This man had one more Batman movie in him. Warner bros, seriously messed that up.
If they ever make a Kingdom come movie !!!!
Well today had some good news
@Everything Except Shoes They will!
Michael Keaton may play Batman again.
@@user-kn9hw5mo8c he will, with batfleck in flashpoint
Michael Keaton. Old Bruce. Batman Beyond. This has to happen.
He said he would do another Batman too.
If they do Batman Beyond, they have to do better than Terry McGinnis.
I'd much prefer Dark Knight Returns, I really couldn't see the fuss with Beyond, sorry.
It will, you shall see. Keaton will come back as old Bruce Wayne and the movie will break all the records, it is gonna be like a sequence to 20 years after Batman Returns.
Affleck's Batman v. Superman was essentially Dark Knight Returns.
Keaton's probably one of the nicest guys in Hollywood.
Probably the most normal out of the bunch anyway.
Mrsushi1011 Clayne Crawford is a pretty normal dude too.
And Birdman is the Best Batman.
Def one of most down to earth
@@MrHalo087 Hanks, Dustin Hoffman, Denzel Washington, Eddie Murphy, Gene Hackman, harrison Ford and DiCaprio are all normal
Michael Keaton is the best Batman, and Tim Burton absolutely nailed the Batman Universe. Can you imagine a third Tim Burton Batman movie? Would’ve been awesome.
Channel Awesome or Fanscription made what if videos of what if Tim Burton Directed The Schumacher verse, you could watch those, and see for yourself, if you want.
I grew up with Keaton's Batman, but I believe it's more nostalgia than anything. He doesn't have the physicality, the voice or personality of Batman/Bruce. Val Kilmer did a better job although his movie had an inferior writing.
I wish people would stop calling him Michael Keaton, 'That's Batman!
Or at least Bruce Wayne.
He is Batman.
I call him MichaelKeatonman.
Michael Keaton is an amazing actor but Hollywood has seriously underestimated this mans talents and diversity in acting skills. I mean after all…HES BEEN THE BEST BATMAN EVER FOR THAT REASON!!
Facts and think if it wasn't for batman 89 there'd be no batman tas
Fulmography its great!
@@leviread3354wow. That's a crazy snowball effect. Batman 89 led to Batman TAS, then the new adventures of Batman and Superman, Batman beyond, the Justice League/Unlimited, and more. That's crazy!
Michael keaton is such a nice guy to talk comes across as someone who'd talk to any fan of his ☺☺😊
He's actually a complete prick. He spat on my son when he asked him for his autograph. Couldn't believe it. Needless to say, I never gave my son a bath again.
He spat on your son ?
D Fens lmaoo dudes making up a fake tale 😂
Bill Murray from The Man Who Knew Too Little *I’LL TAKE YOUR ENTIRE STOCK!!!!!!*
Keaton was the best Bruce Wayne/Batman. Period.
Not agree the best bruce Wayne is Christian bale and the best batman is ben affleck
Nah, Bale and Affleck are better.
@@23bitchris60 Affleck???? WTF!!!!!! hahahaha Bale and KEaton, i do take that, cause Nolan films are a great trilogy and Burton films also. But, Affleck? for me is the worse along with George Clooney.
@@Charlito732 Nah Affleck was a great Batman, not his fault the movies he was in were shit. That warehouse scene alone shows why he's a top 2 Batman.
Best Batman in 89- 92 is Michael Keaton. Best Batman 2005-2012 is Christian Bale. Best Batman 2016-2017 is Ben Affleck. I think all 3 did a amazing job as Batman in their own way. I think Batman v Superman and Justice League would've been amazing movies and would've become successful if they were better written.
This guy looks like such a joy to be around and to talk with.
My hero since childhood . Such a unique actor
That was a great question about 'self validation through art'.
This interviewer is very good, it got Keaton talking intelligently about something interesting.
Michael Keaton explained once why he didn't do Batman 3. During the first one everyone and their dogs would try to throw input on how this and that should be. One of the things at the end is some felt it was a bit too dark. So, during Batman Returns it was about the same thing, and yet at the end they still felt it too dark and talked bout how kids could see it. Right then Keaton knew a third one would be more like a cartoon and not like how they been portraying Batman and the actual essence of the character. Burton knew from the start as well as Keaton. The character was a dark character. Kid looses his parents in a traumatic double murder and decides to take justice in his own hands. To do this he creates an alter ego that's meant to instill fear in criminals. That itself tells you that Bruce Wayne wasn't a happy go lucky guy and was letting out his personal demons as Batman. He was letting his dark and grudging sense of vengeance out through his Batman. Most people don't understand what some call the "Batman Truth" which is in sense of reality, the man was Batman and Bruce Wayne was his alter ego. The complete opposite side of the coin of Superman up to the line where people could still get behind and root for him. That the boy was at least 2 steps from being full blown raging psychotic.
No, Batman is a performance, it's a character that Bruce portrays. He's not being himself, he's portraying some avenging demon to scare the crap out criminals. He's afraid of bats, himself so of course Batman isn't who he truly is. Sure there's an ELEMENT of truth to Batman being his true self, but at the end of the day he's still dressing up and portraying a character. The same can be said for the public life of Bruce Wayne. All the good the man achieves with his donations to charity and all he does as a billionaire, surely that's still the essence of the man despite being dressed in a business suit rather than a Bat suit. The truth is both Bruce Wayne AND Batman are just characters portrayed by the true man underneath it all. The ONLY time you see him NOT playing a character of some sort is when he's in the Batcave talking with Alfred, or any other member of the Bat Family. It's the only time his guard is truly down, and the only time he's truly comfortable in his own skin. In these moments he's neither playing the character of Bruce Wayne Billionaire nor The Dark Knight Batman. That's the REAL "Batman Truth." He isn't Bruce OR the Bat, he's somewhere in between.
No, I don't think it's as simple as 'which one's the real guy.' Neither of them are a whole, healthy person. Bruce is the mask he wears in the daytime and Batman is the mask he wears at night. This guy has been a fractured mess since that night in Crime Alley. He doesn't know who he is without that night because in many ways, he's never been able to move beyond it. I feel that was the point of 'Batman Forever,' addressing that duality, having him move past his parents' murders, reconcile his memories with his identity and _choose_ to be Batman _and_ Bruce. (I mean, look at the shrink's name. Dr Chase Meridian? 'Chasing' the border between night and day?) Thematically, it was a solid story. Stylistically, it was an absolute circus fire. Keaton was well out of it.
Need a movie to be made of the dark knight returns and have Keaton play the aged batman it would be so epic
Still, you gotta admit, Batfleck has the build for Old Batman.
Tbh he can still be Batman he looks the same with a cowl on
DOOM4ME_16 Batman Beyond Movie 2022? Haha lol I wish
He’s in the new flash movie 😅
Dude... He's back in The Flash.
Michael Keaton played the best Batman.
His lateral way of talking was really good for Bruce Wayne. Can’t wait for this Flash movie.
Michael Keaton is my Batman
You know you’ve got a bad script when Keaton leaves the project because he hated the script. And then Val Kilmer accepts the role before even reading the script.
Everyone blames the director for those 2 Batman movies. But honestly, it’s the two script writers who deserve the blame IMO.
Tbh, Batman Forever wasn’t that bad of a movie. It was entertaining and had a solid enough ending. It was just less dark and a different style. Batman and Robin on the other hand…
I liked birdman, i'm glad it won best picture at the 87th Oscars.
I think the reason Michael turned down the role for batman forever is because the script was so stupid, as i recall the first line that batman says after alfred tells him if he's hungry, batman says to him "I'll get drive thru"
Bryan Zuniga Still better than Nolan's Trilogy.
Hey, you wanna side with someone who strays from Batman, be my guest.
Caine7ify I agree man Nolans Trilogy was boring shit. Batman would never quit and hide in his mansion. Nolan is a hack plain and simple
Glad to hear someone with his head on straight.
sergio castillo you sir must never have read The Dark Knight Returns...where he does exactly that. Oh and its considered the definitive Batman story. You clearly don't know what you're saying. you're a hipster with just a stupid need to go against the general consensus...even though your argument is invalid and makes zero sense.
You are a legend my good man
The fact that Tim Burton's version of Batman Forever didn't go through makes me hate the final product even more. I remember in second grade I was stoked that we were getting another Batman movie by Burton with Keaton. The original cast was excellent. I'm bummed that it didn't make it thanks to Warner Bros and McDonald's, however I am stoked Keaton is coming back is Batman and Flash. So as far as I'm concerned that's the third Batman movie in the Burton universe since they're going back to that and parts of the movie.
its official.....he returning as batman in new dc Flash fil....playing bruce wayne/batman.....i really hope he has the same suit....best batman ever....funny thing is ive also heard they just signed a new deal with ben aswell....so 3 batmans going on at the same time in the dceu......gotta be the multiverse thing going on.....
The best batman
Please do another beetlejuice! Pls don't let them replace you!
He’s getting in a role again! They own a good script to him.
Michael Keaton should have played Batman in Batman V Superman. Imagine the hype DC would have generated, tying Man of Steel into Keatons Batman movies, and having Keaton return as an older Bruce Wayne/Batman. BVS would have made Avengers type money with Keaton returning and the intro of Wonder Woman.
"BIRDMAN 4!!"
Ask Tim.
The 2010s are excellent years for him. Especially birdman, but not only that
The 2000s, on the other hand, really sucks🥺
Keaton did a great job, but I always commend Kilmer. His Batman was very underrated and he played the character well.
9 years after this interview, Beetlejuice returns.
We need a new Tim Burton Batman 🦇 and Beetljuice! 🪲
are the static waves within movement on purpose?
he is an artist though
Years later he is returning to the role in the flash movie
Birdman , sad , charming and interesting at the same time
I am not really sure about who do I took for the role of Batman, if take current time
Every time I hear Keaton in an interview, I think to myself "wtf is he talking about??"
who is hear after the possible casting?
Mention Batman to him...his eyes glaze over
He's such a cool guy! Me likee
If batman beyond does happen, it has to be as if batman continues existed and the shumaker crap never did
PLEASE KEATON...SAVE THE BATMAN FRANCHISE!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!🙏🏻 #MAKEBATMANGREATAGAIN. Spread the hashtag
Well do I have news for you
Who knew he'd be back at playing Batman ?
The best Batman
He's in the new DC flash movie woo hoo😉😉
2:35 there's something in the way
oh imaagine dark knight returns dirrected by burton with nicholson and keaton with a cameo by piefer and de vito maybe tommy lee jones. perhaps the best movie ever made?
He doesn't really answer any questions about Batman Forever.. the title of this video is misleading
Actors say a lot without saying anything. Love me some Keaton, though.
ask Tim..
And guess who's back...
If someone who didn't watch the movie Birdman heard the opening joke about the pig semen, he/she would be shook.
He literally only said no about Batman forever, this talk was more about Birdman.
Imagine what kind a career he would have had if Tom Hanks hadn't been around.
Didn't care for that interviewer. I would grill him on Batman Forever, the rumors about Jim Carreys salary being more than his & also Multipliciry. Nothing else matters.
Mr. Wayne entreview
Being female, I'd so like to get Mr. Keaton behind closed/locked door alone. I'd give him an "interview" neither of us would forget
Michael can so the dark knight returns
He didn't explain why he turned down Batman Forever soon as the interview asked him he changed the subject
He did. He read the script and thought it wasn't very good, which it wasn't.
He said it wasn’t good so yeah he did.
WORK WITH STEVEN SPIELBERG
You don't want to do something, thats not very good. Like Dumbo
I just HATE the Kijiji commercial... ten den ten den
The DCEU is a cinematic goldmine. It amazes me that WB still makes these crappy movies
I find it hard to believe he doesn't understand why the movie was written for him.
It's the car, chicks love the car. Loved it as a 12 year old. Awful now.
Clckbait! Boo
I call that bullshit ,he has other wack ass movies plus batman forever was better than 2 ,he says cause the script was horrible man part 2 was horrible with the stupid acting of other people lol
Ben affleck is the best batman
