This act, I managed to reach diamond in my first few games, but honestly, I was carried by good IGL'ing and trap plays. So I fell back to platinum. A bit of mech grinding to clean up the basics, and suddenly all the advice from these videos started having tangible results, ending in diamond 1 again. I'm hoping I can fit the consistent games into my schedule this act so I can get a vod review, because now I feel like my mechanics aren't blatantly holding me back. Thanks Hooj.
What did you do to get better at mechanic? Im hardstuck silver and i cant seem to ever get out

@@donkeykong1501 First thing I did was just practice deadzoning. The timing for it is weird, and I would consistently shoot too early. Go to the range, turn on the show shooting error, and just move left and right while shooting one bullet at bots to try and get a feel for when you can shoot.
Then I walked up, and pinged to see 4m of distance away from the bots. I practiced just running and gunning. It sounds stupid, but I consistently would misjudge the range to go for this. ( I know Hooj says 5m. I found this to be somewhat inconsistent. Do what you will)
Then I moved to DM. One of my dumbest problems was that I consistently just whiffed when I was holding in an off angle. So I sat in an off angle, and would spend the DM just listening and waiting. If someone came from an angle other than what I was holding, oh well, they killed me.
The last piece that I was missing was that I would wait too long to move after I fired a shot. Once I started Taking one or two bullets, then instantly strafing, I got laid out so much less often. I practiced this in the same way I did off angle holding, but now if I missed the headshot on the first bullet, I would move left or right instantly before I was allowed to fire again.
Last thing I really worked on was crosshair placement. Just making a conscious effort to round corners with as little movement in my crosshair as possible. I didn't have a huge issue with this, but it became apparent that mine was lacking once I had more or less fixed my other mechanical issues.
For general aim, just do the gold mechanics training hooj recommends. As the above shows, when I said mechanics, I didn't just mean clicking heads.

Woohojin/Guys, I need some help, I play on duelists mostly, plat 1-plat 2 (eu servers), I am vocal every single game, but 70% case people will just tell me omg youre so annoying we are not playing vct just shut up and play (and then mute me), and I get that as a response when I try to call some simple rounds, like contact, or simple split of smth, controllers never smoke the right way on the first execute (and they dont always listen when I tell them the right way), like for example today I played pearl, on the pistol round I called split a (no one said a word against it or just said anything), i gave everyone the exact instructions, I told my Brim and yoru to go a main on late timings, told my sky and sage to go art with me, told my brim to smoke flowers and secret (even pingt exactly where)? I told my sage where to put her wall (to hold art) and told them what to do in post plant (maintain art control), as a result my yoru went be, brim didnt smoke anything at all, sage didnt use her wall, skye didnt flash and dog (cause I forgot to tell her exactly where and how) and on pre-round nobody even said that hey man, we dont wanna do what youve just said... And this shit really pisses me off and I know that if I will try to call the second round too, I will get the same result, so Im really confused about what should I do, every time there is someone who is either dumb, or doesnt speak english or plays like a silver, or thinks that you have to hide all game to win, or someone who never trades, or controller players, that just waste their smokes, or that smoke in a way that doesnt give u space

Has this past week been absolute hell in ranked for anyone else? I solo and due q'd to ASC2, playing really well for the most part. I take like 2 weeks break. I just lose.. and I ended on diamond 1. Feels like if I don't carry we don't win kinda games.
