Also, I’m not much of a rap fan but I think I love the gimmick mainly because of the references & the charisma. There also pretty solid wrestlers & I hope they get the tag titles down the road.

A lot of their raps are a mix between current events and “inside jokes” about the wrestlers they’re going against so most non wrestling fans won’t get all the lines

Just to clarify a few things for anyone wondering
Bowens, Max's tag partner, is openly gay. Also, a lot of Max's raps, when not directed at wrestlers, tend to reference whatever might be in the news at the time(Heard/Depp trial, Biden catching covid/approval rating) or wherever they're at(the Ventura line and Prince line were at a Dynamite held in Minnesota). I don't think Max is very political, left wing or right wing, outside of the ring he just uses those references when they can fit into his raps.
One thing I would also say, Max is far better at his raps now than he was when he first debuted in AEW. He's absolutely found his footing and he and Bowens are arguably the most over homegrown AEW talents in the company right now. They also just won the AEW Tag Team Championships.
Wait til they find out Anthony Bowens is actually gay and has a boyfriend…

The song “Judas” is an AEW anthem . Every AEW fan can sing every word , without music, like it was taught to them as children from church . AEW fans go to AEW shows to sing Judas as loud as they can .
When the Acclaimed cut off Judas , and the crowd couldn’t do the sing a long …it got huge boos from the crowd . The Acclaimed were bad guys then , and depriving an AEW fan of singing the song they came to sing brought a ton of heat .
That is why the fans reacted When Max says “ we cut off Judas “
Here’s a crazy but completely true story about the other guy in the ring , MJF . When MJF was 5 he was a guest on the Rosie Odonell show where he sang the song “ you are my sunshine “ . Max’s line : “ maybe you want to be my sunshine and sing “ every AEW fan knows the Rosie Odonell story .
Craziest part of that story ? MJF , at five years old , looked at the camera and said “ I want to be a pwo wessler when I grow up . He’s now the AEW world champ .
I don't think they'll themselves are all that political leaning, but they know their audience and what will get the most heat. The raps have to stay tv appropriate as well. Max almost got fired last year for a track against Julia Hart, and now his material has to get approved by TK.
Honestly, you compare his raps a year ago to now, he has grown TENFOLD. He's become absolute FIRE on the mic.

It's not a gimmick gimmick he actually raps and has songs, he mostly did diss music videos on CZcams about his opponents. Max was doing raps and videos before AEW
Never been a rap wrestling gimmick fan either. John Cena got over to a certain extend, R-Truth's bars were almost unintelligible.
These guys though took it to a whole other level with their non PG Rap.
The Acclaim has to be my most favorite tag team at the moment.

Christian has always been a better mic worker, in ring worker and more over organically than Edge has. Vince gravitated to Edge because of his look. And Vinces decisions do not make reality, he's a fucking weirdo, and we're better off without him.

Used to watch Max on Grim's wrestling when he was just a student. MJF too. Crazy to see them really killin it last couple years.
Showing the acclaimed's entrances to non-wrestling fans is almost pointless cuz they wouldnt get a lot of the lines lol
When the acclaimed first came in to AEW during the empty arena time. I thought the gimmick was very corny and bad. But once the crowds came back they started getting som decent reactions. And ever since Bowens started the Scissor me daddy ass thing. They just took off.
The early raps were ok but the recent ones have been way better

Now, for every Roman Reigns 1000+ day reigns, you have 20 or 30 wrestlers with reigns that never reach the 100 days mark. Hell, a bunch of them doesn't even reach the 75 days
A bunch of John Cena, Edge and Orton reigns, were 50 days long or even smaller (and that's only to name a few of them)
Christian is a legend with 7 world title reigns and 25 title reigns overall

No
"Is he in your top 10?"
No
But still a huge name in pro wrestling history, with a better career in his line of work than 99% of people will ever reach in any area of work. That's the point

@@andreleao7758 the amount of days or how many runs they had isnt the only metric to being legendary, its the quality of work..Austin is considered the GOAT by most fans/wrestlers and he had a relatively short run at the top with 6 title runs but all of them were memorable...Austin having the title revolutionized the industry and changed it for decades, which is what makes him 'legendary'..Anything thats truly memorable from Christians career will 100% be from his tag days with Edge..I like Christian too but your overrating him to a point that even he would disagree with and probably be embarrassed by

So here’s the thing about his raps. Most of them are insiders that only a wrestling fan would understand. That’s why you guys didn’t understand many, but I can’t blame y’all wrestling isn’t for everyone.

Also his partner Anthony Bowen’s is openly gay. He has has been out for a while, but not as far as ever really saying it on Arab. They gave him the chance to say it in a segment and the whole thing was entertaining. I mean it included a hot white woman rapping. Com on now. Lol. Caster uses a lot of inside baseball terms, the lines get out of date after a month.
I think caster is right-wing in the sense that everyone is considered right-wing unless they are super "woke" on literally everything. He has made positive references to student debt removal, for example. And I think he has done lines dissing Trump too. I'm center-right socially and center-left fiscally, liberals call me right-winger for that.

I won’t say wwe sucks as I like them but the work Christian has done in aew is the best of his career. I’d even say the few years of work Christian had done in aew is better than anything edge had done in that same timespan
