So few of these special Cadillacs still exist making this a great opportunity to add a California, rust-free Eldorado Seville to your collection that you can use and enjoy regularly.
This attractive and rare 1956 Cadillac Eldorado Seville for sale was purchased by our client in 2011 through a Southern California dealer who acquired from a long-time southern California collector/owner who appears to have taken good care of it. He stated at that time that the miles were original. Our client has driven the car approximately 3,000 miles over the last 8 years.
The car was originally finished in Alpine White. At some point, it was properly and completely color changed to Mandan Red long ago. Due to the limited production of only about 2,150 of the Eldorado Seville, finding the color you wanted wasn't always possible so early color changes weren't too uncommon. The paint still holds a nice shine and though it has aged and has plenty of imperfections that can be seen up-close, it still is attractive, probably best described as a good "ten-footer".
The 365/305HP V8 it's original 'Power Pack' dual Quad 4 Barrel Carburetor fires up and runs strong and smooth. Shifting is spot-on and the suspension and braking feel good and responsive. The car is easy to navigate with power steering and power brakes. Recent repairs and improvements include new tires, new power brake booster, new automatic transmission seals and gaskets, new exhaust, new foam in front and back seating area, new battery, new oil pan gasket.
The interior appears to be in mostly original condition with its Red & White Florentine Pattern Metallic Nylon with Leather Bolsters and Trim along with its rare and highly desirable factory options including Autronic eye automatic headlight dimmer, rear air vents, power windows, 6-way power driver seat, factory air conditioning.
The body is rust free and very straight. Be sure to see the video where I walk around the car with the magnet to show just how nice the body is underneath the paint along with the rust-free undercarriage. The chrome and trim are aged with a lovely patina. The car is equipped with the optional Gold Grille with matching Gold cast Sabre-Spoke wheels, winged hood mascot ribbed chrome door saddles as in 1955, wide angles gold 'V' in the center of the trunk lip, Cadillac script on the gold front grille, Eldorado Seville script nameplate on the front fenders.
This was the last year of the air conditioning unit to be trunk-mounted and therefore these rare air conditioned 1956 models were the last models to have the round air-intake appendages atop each rear quarter panel making them easily distinguishable from the non-air conditioned models, heater and defroster, original Signal-seeking with pre-selector radio (working) and antenna, back-up lights, power trunk release, original spare wheel, and jack.

Ir would make a lot of sense (and increase the value of the car) if you got the AC operational, especially when your weather is topping 100 degrees!

It was 100% accurate when they called Cadillac - Standard of The World. The golden age of the Detroit. It was so great even a "sworn enemy" USSR was redrawing their cars from an American automobiles. Truck ZIL 130 (bumber to bumper 1956 Ford F-series), 1959 ZIL 111 or GAZ 13 Chaika "eng. seagull" GAZ 21 (mix of Ford, Lincoln, Buick cars) and some others. But take a look at all this today! Detroit look like it was air bombed. Ruins. Economy catastrophe. Crimes. Good heavens!

I would fix the air conditioning for a quicker sale. Since it’s “all there” it shouldn’t be that hard to do instead of suffering in 100 degree heat one would think!
