I like how it starts with homer singing his version of Ring of Fire.
The door was actually unlocked all along, it just opened into the bathroom. Marge tried pulling the door and nobody was holding the handle in the open position when Bart was battering the door down with Homer's head.
For everyone mentioning the master bedroom ensuite; the Simpson house is well known to follow no consistency of architecture, often on purpose.
I especially like the spontaneous appearances of fireplaces.
You know how you can tell they really only just woke up? It took them a little while before they realized Maggie was the only one who could be in there.

I did the same thing when I was an infant apparently, took them hours to get me out.
Here’s my theory: Maggie was in her room playing with the ball, it bounces and rolls out into the hallway, she chases after it into the bathroom, shuts the door behind her and somehow it locks by itself.

+metroid767 it takes a long time to make an episode there's no way to consistently develop new content on a regular basis without pushing and pushing with a robust team.
It it takes 20 writers to write an episode in the US, while in the UK it only takes 3.
That's way too many co-executive producers.

In most episodes where the hallway is used it’s Lisa’s room a little to the right of staircase and then Bart’s room next to Lisa’s further down the hall, and then the bathroom is at the end of the hallway
But here the 2nd door that Homer came up to was the bathroom (it should’ve been Bart’s room)
Oh well, there are lots of different layouts based on necessity. I’m not sure any cartoon has been perfectly consistent… or even mostly consistent
