Right parents kept him around her at her home, then asked them to become a couple. But they had to know he was not on the right track in life. People families sometimes be their own downfall. People will set you up with people they would never date.
There is a level of simple mindedness, codependency, and denial that I just can't fathom. These people seem like they're clinically depressed to the point that they just can't function. I think they both need medication and therapy. neither one of them strike me as bad people, just extremely and severely broken.
I don't think either is broken. The guy has never learned what most of us take for granted. Imagine having more money than you've ever had and then going to work for minimum wage and barely surviving. It's like look at it through his eyes. With her, I think she absolutely loves him with everything he's endured and what she doesn't realize is that for her to survive, she has to take care of herself first and foremost.

I just saw this episode. I looked at that young woman and my heart understood her heart. She is trying to help him save his life. The last advice my grandfather gave me while dying was, "You must learn self preservation." This woman like me needs to learn that. She has a such a bright future. Wow. I read some of the comments below, one stating where were the parents? My answer, they were there telling her to wait. I can tell by the mother's letter to the judge. Remember when you were young and old enough to do what you wanted to do. Young and strong willed thinking love will solved all things in a relationship until you find it really takes someone to love you as much as he or she loves themselves. That young man never knew how to love himself the way she loves so. Not saying he does not love her he just does not know how. I hope they both realize what is best.

Despite his past pimp'in I think these are decent people and they need a lot of support. They need a life coach, counseling on finances and communication and they need to find an opportunity for both of them to go back to school if that's what they want. If that means going on social assistance then so be it. I think there's a good amount potential with these two. The young man wants to like his job. I think he also wants to make good money so it's tempting to him or at least frustrating to him that pimp'in was so easy and made him such good money.
