Well done! I’m sure you’ve been tempted a few times to really give that wheel a strong spin. Is the tension on this wheel adjustable to make it as loose or tight as you want, or just a fixed tension?
the LED strip is controlled by an arduino, on the underside of the wheel i have alternating white and black strips opposite an infrared sensor so each time the wheel "ticks" it advances the lights a few steps

On one side of the wheel they have a black and white stripe... and I was told that’s how they do the beeper. So, theoretically, one could use an arduino to make both WOF lights & a TPIR Beeper. One of these days, I’ve got to make my own model/mock/mini WOF & TPIR wheels.

It's on a simple ball bearing for turntables. No adjustability as far as I'm aware other than giving it some lubricant
