- The origin of Haleem lies in the popular Arabian dish known as Harisah (also written as Harees, Hareesa). It is sold as a snack food in bazaars throughout the year. It is also a special dish prepared throughout the world during the Ramadan and Muharram months of the Muslim Hijri calendar, particularly in Pakistan. In Pakistan, Haleem is available all year round, as well as in most Pakistani restaurants around the world. Time to explore this historical dish in this episode of National Ka Pakistan.

Best Haleem I ate as a visitor to Hyderabad in India. Their Haleem is made only of wheat, with plenty of lamb mutton smashed generously into it, but the best part was their Haleem was very sticky and glutinous, that gives a very different and rich flavour.
There are some dishes that cannot be made with chicken or mutton. Haleem is one of them so is nihari. They both are made with beef and in pakistan it is made with beef.

Pakistani food is a beautiful combination of Indian, Central Asian & Middle Eastern cuisines. Haleem is a case in point. It is eaten in various forms throughout the Muslim world from Turkey in the west to Hyderabad Deccan in the East.

Tasty Haleem. Used to eat from Chowk Yateem Khana and Kachari Lahore. Had harisa from Lakshami Chowk Lahore and was great. Missing Lahore.

Hedz DV Peshawari Haleem has its roots from Afghan Haleem. Its made of meet and wheat flour. In breakfast we add fried egg, mince meat, fried ginger, fried onion, chilli flakes and ground corriander on top.
Laeeq Ahmed yes I know, but for me what makes peshwari haleem better compare to afghani is that its not extremely heavy in oil and grease. For example, afghani palo is very heavy but peshwari is just about right for a person like me, other than that everything is similar.

gaurav tiwari u can still make haleem with lentils and wheat and add tomatoes , palak, zucchini , kadoo mixed curry in haleem let it cook add onion bhuggar, Harra masala,chaat masala in it and cook with national ka haleem mix masala it has all vegetarian masala the only difference is adding meat so instead of meat add veggies curry with National masala paket

All the major consulting firms and financial institutions have projected that with this growth rate India will become a developed country by 2030..It's already is world's 3rd largest economy..! But, there are issues with India..Farmer suicide is also an issue..But, we are working on these issues..But, problem with pakistan it is based on lies, pakistanis deny their pre-islamic history, they deny their problems, they lie about their anccestory..! They don't work on their weaknesses..Gap between India and Pakistan is now too huge to put these countries together in the same bracket..Don't fool yourself..Do something about your problems..It's already the shittiest place in the world..!!

Haleem is arab dish. Over 1400 years old. Iranian and afghani culture brought it to the subcontinent and was eating by muslim settlers. Local converties then added morer flavors to it. Its not indian but an arab cuisine.
