is inconsequential so doesn't matter. Neither of these negatively affect the show in any way.
Highly recommend.

Also I wish the actors all the best. I hope they all land great roles and big projects because their talent deserve more attention! Every actor was GREAT and what a strong female cast! The ladies portrayed such strong women! I was also balling my eyes out for the last few minutes of the last episode.
