- In the near future, the world is at war: the USR (the Undersea Silence Revolution or the Underwater Silence Revolution) a mysterious organization led by Admiral Red and his powerful submarine UX, wants to stop human exploitation of the seas, having torpedoed many ships and ports. The world's navies unite and form the Peace Keeping Navy, or PKN, to fight the "terrorists". Every major UN member contributed a submarine, though the Japanese entry is an old clunker, the 707, and it is running late to the inaugural meeting. When the meeting finally begins, Admiral Red and the UX come to spoil the show with a spread of torpedoes. Arriving late in the battle, Captain Youhei Hayami steers the 707 into the way of a torpedo launched at the supercarrier that serves as the PKN's flagship. His ship is destroyed, but the flagship survives.
Six months later, Captain Hayami is given command of the salvaged and rebuilt 707, and takes a crew of old comrades and brand new cadets to sea to fight Admiral Red once more. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
はじめてこの作品を拝見しました。主人公にも大切な家族がいるが、敵にも大切な家族がいる。敵 役も家族の前では笑顔になっているシーンがあり、とても良かった。

小澤さとる先生原作サブマリン７０７、懐かしい響きですね。昭和三十年代の少年サンデーに連載時、おそ松くん、オバケのQ太郎、サブマリン７０７は超人気漫画でした。水曜日になると目の色を変えて雑誌を買い求めたものです。速水艦長が呟く「なむさん…」は、我々少年たちの間で流行語になりました。
実は、アニメ化も予定されてたのです。しかし、放送直前になって中止(~。~;)?。機械の故障との発表でしたが、そんなもの機械を直して放送を遅らせれば済む話、左翼系の何者かが待ったをかけた可能性があります。自衛隊が戦うこと自体タブーだったのかもしれません。それが４０年後、新たにアニメで見られるとは…。Ｕ結社編、レッド大佐編、アポロノーム編がごっちゃになって時々混乱しますが、現代風にアレンジしたのはやむを得ないでしょう。なかなか楽しめました。有り難うございました。

音楽と映像の温かい感じに涙が出そう。遠軽の雪の光景は、今の北海道と重なります。作品自体が相当古いものであると知って驚きました。

最初のリアルな絵柄が突然マンガマンガした絵柄に変わるのでびっくりした。 せめて絵柄は統一したほうがいいと思う。

42:55のシーンでは、グレードガーディアン号を含め、19隻映っていたのに、エピソード2では、グレードガーディアン号含め、五隻轟沈、一隻航行不能、四隻行方不明でほぼ全滅って、UX強すぎ

それにしてもこの手のOVAは殆ど2話絞められて続編が出ないのがなぁ。
要するに、PKNって、青の6号でいうところの「青」（Alternative Ocean。略してAO）に相当するわけだな。

原作とは異なる現代CG世代の子女趣味や奇抜な装飾を身に付けた搭乗員。。。創作の世界とはいえ、毎度疲れますね。。。50年後に観たらさぞかし懐かしいどころか恥ずかしかろう。。
+hoshizoraclub そんな事言い出したら、涙滴型潜水艦が主流の時代に、Uボートや伊号潜水艦みたいな形した旧式潜水艦が主役張ってるのもツッコミたくなるよｗｗｗ（まぁ、艦載のジュニアの方は、さらにツッコミどころ満載だけどｗ）
まぁ、青の6号の方だと、アニメ版はデザインが大幅に変更されて、カッコいいSF潜水艦になってたけどね。生物のロレンチーニ器官を科学の力で再現して搭載している設定は何気に好きだった。（ロレンツィニ・システム）
高機動潜水艦である事の裏付けにもなっているしね。（水中で曲乗り同然の背面航行が出来るなんて、こいつぐらいなもんだろうｗ）
改造されているとはいえ、現用の海自の潜水艦をコアにしているのも良かった。改造されてるからほぼ原形留めてないけどｗ
意味もなく女の子の露出シーン入れたりね＾＾
原作も今から５０年程前なんだな。
プラモデルを作り、お風呂場で遊んでのぼせた。

Looking at the form of the 707R she looks like the old american subs used in WW2 the difference is that multiple torpedo or surface rocket launcher in the aft.Very brave of Capt.Hayami to intercept the rocket propelled torpedo Excalibur from UX sub.The commanding captain of that mega aircraft carrier was right they make a public relations act yet they have'nt ironed out the chain of command in this fleet of subs,no wonder the USR was able to obliterate all of the sent ships in 1 stroke of attack.

潜水艦をメインに扱ったアニメは数あれど、その中でも一番なのがこの707Revolutionだと思う。
私は専門家ではないから、作品中の兵器運用に関する智的完成度や、原作との比較評価は出来ないが、この作品では主に対潜水艦アクションをメインに構成されていて、純粋に楽しめる。・・・それゆえ中途半端に終わって続編が無いのが非常に残念。
ストーリーとしては面白く、出来れば長いスタンスでシリーズ構成をして欲しかったと思う。

1- Nome of the submarines except the villian's submarine look hydrodynamic...!!
2- It shows that an American Submarine was sunken.... in contrast to reality US Navy never lost a Submarine in combat.
Actually, the US Navy has had several submarines lost in combat.
for point 2, I dont know where you got that from... but the US Navy lost 52 submarines in world war II. You can actually find the complete list of which one was sunk, what date and how on google.
