    Hey bro đŸ‘‹đŸŒ. How is the suspension..?? Heard it’s good for highway, no one talks about city roads. Is it suited for city driving also?? (the roads with more speed breakers, bumps & potholes)

    • @vikasshetty1987
      @vikasshetty1987  Pƙed 3 lety +1

      Hi Vignesh , thank you for reaching out .
      The suspension are independent setup & are on harder side due to dampening. But on slow speeds over multiple potholes you will feel them .
      Speed breaker & a bumps there behave better than a normal car & no jumping feel .
      I just felt : on too much undulations roads surface( where all 4 tyres are on different heights), there is lot of body roll at slow crawling speed .

    Hi, I almost bought the same colour and variant however in my long test drive I found the driver seat to be too firm and not at all comfortable, I doubt how comfortable they are for you especially for long drives?

    • @vikasshetty1987

      Agreed the driving seat is lumbar support is on hard side . But then this car does have Automatic adjustment of Lumbar support for you lower backbone to mid .
      Initially after I bought , my body took time to adjust to seat đŸ’ș. But then I could find the sweet spot of seat adjustment to make me comfortable. I have seen lot of JEEP owners do put extra cushions or support for back rest .
      It’s a subjective matter from person to person .
      I would say their seats are not the softest one â˜đŸ», but quality of leather & finish is best

      The windshield & windows have special UV reflectors which is built into the Glass itself .
      Secondly : A/c is dual zone automotive climat control.
      Jeep is not a huge car : it’s a medium SUV . It has a climate control automotive AC in top variants . If you run the AC on auto mode or low temperatures, during severe summers ; you shouldn’t face any trouble at all .
      I have not noticed anything wired with relates to AC . It’s optimal but not mind blowing .
      You even have a Panoramic sunroof to quickly decimate hot đŸ„” air from car with one touch

    • @vikasshetty1987

      All automatic have triptronic mode ( manual ) . The traction control of all jeep variants works like a charm , ensuring all wheels have enough traction to climb . The all terrain tyres are top of the line Bridgestone for limited variants and above . Mileage will be your area to decide ?? Petrol with 7-8mileage in city or diesel with 10-12 kmpl in city

    AC vents are integrated which is good to see etc. But have heard that the AC cooling is below par, and not good for peak Indian summers. To explain better, in other cars a setting of 22-23 is good enough to chill those cars, but in JC you have to lower the temp to 18-19 to cool effectively. Your comments?

    • @vikasshetty1987
      @vikasshetty1987  Pƙed 3 lety

      I think , the vents in Jeep Compass 🧭 is bit too narrow causing slower cooling when you get into the car on a hot summer . Also the amount of soft touch materials absorbs lot of heat . We need to also note compressors of all car manufacturers is different specs when it comes to Petrol & diesel cars & length of car . Will have to check the difference in tech figures .

    Hello I am planning to book same variant & same color but everyone I know insisting me to book limited diesel (for Mileage and stuffs), Since I don't have any experience with diesel I am leaning on this model.
    How is experience so far have you faced any issues? Many owners reporting issues like Cabin Noise, Disk Creaks, Engine Auto off, Wireless connectivity and Air Con Issues! But all these are from Diesel models. I don't see any issues reported online for 2021 petrol model.

      Interiors are same for Petrol / diesel .
      Petrol mileage in city with traffic is very low 6-7kmpl . But on highways with Petrol engine auto , you can achieve 13-15kmpl too . I have done it .
      But if you are driving Daily , then diesel is what u shud buy. Diesel auto is only with 4x4 options . So check ur options .
      Petrol auto doesn’t have any problem so far , completed 1 yr now .

      But yes mileage is dismal in heavy traffic prone cities 6-7kmpl with Air condition. But the mileage calculated by JEEP system is based on an average of per Hour . So if you are driving real short intervals less than hour , the car shows very poor average by its internal measures & criteria .

    Overall it's an excellent product. My concern was DDCT - Dry Dual Clutch Transmission system, it's not conducive for Indian Climate, with high climate temperature and dusty environment, it's prone to breakdowns, that's why most other premium companies have stopped this transmission and opted for conventional Torque Converter or CVT atleast for Indian market.

    • @vikasshetty1987
      @vikasshetty1987  Pƙed 3 lety

      DDCT engines are majorly used in performance cars . Torque converters are conventional automatics which is in use by many manufacturers, but lacks the pickup & power of DCT .
      DCT bcoz of its power , yes does get heats quickly . But the best part is , the shifts are very fast & there is no power lag . More power can be generated in a DCT with same engine size than through Torque converter .
      DCT of FIAT is one of number 1 performance Petrol engine in the world sources to many manufacturers

      @prankie2007 Pƙed 3 lety

      I'm sorry, I just saw that you have answered the mileage questions multiple times.. is it true that the car feels lazy under 2000rpm. How reliable is the dct transmission?

    • @vikasshetty1987
      @vikasshetty1987  Pƙed 3 lety +1

      Hi Priyank, yes mileage is pretty bad for congested cities like Mumbai Bangalore Delhi đŸ˜·. But all luxury cars BMW Mercedes Audi skoda are the no better than Jeep in mileage . This car is more of a highway 🛣 & long distance SUV . But if mileage is not a criteria , then for city too it’s a comfort & style statement O|||||||O
      Below 2000rpm the feedback from accelerator is not that great if you have been driving a Manual car before ( trust me it has changed the way I used to drive in city with manual ritz ) . Hard acceleration in city will make your mileage drop to 7kph on average. So you will have to be gentle with the acceleration & get into the habit of driving automatic . But over a period you develop the sweet spot on paddle which gives you the right pick up that keeps you comfortable.
      Plus point : the DDCT engine is the best engine of Fiat & reliable . Same engine is sourced to many other cars . It churns out the max BHP FROM THIS . The shifts are ultra smooth & car changes gear ⚙ so quickly , from 0(1st gear ) to 60kph ( 4-5 gears ) if you paddle smooth .
      It also has triptronic which is very comfortable to drive ( if only you get used to it ) the triptronic has a very good feature to reducing the gears automatically when your speed reduces . Else for high gear ration , you will have to hit the knob .
      Overall the driving above 60+ is very confidence boosting & bad roads are ironed out , even small bumps are cake walk
      I would be making a separate video on Negative of Jeep Compass , stay tuned and subscribe

      Jeep Compass : clutch burn out in automatic ?
      I have done exhausting study : Jeep improvisation on safety put a lot of checks when you are driving .
      Example electronic parking brake ( EPB ) disengagement happens only when you press the brake & shift modes . Many driver forget this & tend to shift without brakes applied through foot đŸŠ¶đŸ» causing stress to gear system. Plus while taking reverse 🔄 you should ensure the car is standstill before engaging reverse .
      Some good driving habits will never create gear issues . This engine is being used by many different manufacturers sourced by Fiat & Fiat is the parent company of JEEP

    Bro I also got my compass sport manual in petrol 2 weeks back and I am able to get 8.5-9KM/L in Bangalore city traffic. I don't get a chance to drive it on highways as of now.. Thanks for the video.

      Congratulations buddy . That’s a good choice . Sports version is good deal , over a period you can make changes to alloys & wrap the top panel to make it more sportier like Limited model .
      I have taken the car on highway & with traction control: the vehicle just feel super planted & confidence inspiring . Trust it flies low

    Is there a turbo lag in petrol?

    • @vikasshetty1987

      You will not feel the turbo lag in this engine .
      Fiat has tuned it very well for sporty drive .
      It’s the Fiat engine that is sourced to all companies including Tata , MG

    Wow the interiors are amazing the colour of interiors does not suit to the car exterior colour. If your car exterior would be blue or black or even white also than the colour of the interior could look more awesome and combination would also be nice

      In my test ride of 50KM, mixed city and highway, it gave 8 kmpl combined, petrol AT. That's the only thing stoping me from buying this. And year one more thing, the slugging performance between 70-110 kmph. Then I drive Diesel AT and that was cruising at 120 with no fuss.

    • @vikasshetty1987
      @vikasshetty1987  Pƙed 3 lety

      Yes diesel is more torque than petrol ⛜. Agreed if you are running the car mode daily at least 80kms( hwy ) then buying diesel makes sense . Petrol engine is quieter and less maintenance on long term ( 10-15yrs )

      Jeep body & material used would last for 10 years easily . Service cost is 15,000kms interval or 6months costing no mote than 10,000â‚č . After 35,000kms brake pads change would cost your 3,000â‚č extra .
      Extended warranty of 3+2 years could be purchased extra .
      People in USA & other countries still used 20+ old Jeep still without any issue . That is the build quality . If you are going to think of mileage then , don’t buy .
