We finally got our hands on the 2024 Honda CRF450WE Works Edition and put it to the test at Glen Helen Raceway in Southern California. This bike is loaded with goodies like a cleaned-up cylinder head, unique suspension settings with Titanium Nitride coatings, a larger 18mm shock shaft, a full Yoshimura RS-12 exhaust system, Hinson clutch basket, updated ECU settings, race-inspired HRC Honda graphics, Throttle Jockey seat cover, Renthal grips and more. In this video, Josh Mosiman talks about all the details of this bike, mentioning many of the products we tested and raced with on this bike over the last year.

The most Factory looking bike on the market, Absolutely Beautiful
You mean more so then the KTM factory editions with the super nice wheels, clamps and graphics, muffler. I used to bleed honda red but now I am OK with many brands but the KTM to me is the nicest looking factory edit bike out their.
@@CalgaryAudits The reason I learn towards the Honda is because of those Kashima coated forks, but if the ktm had them to the ktm would be the winner for sure.
@@JohnSandoval301 But I can get my KTM tubes and shock done for way less then I can upgrade the wheels and tripple clamps on a Honda.
But I used to say "I'd rather be dead then not riding red". Now I just bought a new SXF factory edition just because of how sweet it looks and they work well to. Now so many of these brands are great bikes.
@@CalgaryAudits yep dude the ktms come with way more stuff, I think the Honda looks a bit better with the coatings but ktm definitely takes the win performance wise and like you said you can just coat the tubs

This is by far the best "Factory Edition" bike on the market with the engine polish and kashima coating. It's just not stable enough for me at high speeds like a Yami/ Kawi.
Honda = Top selling bikes and most reliable cant be wrong!

I have a '23 of this one. It's everything they say it is. Finest bike I have every owned.
I am a little surprised that Honda doesn't have WIFI connectivity to the ECU.

@mxa how does this stack up agains the 2024.5 KTM 450 Factory Edition? Don't know which one of these two to pull the trigger on.
Polished intake port? You typically do not polish intake ports. It causes atomized fuel to bead and puddle like rain drops on a windshield. Resulting in poor combustion. You port intake and texture to help further atomize fuel. By basically wicking it off a rough surface. Only polish exhuast.
Unless your just talking about air intake.
So front end still way to twitchy from factory?
I wish they would have done this with the CR250's in the 90's

With the Ride Engineering 23.5 triple clamps, do you still run the forks flush? How does that affect cornering?
Looks like he kept them flush in the photos of his thunder valley bike with the ride engineering clamps

@@cme982 it’s really nice the power delivery is smooth and it’s not always trying to rip your arms off, I used to have a Ktm factory edition and I like the Honda better, the only thing is I had to tinker with the suspension a lot to get it right for me
@@PrestonMx33 great feedback! I had the 2023 KTM FE and sold it for the KX450SR for more compliance. That comment about the smooth power/acceleration makes it VERY appealing to me!
@@cme982 yeah the Honda is going to be like the kx but better, the only thing I have done to it is put our sponsors on it and got it tuned

He put over 100hrs on 2 bikes in one year? Thats an insane amount of riding. I’m definitely jealous and wish I lived in California where there are tracks open more than once a month. I gave a 22 gas gas 450 that I have had for a year now and it has 20 hours on it and that was with me doing what I consider a lot of racing in one year lol.

They are racing 25's, this is already obsolete. I wanted a 24' but they were never available. Glad I got my YZ450F

That exhaust header pipe sure hangs low... Seems like it would be easy to damage (and it just looks goofy).

This directly follows the release of the 2025 rendering this one worthless 🤣 But then I won't want the 2025 because it's the 1st year of a new iteration, then I won't want the 2026 because by then the "ALL NEW, MAJORLY IMPROVED" 2027 will have debuted..............
