Desire and Expectations are often linked to one's spiritual and moral decline. But is it really possible to live without having any desire? Does the Karma Yog direct us to rid ourselves of all expectations, goals and ambitions? Does the notion of becoming Nishkaam (Selfless) mean eliminating all our desires, no matter how sincere or pious?
These questions frequently trouble a seeker’s mind while traversing the spiritual path. And having clarity about becoming Selfless is of utmost importance, as there tends to be a lot of misconception around this topic, which can steer us further away from the experience of Self.

I Love this point by Sri Ben Prabhu that Selfless doesn't means to live without desires or expectations. It means to manage them and your happiness doesn't depend on their fulfillment... And to manage expectations their are following points:
1 Define your expectations from other person🙂
2 Express it to other person🙂
3 Expectations must be logical and realistic🙂
4 Acceptance, if other person not able to fulfill it🙂
5 Expect from yourself, Be happy and peaceful🙂
6 Have Faith on GOD wish🙂

Please guide how to explain expectations to someone who is not so close to you that we can express frankly but not a random person from whom we don't keep expectations. Sometimes the minimalistic expectation that we have already expressed indirectly are not being completed that we get hurt.(directly asking for something from a colleague as a gesture is not justified).one incident is still in my mind that when recalled hurts again. Kindly guide
