It's cool to see you take on all sorts of vehicles whether they be NA, Turbo, or Supercharged --- MT or Auto. Looking forward to the smiles from my lady as her project comes along with yalls experience and know-how. 🍻
I just put a FLOWMASTER 40 SERIES EXAUGHST on mine stock resonator no drone sound's amazing. K&n CAI 60 SERIES. Aem throttle body SPACER. Trifecta tune, disabled fuel management system, run 93 octane. I get 290 RWHP ON THE DYNO. $900 TOTAL.
Just have a flowmaster welded in and call it a day.it sounds like the old 4.3...exactly like it. That corsa sounds like an eco boost with exhaust which sucks. Just make sure you keep the resonator near the muffler exit.it eliminates drone. Plus the exhaust with the truck basically stock does just fine for a tune and intake.save ur money for the tune
I love to see people tackle different mods and have thought about an exhaust for mine. Did the CAI. Agree - that exhaust is not my taste. Sounds like an angry Civic. Different strokes for different folks.
@@HighPSIPerformance you only gained 12 whp ? That’s it so the tune was a waste of money he spent over 2k dollars for 12hp? What was the problem I see those gains with just the bolt ons the tune didn’t help it?
The way I understand is cold air intake is air received from outside the engine compartment! The only difference you did was changed out the filter box for aftermarket which receives air from the same spot the factory did which was outside the engine compartment. You effectively did nothing different? Factory is stock with cold air intake!
This is not true. I own a 2019 Colorado and it does not come with a cold air intake. Chevrolet offers and OEM cold air intake that is an additional option as part of their performance package. It comes with a Cold air intake and an exhaust.
@@charlesr.beasley6222 I understand. As I mentioned, I have one. It isn't a sealed unit that only pulls from the fender well. It is also about the filter the flow goes through. The OEM cold air intake flows 20% better. The OEM cold air intake and OEM performance exhaust yields a 11 hp difference. And, if you have driven one with the cold air intake, you can hear the difference (even without the exhaust).
@@davidblanton9031 so, the only difference between stock and "cold air"🤔, is the filter! And if the "cold air/after market" filter breaths/lets more air through, must mean its not as efficient as normal on blocking out contamination.
@@charlesr.beasley6222 This is something that I have also considered, about whether the filtration is sufficient. That said, don't discount the shape of the filtration housing and the efficiency with which the air flows through it. And, don't lose sight of whether the cold air intakes are doing a better job of shielding the air from heat under the hood. I like the factory one as it is insulated, and I also like the air raid one. I will be choosing between those two when I get one for my truck. I am installing a magnaflow overlander exhaust which will give me more ground clearance as well as free up the air flow. I will use the Trifecta Tune as well. All in all, I am hoping for about a 25hp boost, and better throttle response. If this doesn't do it, then I will be going with the Mallet Supercharger system on my truck.

Awesome job with the gauges, I can't keep my eyes off them.
My pleasure
Nice. I put a S&B intake and gibson cat back split exhaust. Haven't tuned it yet
How to you like that setup? I have the intake, wanting the Gibson elite black split exhaust. The drone is what I’m worried about
I liked it but it did drone. Sometimes it would get a little annoying. Sold the truck in march

Why is it that every Colorado/Canyon after market exhaust sound so ricer? I want my truck to sound like a truck
Because the 3.6 V6 isnt a nice sounding engine. It's to buzzy and droney
True
I am going with the Magnaflow Overlander. I have been shopping for a while. I think it is going to be a pretty beefy exhaust for this engine.
What is the thought on bigger dia.
Truck sounds good until you give it gas
Has anybody put a more aggressive cam in the Colorado?
If not already can you drop the model number for parts? please
Link me that corsa 😍
Sorry dude but that sounds terrible

Agreed. Sounds good idling but once you hit the gas sounds like a civic
Throaty?? Why bother on a 6 cylinder or even the 4 its a waste of money. Just buy the tips for looks and call it a day
I've got a 2021 colorado v6. I'm not seeing the benefit of installing an aftermarket cold air intake when it has cold air intake from the factory.
Probably your filter is more restricted compared to aftermarket
@@dannymartinez8522 both ways pull air from the same hole in the fender wall, no cutting larger for aftermarket.
@@charlesr.beasley6222 I'm not talking about the piping I'm referring to the filter itself. Stock filter is more restricted.
Not entirely sure how it works but the numbers don’t lie. It will add about 14 hp guaranteed.
@@conman8136 in this vid he added i/e/tune. Kinda sucked cause u only gain 12hp
What ecu did you use to tune it?
The factory ecu with hptuners
