BMW 530e Sedan: Energy consumption in kWh/100 km (combined): 14.8-13.7. Fuel consumption in l/100 km (combined): 1.8-1.7. CO2 emissions in g/km (combined): 42-39.
BMW 540i xDrive Touring: Fuel consumption in l/100 km (combined): 7.1-7.0. CO2 emissions in g/km (combined): 164-159.
The values of fuel consumptions, CO2 emissions and energy consumptions shown were determined according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version applicable at the time of type approval. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers optional equipment and the different size of wheels and tires available on the selected model. The values of the vehicles are already based on the new WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to ensure the comparison between the vehicles. [With respect to these vehicles, for vehicle related taxes or other duties based (at least inter alia) on CO2-emissions the CO2 values may differ to the values stated here.] The CO2 efficiency specifications are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the European Regulation in its current version applicable. The values shown are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle for the classification. Great car and flawless presentation!I'm happy BMW did the excellent job of improving the car while keeping the lines I'm used with from my 2014 5 series. I like the new design lines of 3 and 4 series but the 5 is just superb with it's classic design.

Proud to be a BMW fanboy. One of my suggestion is to redesign the infotainment cluster to look more futuristic.

The high gloss black in the center console is a mistake. I have a Golf with gloss black dash and it's a nightmare to keep clean! The only advantage is that it looks sleek when cleaned which doesn't justify losing practicality.

Very nice, concise and informative video. The only part that did not live up to the quality of the video was the fake driving section with a green screen. And don't be afraid to stretch the video to 20 minutes to give it a better pace. It felt very rushed at parts, he was throwing out a lot of information in a limited time frame. The filming was a little bit ADHD but of high quality nonetheless! Gorgeous car BMW, good job.

I previously had an Audi A4 (2016) for 4 years and last year swapped over to the new G21 3-Series Touring. Although I loved the Audi, the BMW has far more personality and I'm now hooked as a BMW fan! Excellent cars. Hopefully when I am due to change next, the 5 Touring will be the next gen.

This 5 series is a must in video games and especially Gran Turismo 7. I'm also looking forward to another vision GT car from you BMW.
You know what I went into this thinking "BMW has screwed another model in their range" to "I got to have the M sport version 😍". What I like about this design is it is distinctly BMW yet very modern and luxurious and most of all driver-focused.
