next year im going to college and ive been planning on majoring in accounting then possibly going after a masters in finance once im done with accounting is this a good choice i enjoyed bookkeeping and auditing and the accounting subject as a whole even though it was a bit stressful and hard for me
@@CPATuttle so far education wise things have been hard as our lessons are getting harder and harder and my current situation is making things worse but i do love accounting so hopefully i can get through this
Currently going through my CPA journey. Just received my score back for FAR. Sat for Regulations on May 23rd. The fact that we have to wait over a month for testing results sucks. I took FAR on February 20th, and just received the score on May 29th. What do you do in the meantime? I moved onto other exams but it feels like you're taking steps backwards by learning a whole new section, sitting for that examination, and THEN finding out whether or not you passed the prior exam and having to restudy. Also, wishing I would have gotten a job in public instead of private. I don't really get any exposure to the Tax or Audit side, its more of corporate accounting aka glorified bookkeeping.
I just failed my 4th exam straight (got my score back today) & still haven’t passed any yet, I never study the sims and only did MCQs, your video just told me to do the reverse of what I’ve been doing, so this video feels like confirmation for me to try it your way 😭😭😭, I feel so defeated as of today, great video btw!
I think reading that book is too much and time consuming to absorb. I’d read something more condense, and use it as a reference to topics. But definitely do all the SIMS after you have all the basics down
Pay attention to Income taxes class, you can apply this for the rest of your life to do your own taxes, no matter what job you do.. Yes the CPA exam takes a lot more knowledge of the subject, self disciple and motivation to pass than an accouniting degree
Well said . I failed Reg three times and Sims were my weakness .

Keep me posted on your journey. The industry and the education is always changing!

@@transcribed I'm sure you will
I don’t work in accounting, I passed only audit for the discipline I’m not sure if take isc or bar. I tried Bec twice and didn’t pass.
My advice is to take FAR first

If you feel you may have passed FAR, I'd study and take one of the others while you wait for your score. FAR overlaps material on the other exams.

I had failed four straight as well. Then turned it around and passed them all. You can do it too. Keep me updated with your progress!
I failed audit twice and I passed when I decided to read the book, do mcqs and sims. It is important to understand the material.
I will definitely try this approach, i use Becker. Do you think reading the book & doing all the sims in becker be enough?

I have a doubt please clarify can we FaceTime or zoom plz help need to give my exams 🙏 from India
Man, im taking intermediate 3 and Income Taxes are killing me. Kudos to anyone attemptimg the CPA which I imagine is way harder than school.

@@CPATuttle I'm trying, unfortunately the textbooks feels like it's written for a CPA, haha.
is life much differnt after getting CPA?
I haven’t had a job or a monetary difference because I have a CPA license. Yet. Versus an accountant without a CPA, or an Enrolled Agent for tax jobs.
I realize I made that mistake to do the easiest one first
It's a common mistake
wherr can i buy the glen book
Gleim website. It’s the one that worked for me to absorb the material since it was pretty condensed
