I personally liked the raw wood, but the black and white definitely looks more elegant đ the time-lapse is very satisfying to watch, don't you worry about that đ

I did this exact stain on my front deck last spring. Regret on my end. A year later and there's so much wear and tear even on places we don't walk on and it's protected from a lot of sun. It was prepped exactly how it should have been, and I expected it to have wear and tear, but not under a year đ but I'm a project-holic so now all I can think about is stripping it once it cools down and do a waterproof natural polyurethane on it. I really do love dark stain though. I hope you guys have better luck with it not fading and chipping so soon. đ§Ą

The dark stain looks really nice, especially with the white highlighting the stairs †but I'm a bit concerned that the dark color is going to absorb heat and hurt both feet and paws

I really appreciate the work you are doing. I'm interested in doing similar projects at home as well. Could you also assist me in learning how to operate the tools, take accurate measurements, and how to cut various pieces of boards or wood for different woodworking tasks, especially if I have limited knowledge in this area?

??? The dark color absorb the heat and it will burn the bottom of your feet i know from experience i had to buy sun sail to put over my deck

We will be adding a shade structure to the deck so it wonât all be sun for very long!!
Why not just get Trex?
Stain looks great until you need to do it again in a year or two. Then agan in another year or two etc etc. Generally I oil my decks and fencing. It doesn't flake and it extends the life of your dcck, fence etc. I stained a fence once. NEVER egain.

I gotta say, this is one time I don't care the main portion of the maker. The black on the deck flooring feels like one of those things where you'll be back tracking to remove it after you or your pets burn your feet on it. I know it's Canada, but still. That's gonna be HOT. The rest looks great.
I love how yâall do your projects but itâs a little depressing when yâall make the videos and jump from one project to other Iâd rather see yâall finish one project first
