Well that was edited together. It was pretty well known when the song was released and publicized. It seems the song has recently resurfaced and a lot of young people think it was actually sung in one go.

The song is 'Breathless' by Shankar Mahadevan. I suppose I have seen many singers do it, so it is doable with practice. I have no knowledge of technicalities, but it seems plausible that they(all those who've sung it successfully) can mask they're breathing such as it appears as if no breathing is done. It seems more like a magic trick, but you still need the singing chops and experience to pull it off.
The first one is a traditional bengali form of singing known as "Baul Gaan".. The Baul are a group of mystic minstrels of mixed elements of Sufism and Vaishnavism from Bangladesh and the neighboring Indian states of West Bengal, Tripura and Assam's Barak Valley and Meghalaya. Baul music celebrates celestial love, but does this in very earthy terms, as in declarations of love by the Baul for his bosh-tomi or lifemate. With such a liberal interpretation of love, it is only natural that Baul devotional music transcends religion and some of the most famous baul composers, such as Lalon

In these breathless signings you basically store a belly full of air while only using chest breath minutely to sing. It’s rough teemed as breath economy. However it’s way much easier said than done. Most of the singers that do it do so because of the genuine talent. To make it through skill takes really long time and repeated practices. The voice is mostly chest voice. Breathing/meditation technique to have control on your lungs can definitely help. But, in most cases, the users are mostly by default talented. Skills can be cultivated, talents are just either there or not.

actually, that second one was from some reality show from south India..and if you look closely to the performance you will understand that he was just doing a lip sync. many words you hear are not he is speaking. Even though the original song BREATHLESS is sung by Shankar Mahadevan and he breathes in between almost 10 to 15 breaths may be.....but the way he breathes is so smooth that we can't hear him breathing. maybe i can be wrong about the breath count of Shankar sir , it can be more or less.......but I'm sure that guy singing is not genuine...no one can sing so smooth like Shankar sir....and those reality show is just doing this things for TRP..
