  • Looking to maximise the lifespan of your Blaze King wood stove? In this video Cory walks us through the maintenance and replacement of the catalyst. Technical beasts require a steady hand. Luckily the Blaze King wood stoves aren't overly technical but in it's own way, this emphasizes how important it is to take care of your Blaze King. Knowing how to handle your catalyst and the gasket are crucial. This video covers both and a few commonly overlooked areas. We also go over how staying on top of maintenance for each area can help extend the life of your Blaze King wood stove.

Regarding installing the blaze king wood insert. If the insert requires a 15 degree angle to go up the chimney will that affect the stove function? We’re looking at getting the princess..

thats a fairly minor adjustment in angle I can't imagine you would even notice. fairly standard on inserts. you'll love it! amazing inserts!

Is it true that the cast iron top of the Ashford can be removed if you wanted to cook on it? Not that I would regularly do that, but in an emergency situation where there is no power I'd like to use the stove for cooking.

in an emergency its certainly possible, if you remove the top of the ashford its basically a skillet built in! not that I would suggest cooking directly on your blazing!
