Excellent thanks for going through in detail
I ended up using "Lazy Blocks" which is a lot easier option as it doesn't need any PHP file creation. Also, it is completely free including the 'repeater' field (in block lab it was pro feature). And the best part is I can export the custom block to use in other WordPress

Thanks for taking the time to demo this but your title is a bit deceptive or at least not accurate -- it should have been "How to Create Custom Blocks for Gutenberg Using a Plugin" -- most people searching for your current title want to learn how to create a custom block "the hard way" as you put it -- that is they want to learn how to actually do the coding themselves.

This is not a bad tutorial i appreciate the education but i am really looking for developing custom blocks not in a plugin. Something that seems to be lacking is a good set of bootstrap blocks for Guttenberg. but that thank for the video!

So to create custom blocks, I must need to know how to write php codes? Also, can I create custom blocks using Astra theme?
