@@blackum DDoS would still be an incorrect description imo, it kind of gets overused. The first D id DDoS means distributed, as in, coming from many sources. Which, I mean, depending on how you look at it I *guess* you could argue that each taxi driver *is* an individual source of traffic (pun entirely intended) but if we're talking about the service itself and the roads, it's more of a DoS (?). The line is kind of gray.
Still hilarious though.

By my mistake, I called two taxis to the wrong place and didn't want to apologize personally. So I ordered third one and while I was waiting I said sorry to every driver.
So I just registered with a number and ordered three taxes with no concequences.

i found out about the chromium thing years ago when i downloaded what i thought was the right software for a project i was working on and found it weird that chromium was always active and after some time the computer would lag for a bit and chromium would close for a second and another program would take its place and i looked into how chromium works and it was running a background network downloading and executing programs using the malicious software and i figured out the figured out it had basically modified the chromium software to hide the malware when i deleted the malicious software and for around two weeks i basically went on a goose chase until i finally removed the software

well I imagine the system probably just sends a dispatch message to the nearest available driver to the location a request is coming from... so the hackers probably just figured out how to send a dispatch message to all drivers and anyone who wasn't currently driving someone came...

WARNING NEW EXPLOIT POSSIBLE FOUND - I notice on my Android 11 phone an incoming text message sound notification without message. But the text message send code execute by ANDROID to the Google assistant to activate my WiFi. I saw the phone open up and the Google assistant open and answering the code. Google assistant waited 2 sec and the WiFi windows appear in the Google assistant. Because I always turn the internet off on my phone that have my SIM card because I can be hack and the Pegasus group or other will know my identity with my SIM card.
Depending how long ago it happened might be worth getting in touch with your cellular provider and see whether their system still has a copy of the potentially malicious message. If you could get your hands on it I am sure you could find any number of malware research organisations that would be interested in examining it. Problem is that depending on your operator they may only hold them for as little as a few days to a few months so you want to get in touch asap if you want to try and get it from them. But getting a look at it to see how exactly it managed to exploit the text message handling in order to take actions that should not be possible and then delete itself if indeed what is what happened could help lead to a fix for said exploit.

I miss the old days like navashield or BonziBuddy or even when I was a kid with Dos viruses that were colorful or made you play a game to unlock your stuff or risk loss of data. Hacking now days is boring its always ransomware, a skiddie R.A.T or lame crypto crap for sheckles.
Those are called "prankware", and they still exist! People are still making them, but rarely. Also, making malware that exploits vulnerabilities in an OS is extremely hard nowadays, the only reliable solution is social-engineering

since a desktop google translate does not exist officially then google should be able to shut it down using their api by detecting the app accessing the back end and blocking the results or giving the user a captcha prompt.
It's not using the API, it embedded the whole page, and showed it like any browser would. So shutting it down would be virtually impossible.
also people have legit use to use translate outside of the standard web page, especially for tools that use its api to translate stuff outside the web browser for better convenience.

Slight note on brain cancer, a person can have it's full conscience up until the end, as suprising as it may seem. In my case, it was his ability to do stuff that was affected(he'd miss the bathroom even if it's in front of him, had trouble laying down properly, etc), his memory, ability to speak, etc was untouched.

in chromium it's possible to create desktop shortcut to open as an app and it's possible to pin to taskbar as regular app... no installation of other apps needed other than chrome or any other chromium browser

Um dude - google trends isnt showing the number of search results. It shows the popularity in comparison to its prior popularity. Aka 100 = the day when it was searched the most.
You can search for literally any term and compare it and the numbers will be in the same range, because thats how % works.
Pc auto shutdown is kinda useless in my opinion just make a script that will shut down pc and schedule it at a specific time

It's a plague how few people understand the search volume data. Using "how much ram do I need" is not showing data on the same scale as "Google translate desktop". Both are showing data based on their own highest volume being "100" and INDEPENDENTLY scaling down afterwards. Every day people are just spewing nonsense about how relevant certain topics are because they don't bother to look at how the tool works.
Then why does the overall scale change when you add/remove topics?
