do you ever have issues with the conveyor belts binding or getting misaligned? I just got an old HD10 - runs good but both belts started getting out of alignmnet. Any tricks to keep in line?

The belly belt can sometimes be a pain to adjust looks like it's running smooth free spinning but as soon as you start grinding it pulls. I've never had issues with the chute conveyor other than bearings

hay smity what is your mill specs on that like turbine with and length and hammer length and thickness i like the turbine setup. screen looks a little small what ya running 1.5"-2" round.

I'll have to take some measurements, I haven't worked on this one in a while. Just a guesstimate would be roughly 4' long 2.5' wide. Hammer length is 9 inches, and screen selection depends on material usually 1.5" on the downside 3" on the upside.

@@smittyvideos2619 wow I was always told you run the same size screen if you have a two pace screen unless your doing it for a mulch mixture. haveing that long of hammer is crazy big too. you must have one big spacing between the turbine and the screen with low arch screen for sure witch would make sence. mine only has 3/4"x 5" long hammers on it currently with about 3/4"-1" space between the hammer and the screen spacing but I'm planning on upgrading the turbine and putting solid plates on it with thicker hammers and heavier rods and thicker heavier screen just trying to figure out what size thickness of plates to put on the turbine without going to heavy because I don't plan on running anything other then brush slabwood and small stumps in it like anything under 10" nothing bigger and regrinding. your information will help me out thanks again and be safe grinding.

@@jeromyw385xp yes sir, for regrind/compost we'll run 3" on both sides the older rotted stuff will pack the smaller ones up, and yes the two different sizes is to keep the material in the dye longer. happy grinding and be safe.

@@smittyvideos2619 oh OK that makes sense. I'm not getting into coloring stuff just making the mulch and selling natural to people that want natural stuff and selling stuff to a guy who will run it threw his coloring plant. less hassle for me
