As a upcoming sophomore here’s what you need to know:
-Don’t try to be popular or a pick-me because people won’t like you.
-keep things you want to be kept a secret to yourself
-keep up with homework
-set-up a schedule and a good way to organize, I had a trapper keep that I brought home with all my homework and brought to every class with essentials that I will for sure forget if I didn’t have them in there
-be open to any club or sports opportunities, I did bowling, band, powerlifting, and equestrian team it keeps you out of drama and trouble if you focus on other things
-bring friends with someone doesn’t mean you need to like what they do or dress like they do.
-Getting good grades is more appealing to others than getting bad grades (meaning some like being friends with people who actually try to do their work well rather than those who don’t)
-ALWAYS listen in class
-try to be friends with those that are in relatively the same classes as you, it will make school a whole lot more fun, but keep the talking to a minimum
-keep your room clean (I know… it’s a problem for me too) it will make you feel better
-keep up your personal hygiene, just in general, hope y’all already do.
- I always liked to put a locker shelf at the bottom of my locker so I could make getting resources easier
-KEEP BINDERS ORGANIZED
-Try not to get on a teachers bad side
-don’t try to be friends with only upperclassman, people will think your weird and eventually they will graduate and leave you behind

as someone who’s just finished their freshman year, here’s some things i learned along the way:
-DO NOT NEGLECT YOUR GRADES. EVER. make sure to not over study and pressure yourself, ofc. try to find studying habits that work for you
-if you don’t ask ab drama, you won’t be in drama. keep yourself to yourself and DONT befriend gossips. keep your circle filled with people who truly motivated you
-start thinking about what you’re into, and expand on your interests in your free time. building any form of skill is an immense help
-keep all your notes organized, and do not throw them out at the end of the year. you’ll need them for the ACT, SAT, GAT etc
-participate in class. being smart doesn’t make you a teachers pet. it also makes it easier to make friends. also participate in clubs/ competitions. it’ll help for your college resume and will also help you find/learn more about your passions
-do NOT ruin your sleep schedule especially during exams. you’ll regret it eventually and saying you stayed up till 3 am isn’t cool anyway
-take advantage of presentations. it’s so hard being yourself in front of different people bc you’ll want to match their energy. but because you’re in front of lots of people, there isn’t any specific energy to match. the stage is yours
-do not neglect your rest. the importance of sleeping, eating, and drinking water doesn’t decrease because you have a project due next week
-don’t buy things from upperclassman unless it’s their old notes and study guides
-vaping and doing drugs in the bathroom doesn’t make you edgy please

Americans are SO LUCKY that they don’t have to wear school uniform…I live in England and i HATE having to wear a school uniform SO MUCH it looks so bad 🥲😭

I’m going into high school next year and I’m super nervous but really excited at the same time!
Girl, make sure to cherish these years of highschool cuz they fly by really fast and I really mean it. I'm already a senior highschooler and I get so emotional and melancholic when I see these kinds of videos on yt or even the younger kids at my school.. It's just.. idk I really want to be younger again and to not worry about the final exam ( BAC in my country), college entrance exams, not being at home next year cuz of college and missing my hometown, my family, everything :))
I hope your highschool experience will be an amazing one and don't worry, I'm sure you'll get over the hardships you'll encounter (maybe) in the future! You've got this! 💖

My advice as someone who is out of highschool:
-Be yourself. It sounds cheesy but it's true.
-Don't be afraid to advocate for yourself.
-Do your homework and don't be afraid to ask for help if it is allowed on the assignment.
-Study. I never did and I did decent but it would have been easier if I did lmao.
-Give yourself some time to relax.

Tips for you if you're going into 9th grade as a past 9th grader! (Sorry for arriving late to this vid!)
- You're not really going to need a lot of stuff as most of did online school before were mostly going to be doing work on the computer but it's really handy to have 2-3 notebooks.
- ALWAYS have a PENCIL (You won't believe how much people lose or don't have them.) Sometimes we unexpectedly need them.
-Remember to always have extra pads/tampons and clothes just in case anything happens.
-Dont try to be popular because popular people always end up in some sort of drama and people will try to avoid you which will make making friends difficult.
-Try to stay out of drama.
-You may realize you and some of your closest friends will become distant( it happens!) you'll won't have much of the same classes together and you're also going to meet new people! Step up and make new friends, start a conversation!
-Do NOT let work pile up on you! There is not really homework but if you don't finish work in class it WILL be homework. And having work piling up is going to be a bit ruff (I let work pile up and it took a while to get things sorted out for me.) and you won't have time to do the things you want after school.
-Have a planner! (THEY ARE REALLY USEFUL)/Stay organized!
-DONT THROW OUT WORK FOR THE WHOLE FIRST SEMESTER THEY MAY HELP YOU WHEN YOU NEED IT! THROW IT OUT ONCE ITS THE SECOND SEMESTER AND DO THENSAME THING!!
-Have folders!! Binders aren't really used at all since most h.s let us carry backpacks.
-Dont be afraid to ask for help!
Have at least 2-3 close friends with you if you go out to eat away from school during lunch!
-Have as much fun as you can and stay healthy!

i’m sooo nervous i start today (it’s 12:43am for me have to wake up at 6am) i don’t know where anything is in the school(s).. there’s two of them, and i have no friends 😭
@@needleinthehayy Ooh! So what I would recommend is that you use the app for your school district! For me there is StudentVue which tells me all of my classes and the classes of the day. I also have Trivory(Some schools don't use it though) which tells you school news and tells you when class starts and ends.(you can use them instead of carrying a piece of paper around.) You should definitely ask for directions if you do get lost! If you have no friends that you should also try to get a new friend! Talk to someone at your table and introduce yourselves and see if you got any periods together, try to stick around as much as you can! You got this!

as a senior this year, I can tell you all your grades matter in the future! Make sure to get all your required credits out the way so your senior year you’re not trying to catch up o meet graduation requirements. :) make the most memories bc I swear hs literally flies by so fast

I'm a sophomore this year and 1 thing I learned as a freshman last year is to get as much sleep as possible because you'll need it. So for example I have to leave my house to go to my bus stop by 8:00 am it doesn't take me too long to get ready so I wake up around 7:20 and am ready around 7:55 ish. If you pace yourself with what you need to do; you can get more sleep, have time to get ready, and leave on time. Personally I think you gave yourself too much time; I would suggest getting up around 5:30 or 6:00 to get ready. Which would give you about an hour and 30 to get ready if at 5:30 an hour if at 6:00. 5:20 if you have any extra things that might take longer. This is just advice you can keep your schedule the same if you'd like, need, or even want extra time. I know everyone has there own pace of how they get ready.
tip to make your eyelashes look longer with mascara. just start by putting mascara on the tips and the start putting it all over your lashes. also i def recommended using sky high! it’s not clumpy and it makes your lashes look so pretty + natural :)

-Freshman year is not as bad as everyone says it is
-Alot of people will pear pressure you to do "things" DO NOT LET THEM TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU
-No company is better than bad company!
-DO NOT VAPE BABE, JUST DON'T!!
-Get your volunteer hours done this year, if you wait it will only get harder
-If someone is making fun of you you can either: Ignore them, ask them to "explain the joke" or tell them they have something on their teeth. lol 😂
-If someone is disrespecting you, DO NOT, let it slide tell them that what they said was disrespectful
-Remember is someone is going out of their way to talk sh*t about you they are already beneath you
-DON'T LET THEM GET TO YOU THTS WHAT THEY WANT, INSTEAD DON'T BUDGE AND STAY UNBOTHERED QUEENS ❤❤❤
-Btw babe, no need to be insecure, the truth is that, no one gives a sh*t, no one thinks of you more than yourself, so F-it do whatever you want to do!
- Girl get some sleep you need it at least 6-7 hours will do, I can bet you are reading this at 2am when you should get yo ass to bed 🛌

- treat others how you'd want to be treated
- you can never be too prepared trust me 😩
- don't stress too much about exams! that sounds easier said than done but i rpomise you, they're not that deep. but still study for exams, just don't panic :)
- don't be fake it's cringe. be straight up with people
- have fun omg i swear after high school it all goes down hill

- Ignore what anyone says about how you look (besides when it’s something positive
- Ignore people who are a pain in the 🍑
- Be friends with the people who actually care about you
- Go to every single school event (besides the ones your not allowed to go to)
- Join a club or two that interests you

- Be Yourself

The flavor that was affected by this is the CHERRY PUNCH flavor. Jordyn, i'm not sure what flavor u chose but i just wanted to ya'll know to just be careful of that.
